  1. I'd tend to agree, but I can't possibly buy into that being true. If it is, go for it Expos, cause Vladdy and Dunn in the same outfield is ridiculously great.
  2. Garland and Caballo should get you Colon. That deal is better then the So called Red Sox deal, and to me is also better then the Yankees offer. The Expos will also like the deal more if they can part with Vidro's salary as well, cause the more you can get rid of in one deal the more they like it or at least thats what the Expos gm has hinted at.
  3. Well, I liked how we got Foulke, and I like Diaz, so hopefully I'll like who we get next.
  4. Well, Garland is a pretty legit thing to offer up.
  5. Ian, thats a real good suggestion. I forgot all about doing that. It would allow KW's guy Harris to get playing time, and would keep Manos glove out of short. Jose would be a pretty good defensive first baseman, imo.
  6. I liked the Koch deal and the Jimenez deal and the Marte deal turned out great as well. Michelle, remember, supposedly the Expos Gm won't deal without giving Williams one last shot. So he can worry about this and know that he still has a shot at the other guys. Of course thats if that statement is true.
  7. Or so we think, then again, I think if any Sox gm would have the guts to do it, it would be KW.
  8. Well, Frank would move to first most of the time. Would the sox pick up an extra outfielder moving Lee/Thomas to first and Dh. Would they pick up someone to play first, keeping Lee in the outfield, with Thomas Dh'ing or will they just stick Liefer at 1st and then eventually go with Borchard in the outfield moving Lee to 1st/dh.
  9. I still say, do this, then do the Expos deal, then sign Kent and your set.
  10. Michelle, that deal makes a lot of sense, with the exception about money. Then again, we would have to give them money instead of picking up Snow. I'm assuming the minor leaguer is Ainsworth, the question is who are the Sox giving up.
  11. A poster named Spiff has done the graphics. Mario and I still don't have a clue when it comes to graphics. Mario did learn a ton about html from his bro though. Mark (Murcielago) and Ian (Mr. Showtime) also help out with graphics, but the main graphics on the board and site were done by a poster known as Spiff.
  12. The So called Yanks El Duque, Johnson, and Juan Rivera deal. Also the Bosox are offering Casey Fossum, She Hillebrand and a prospect. If you ask me, I still feel that the so called proposed deal by the Sox is better.
  13. You never know, it could easily work out that way. I still think that KW will pull some deal by the start of the season that gets us a good starter.

I think at best we get an ace pitcher, they get an ace closer. Imo, an ace pitcher is more important. Of course, I think neither will turn into that, although I think Cotts is going to be a pretty good pickup.
  15. Mario's doing great. I'm sure he'll be glad to see ya. You always did do a great job with Soxfanatic. :metal
  16. Well, if I worked for KW, I'd promise one thing, I'd be pushing heavily to pull two deals and one signing and it was the ones I listed in my thread somewhere down their. I'd love to see Colon and Ortiz in our rotation.
  17. Welcome Aboard Spataro. You are one of the few who actually has faith in Kenny. Of course I am one of the few as well. I tend to agree with the thinking if we give up PK straight up for him were nuts. IF we get more in return though, like an Ainsworth it is reasonable. Losing PK does hurt though, but it also gives Lee a home when Borchard comes up.
  18. Frank could be their, but man he sucks defensively to be our full time first baseman. Ya, Lief could be their too, but I don't want to lose PK's production and replace it with Liefer.
  19. I definately would too, but its also not out of the realm that he will fall somewhere in between last years season and the one before. I think he's good, but I don't really know how much better he can get. Thome was way over-paid and he only got that cause the Phils were desperate to sign someone after they were losing out on Glavine.
  20. To me KW can really fill in a free agent for Konerko if needed. Their are many productive first baseman out their.
  21. I agree with that with the exception of one thing, PK isn't cheap. He just signed a new contract that will pay him very well. 3 yrs 23 mill.
  22. Look at Konerko's stats. Yes they are good, and yes he's a leader, but you can find that out of many first baseman out their. PK is my favorite player, but I do not think he's irreplaceable.
  23. Thats a little harsh, imo. I will be pissed if they make a bad deal, but I refuse to ever Boycott the Sox. Plus, it all depends on who we get in return. I think PK makes a lot of money, so if they were to deal and get Ortiz and find a similar replacement, I'd be happy.
  24. Dessens is good. His numbers go up drastically if he went to a team with a good offense. He reminds me a ton of Jon Lieber.
  25. Deprived young fan. Don't worry hawk, I only have seen hawk and whimpy or Hawk and Dj in the box. Everything else was before my time. I do think DJ and Hawk are handcuffed with what they can say.
