  1. Interesting. I don't like the idea of giving up PK and minor leaguers, but I like the idea of getting Ainsworth and Ortiz.
  2. It was all about Hawk and Whimpy.
  3. Munoz also has a fastball with some good life to it. Lefties with a nasty curve and can spot a fastball with movement will be very sucessfull as relievers.
  4. I'll pay attention to him, but I think he'll turn into a good middle reliever at best. Thats just me though.
  5. I'll let ya know during spring training, then we'll compare your answers when you see them later in the year. I'm assuming that Ring and Munoz will be invited.
  6. I'd rather give up West, but you got to give something to get something. I do agree on your take of Malone though. Coming off an injury, I wouldn't want to give up on him. The kid has a ton of potential. I'd like a West, Ginter, and Sanders package instead of giving them Malone and someone else.
  7. Stuff wise, I think Munoz and Ring are much much better then any of our other left handed relievers.
  8. Ken Williams likes Majewski, so if he can get him back he will. Remember, Majewski was dealt to the Orioles in the Charles Johnson deal, then made his way to the Dodgers and then back to the Sox in the James Baldwin deal. He was thought of as a good pitching prospect too. I think thats how it all worked out.
  9. I'd consider that as well. San Fran has some damn good prospects, we already have one of them in Diaz, I'd definately take the other two.
  10. Man, what a great trade by the Brewers. Wes Helms should do good with playing time.
  11. I'd be willing to pick up Ortiz for cheap, if the Sox do get rid of Carlos Lee.
  12. Michelle, we have a ton of arms down their. Trust me on that. We have a good list of starters that have starting potential as well as a list of starters and relievers that will turn into relievers. With Sanders we have Munoz and Ring rated ahead of him and you could put someone like Josh Stewart in the same class as Sanders.
  13. It will likely be Malone, but I've also heard some mention of West. I know KW seems more intent on giving up West then Malone.
  14. Ainsworth is a stud, major league ready prospect. Ortiz is a proven #2 pitcher.
  15. I'm with Cerb. This guy could turn into a prospect or he could turn into a bum. Right now he's a guy with potential, whose yet to prove a thing.
  16. Its looking like someone like Malone and West would be involved as well as another prospect.
  17. I did say that Michelle, lol. I think pretty highly of Gary, as you can tell. For the past year and a half I've spoken well of this pitcher. I like Valentine too, don't get me wrong. We'll see what happens though, I think both will become decent pitchers, neither will be stars though.
  18. Ya, Rogowski is a good first base prospect, but he was banged up last season and is still likely two years away. I could live with losing Konerko, if we got Ainsworth in return as well. Otherwise, I'll stick to something like Brian West and Sanders.
  19. Damn, I'm patiently awaiting the news.
  20. He's a very good reliever in my opinion. Personally I think of him higher then Joe Valentine, etc. Still, you can't do anything about that.
  21. Remember, the minor league Rule 5 isn't anything important. I was mad to see we lost Majewski, but odds are we will get him back. Then again, the Blue Jays are one of those teams that could just hold onto him for a full season at the major league level. Still, most of the time, the teams end up getting the players back.
  22. I think he's trying to motivate his team-mates and showing them that he's their to beat the Twins. The Twins are a pest of a team. On paper you don't think highly of them, but they play with heart and just scrap out enough runs to beat ya. Oh ya, they never quit either. Hopefully the Sox can get that never quit attitude of 2000 back in them.

  24. I read somewhere that SF wanted Konerko. And for us to take JT Snow off their hands. That would make some sense, but if we are giving up Konerko, I'd expect Ainsworth in return as well as Ortiz.
  25. Offensively, he's got a ton of potential. He had two bad years, but since then, he's been working his butt off and supposedly is a very good outfield prospect. I haven't seen the guy play though, so, I'm basing this off mainly what Baseball America has said.
