Dang...one thing for sure is, we know kids are throwing harder and its got to be a big reason why kids are throwing their arms out more and more often. Arms just aren't meant to throw the ball the way we do it, they are meant to throw it softball style or at least thats what I remember hearing a year or two ago when they were talking about all the extra surgeries. Of course I still think most of the injuries are because of the radar gun (Forces many to overthrow or forget about mechanics so they can do all they can to cheat and throw harder) and the fact that pitchers now don't run anywhere near what pitchers in the past used to. Man, pitchers in the olden days would run till their legs fell off, and would then run some more. I'd like to see the Sox step out and go back to that old school mentality and run the heck out of their pitchers. It ain't going to hurt their arms and at worse we'd get to see our players come back at Soxfest more often as they'd be living a lot longer.

Welcome Aboard Godfather. I couldn't be more with you. I still can't get over the fact we didn't get Millwood. I was pissed about not getting Ortiz, but figured it was because they were asking too much, and then Millwood gets traded for Johnny Who????? We could of given them Josh Paul and had a done deal. As far as I'm concerned JR just isn't interested in anything but money and he definately doesn't care if they are going to win, unless he makes more money along the way. JR is a royal prick, but I just hope this organization finds a way to win inspite of him. Man...well...the only thing going is I should outlive JR (Knock on Wood) Still, I do have some hope left that they'll land Colon or Vazquez for next to nothing, and I do believe the Sox will compete for the playoffs next season and I think they may just make it.

You better enjoy that feeling, cause those lungs are only going to get better

I think Sandberg deserved to be in over Gary Carter though. Also, I will look up Jim Kaat's stats, but from what I've heard about the guy ya, he deserved to be in. I didn't see him play though.

Hahaha, spoken like a true teeny bopper Yep...that was great Cerb

Here's a pic: Thanks for the info mac...If I recall he's put a couple miles onto his fastball and they think he could still put a couple more miles onto it. The Sox are really high on this kid and he could be our best sleeper pick since, Mark Buerhle
-
Your all set up now...how does that look Vince?
-
But his fastball is as fast as a 38-year old's and his breaking ball breaks as much as much as a 10th grader's. God I hate Osuna Last I remember Osuna was getting clocked around 94 near the end of the season and he pitched pretty damn well for the Sox, especially as a mid reliever.

Is that because you don't think he deserves it, or you don't think he's a first ballot hall of famer? If you don't think he deserves it, I'm curious to hear your argument.
-
Are you quitting cold turkey?
-
Don't worry Michelle...by the way its good to hear your quitting.... You can always use this place to vent your frustrations
-
For all this teen talk I see way too much swearing
-
I know he was a Cub and all, but he deserved to be a first ballot hall of famer. First off, he was the best 2nd baseman in his era, made like 10 straight all star games and won like 9 straight gold gloves. He is the all time leader in homers for second baseman and was a very complete player. How he didn't get voted in his ridiculous.
-
Lol...Steve Harvey, that great Reinsdorf.
-
Well, I wouldn't worry about our first base prospects yet. They have a long way to go and well, Paulie will be nearing free agency around that time. We also have Rogowski whose further ahead of the other first base prospects, but he has a ton of questionmarks too.
-
and there is another kid name pedro lopez who plays 2b who with andy playing ss and brice playing 1b, makes up our infield for the future according to the sox scouts report on BA. Yeah, Lopez looks good. Schnurstein was a 3B out of Basic HS, and set the AZL League recrod for doubles, with I believe 28. Haigwood is a HS pitcher who was 73-1 for his HS career, and knows how to pitch. Schnurstein is the 3rd base prospect that many talked about quite a bit after his real good season in Rookie Ball. As Cerb said thats where most of the Sox talent is and those guys are their because of KW. He's doing a real good job keeping the farm system strong.

There is a difference between collusion, and Reinsdorf just being cheap. Its so true Ian, so true.
-
Thats a good idea. I could use those cd's for my plane trip in a couple weeks.
-
I don't think its his hatred of KW. It wasn't KW that was doing all that, that was JR's works, or at least thats my opinion.
-
Damn...that was a good read. I remember once watching something on this subject and i think a lot of people though she was guilty of it. After reading that, mainly the part about the overdose and such, I see a lot of evidence saying it wasn't a suicide. I've always thought Courtney Love was a biatch and I guess my theories hold true against her. Hopefully they will find out if she did this one day, and if so, may she rot in hell.
-
I dont think Mark rejected it because he's worried about a year off his contract. KW slapped him in the face last year so now mark just said f*** you right back and will wait to kick his ass in arbitration. From what i've heard, Mark was looking for at least 4 years. Looks like Mark's time with the Sox will be similar to Jack McDowell's. Year by year, arbitration as much as possible. Next year the Sox will offer him another 3 yr deal, and this time i think he'll take it. I think Buerhle will be a Sox a long time.

I think the entire team is by far the youngest in the majors, this side of the Marlins. Other then Sandy Alomar, Frank Thomas, Jose Valentin they are all exceptionally young. Even Osuna isn't too old if I recall.
-
They got them, but for some reason they had held off on moving him and were going to do it a little later in a seperate, but related deal.
-
I like the idea of getting Tim Couch. I'd give them either next years 1st or this years 2nd and 3rd or 2nd and 4th. I'd then do what I could to move up to get Rogers. Of course, I am also not against getting Leftwich, then going with a safety or corner in the 2nd (if someone like Doss falls) and then in the 3rd go with a pretty good reciever (A good reciever project in the late first, early 2nd almost always falls to the 3rd)

Hopefully not for a couple games, so Crawford can get into a rhythm. If they ai'nt going to start him, then a really good week or two for Crawford could really boost his trade value if thats what the Bulls want to do. Oh ya, Fizer has always had so much talent. Now he is working real hard, and is taking the ball to the hole more. He's a real good shooter, and now that he's going to the hole (The guy is absolutely super strong) he's completing his game. Fizer reminds me so much of Karl Malone, and I think he'll eventually become our starting powerforward, if we aren't stupid and trade him. The guy is a machine off the bench and I think eventually it will be Chandler and Fizer starting at the 5 and 4.
