  1. Houston played them. It was Ming's first very good game. This guy is for real, imo. He's becoming a dominating force already. Like 8 double doubes in his last 9 games and no I ain't talking about that great burger from inn and out. Shaq wasn't playing at the time or at least I don't think he was.
  2. Wasn't he one of William's very good buddies? I don't think KW wanted to fire him, but it happened that way. Not positive on this though.
  3. Thats sweet. This would be a real good pickup for 5 mill or less. The problem is he may get big bucks. As long as this guys in pitching shape, I hope KW goes after him. He's put up amazing stats and is the top guy in Cuba.

We'll likely pick one of the vetarans up for around 500 k. I'd love to bring Alomar back, but my backup guy would be Kreuter and then Flaherty.

I'm telling ya all. Orlando Palmerio would be a great pick up. Even Shinjo would be solid, but if we got Palmerio everyone will like him. The guy can hit, plays hard, solid defensively, and doesn't strike out. Basically this guy is a perfect #2 hitter for the Sox if Rowand struggles. He's also a perfect 4th outfielder who can play any position.
  6. The White Sox former hitting coach was hired by the North siders where he will serve as the hitting coach for West Tenn (AA), whom the Barons beat in the first round of the Southern League Playoffs.
  7. That was real fun to watch. Bulls played awesome. Fizer is really figuring things out. Another double double and he's hammering those boards. He's hustling as are the Bulls. The team really is getting behind them. Also, the ball movement has been great. It was good seeing erob back out their too, cause he's real good. I like Robinson a lot. Crawford, Rose, Marshall, Hassel, they are all so damn fun to watch.
  8. I'm not sure about the Sox interest in Jose Contreras. Has he officially became a free agent? I think he'd be an excellent pickup, but we'll likely have to compete with the Red Sox.
  9. Vina has been on the trade block since the end of the season.
  10. Hope ya feel better LDF.
  11. I figured one of their pitchers would become available. It will be interesting to see what happens. I'd definately offer them Harris, Liefer and Stewart and see what they think. Maybe we could get him cheaper. Its not like Vina is that great of a pickup. Its a solid move, but they'd be getting killed. Of course he is experienced.
  12. Man, I wish BO wouldn't of got hurt. That guy was amazing.

Simpsons, now thats a classic cartoon. I forget which one was on last night, but it was hillarious. Wait, I remember, it was the one where Homer and Mr. Burns flea to Cuba with the trillion dollar bill. Ahh, true classics.

Sorry Roman bout deleting the post, but lets keep that to the thread. Some may not want to join in on it. Hopefully Mike and Guido see it. By the way, you got mail.
  16. Turner simply owns a lot of stock, but he doesn't have any say in what the Braves do anymore. I don't think he's pleased with it either.
  17. Thanks so much Jjav. Awesome job recapping it. Interesting to hear that about Buerhle...It sounds like they'll just live with paying him every year, if he doesn't want to go long term, but it isn't their fault for not trying. Hopefully Mark will think things over and decide he wants to be a Sox for a long time, if not, then the Sox will have to think of something up in a couple years. Also interesting to hear they were interested in Moyer, and how they didn't like Byrd too much. I thought it was a pretty informative interview.
  18. Blackhawks got a ton of young talent. I may actually have to watch one of their games when they are on national tv to see the new faces. I don't get many hawks games where I am, I can only look at the box scores.
  19. I still don't see what everyone has against Osuna. He pitched real good, and was able to go multiple innings out of the pen. He also did this in his first year back from an injury. His velocity was coming back later in the year, and he should only be better this year. If Osuna is healthy him and Marte comprise of one of the best 7th and 8th inning duo's in baseball, with Koch getting the 9th. Glover is another guy I think is a damn good set up man. I do agree though, Ritchie has the stuff to be a damn good reliever.

After today, the post will be heading for the off topic board. I'm hoping everyone has gotten all their anger out. This was a thearaputic thread or however the f*** you spell it.
  22. You heard it from me first. Beane is going downhill. It starts with the Lidle trade, progresses with the Koch trade, and then really starts with the Durazo trade. Although the Durazo trade could turn out great.

I thought he tore his acl or something, maybe I'm wrong though.
  24. They have been playing real good lately and are fighting for a playoff spot. The big difference is that they changed their lineup. The road record should improve now that Marshall is playing more, as is Fizer and Crawford.
