To me Fizer is so much like Karl Malone, its just he needs playing time. Right now he's got a ton of confidence. Do the Bulls move him and hope Baxter can put up similar stats? I like him a lot, and think he deserves plenty of minutes every game.

I'm hoping they luck out and win the lottery if they don't make the playoffs and get Labron James or trade the pick for a superstar.

He is 28 years old and will turn 29 in the middle of April. He made 3.7 million last year. 2002: .245 avg, 18 hr, 70 rbi, 51 bb, 106 k's, 7 sb. He only played in 124 games. 2001: .274 avg, 34 hr, 88 rbi, 45 bb, 138 k's, 32 sb's, 5 cs. 2000: .242 avg, 31 hr, 76 rbi, 71 bb, 129 k's, 15 sb, 5 cs. Basically this guy strikes out a lot, and will only hit .250 but he seems to walk a good number of times and is a phenomenal defensive outfielder. The guy has an arm and amazing range. He is also very good on the base paths and has plenty of power. This guy would be an amazing pickup. He reminds me of Mike Cameron with more power and better patience. Both strike out a ton, but Cruz does draw walks. Putting him in our lineup, would really give this team a complete threat, as well as more left handed power (He's a switch hitter)

Thats always been his huge flaw, he whiffs way too much, and in all honesty I can't stand the whiff. Then again, I can live with it when he's hitting the 8th whole or so.

I wasn't saying offer him that, I was saying how much more could the Tigers offer, as in how much more would they offer compared to what the Sox would be willing to pay (Like 250 K?) Maybe the Tigers offer him a mill, the Sox offer him 750.

Todd Pratt just signed a minor league deal with the Phillies. Thats one guy I wouldn't of mind. Theirs still plenty of others out their. Its starting to look to me like KW will wait and then sign them to a minor league deal, keeping one on the 40 man roster (we now have 2 slots open)

Magglio is definately our best player. I'd call Buerhle a franchise guy too, but he may not want to stick around. Garland could also develop into one of those players. PK is great, and is an amazing leader, but first baseman that can hit a bit aren't really that hard to come by. Konerko is my favorite Sox, but for a stud pitcher, I could move him, as long as Liefer wouldn't be the guy replacing him in the lineup. Of course, I'd much rather give up prospects.

Well if the Sox don't do good, Manuel will be gone after this year. Backman would be one of the leading candidates to get the job.

He won't be talking to any teams till after Christmas or at least thats what he's saying. He wants to spend Christmas with his friends and family. He established residence in Nicaragua to become a free agent and he doesn't plan to leave for the US till after XMAS.

Alomar should have enough money where he could come back to the Sox, for like 500k to 750k. This guy was liked a lot by our pitching staff, and I don't think he has any hard feelings to us moving him.

In your avatar thats Royce Ring right? I am not saying I want to give up PK, don't get me wrong, but if we could get Furcal and Millwood then I would do it. I know we'd have to give up more too. Of course thats not realistic, cause I don't see the Braves giving us Furcal, its just something I'd hold out for. I would offer them some good prospects for Millwood though. Actually, I think this guy would be a better pickup then Ortiz. The only thing I can't find is much info on his contract. How much longer is he arbitration eligible, etc.
