Getting to be tax season, whatcha doing?
Technically I'm sure any accountant you ask will tell you it was related to services performed and thus income. However, could you get away with it, probably a pretty good chance if it was never reported anywhere. However, I always say better safe then sorry when it comes to the IRS.

Relationship Advice Thread
At my company dating a coworker is pretty common place given the sheer size of the Company and the fact that you wont' work with that person on any projects (firm policy). Met my wife at work and violated my own personal rule. Can't complain.

REI is known for great service and the ability to return. If you had that issue, I would definitely bring it up cause it will be taken seriously by management (I would assume).

Pulling for the Niners. I hate Ray Lewis. Like Flacco and Rice though.

f***..every Iowa game I watch they lose by like 3 points. Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, and Michigan State. Come on guys...finish the game. Marble with just an awful turnover at the end of the game (and then Gessel followed it up with another one).

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 2, 2013 -> 05:38 PM) Even if RGIII is healthy going forward I think Luck will be the better qb but Griffin was better this season. Well deserved. Pre ACL injury, I'd take RGIII and obviously post injury I still do. I think the better question is, with RG III's injury do you take RG III or Wilson? There is something damn impressive about Wilson (love his attitude and his performance was so damn impressive). That said RG III was incredible this year. Efficient, no picks. Best thing about all 3 of them are that they just seem to be downright good dudes. I'd take any of them over Cutler (obviously).

QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 10:43 AM) I dig the new Alkaline Trio song... I haven't LOVED that band since Crimson, so I hope this is an improvement from Agony & Irony (which I liked) and This Addiction (which I found very bland and boring) That takes me back...Crimson was an outstanding album.

Quintana vs. Santiago
I'm going with Q until he proves me otherwise. He wore out late last year but for most of the year he was damn good and that has earned him the shot in the rotation (until he proves otherwise).

Geico is a legitimate insurance company. If it is cheaper for the same coverage as state farm, use it. They aren't some fly by night company. They are owned by one of the 10 largest Companies in the world (Berkshire).

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 01:27 PM) Exactly, its incredibly difficult especially with a snap and a hold. Its basically a moving target and your leg swing has to be perfect every single time. And you are literally asked to be a 90+ percent perfect player. I've hit from as long as 45, but holy s***, it would have been blocked if there was a line. I have mad respect for kickers.

Alex Rodriguez...Yes or No
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 07:45 AM) Latest report says it is very unlikely ARod ever plays for the Yankees again. His hip will either be declared a career ending injury or they will work out some sort of settlement. If the Yankees won't have him, I believe we have seen the last of ARod on a MLB diamond. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...0,7665511.story I personally think his career is over, but if he gets healthy and is feeling good, he can be productive for a club. Although I don't know if I were him whether I'd want to play or just kind of fade out of the spotlight and enjoy the few hundred million I made in my career.

Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 30, 2013 -> 01:23 PM) The Cnet review said basically a poorly manufactured iphone 5 with a buggy OS. No reason for any user to switch over to it. IMO the ONLY thing blackberry EVER had that was an advantage was their keyboard and the Push email function. Both are gone. They are still the leader in the government sector due to their security. That is what will keep them in business for a while longer (or at least make them attractive enough for a merger).

QUOTE (Lamar Johnson 23 @ Jan 30, 2013 -> 12:40 PM) IF the Yankees are successful at voiding the remainder of A-Rod's contract, and IF his surgery is successful (and he passes a drug test(s)), would you take a flyer on him if you were the White Sox? Absolutely. For the right price, I wouldn't be opposed.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 29, 2013 -> 04:47 PM) Yeah, but Deng only played 31 minutes. Jimmy is taking minutes from both spots. But Deng was in his first game back from an injury, so you'd expect his minutes to be limited. We'll have a better idea a week or so from now. Bulls need to find a way to limit Deng & Noah's minutes.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 28, 2013 -> 08:34 AM) I only sit 200 or 100 for Bulls - it's so much fun. I dont' go often but when I go to lakers/clippers games it is always in a similar section and the event is just a total blast. Atmosphere is better, imo, and the game is more entertaining to me (I'm not a big hockey person...mainly because tv doesn't do it justice; live is awesome).

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 28, 2013 -> 08:02 AM) I feel like hockey and baseball are better life, NFL is better on TV no question, and NBA depends on where you sit. NBA down close is pretty freaking awesome. I have NBA, NHL, MLB, and NFL in that order. I could never order NFL season tickets (one game is fine with me) because it is just so much better on tv.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 28, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I assume this is the British version? Ive been watching the US one, and its been solid. When you say the US one, do you mean the one on CBS? This one is a BBC show. Each season is 3 episodes (1.5Hr's long). They have done two seasons so far and you can stream for free through prime if you are a prime member. I watch the US one and it doesn't even come close to the BBC show. One of my favorite shows of all time (wish there were more episodes). It is so well done, imo.
