  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 10, 2012 -> 06:49 PM) CJ Watson must be the dumbest player, the second dumbest is Thibs to have Asik in the game. Asik missed 2 free throws but you couldn't expect much other then that. It isn't like the Bulls were sitting on a timeout to get him out of the game. Asik hit the shot that put em up in the 1st place.
  2. I'm getting pumped up for the big game tonight!!!
  3. Any update on Taj's ankle and/or if he is going to get suspended (which would be a travesty).
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 8, 2012 -> 10:08 PM) No b****ing about the refs tonight? You know the Sixers shot 13 more FTs than the Bulls, right? The calls were much better though. The officiating the past couple games was horrific. Bulls still choked but there were some horrific calls that assisted Philly offensively. But no excuses, Bulls have to bring there A game on Thursday.
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 8, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) Is there any other way to describe Watson this series other than an abject failure? I mean this is just ridiculous. He was better then Lucas. The offense flowed better with him there then Lucas, imo. His shot is still off but he's imprved at least.
  6. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:57 PM) Such a terrible mental mistake by Taj there, you cant foul 3 point shooters, its just horrific. Ummm...pretty sure he thought he was going to be able to hold himself up but forgot the fact that he's playing on one leg and hence, lost his balance and fouled him. Clearly a bad foul but it was due to his injury more then anything else.
  7. QUOTE (Jake @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:45 PM) This thread died. Well, we're looking okay. Taj giving it his all. Boozer and Deng showed up today. Only thing killing us right now is Ronnie Brewer Brewer really played well tonight. I bagged on him last game, but he stepped it up. I really liked having him on Drjue. He really slowed him down and was fantastic tonight (defensively) and offensively (not shooting the ball, but driving and creating penetration to where he would then pass to another player and get them an open look). Great win. This is going to be a tough game in Philly, but lets bring this series back to Chicago!!! Hopefully Taj will be okay and Noah gets better.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 7, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) Quintana has less AA and above experience than Nestor Molina, FWIW. Guess they consider him more expendable. Per Phillip Rogers, the Sox are very high on Quintana.
  9. In hindsight, J4L is right, Bulls would have been much better off acquiring Mayo. Asik will never develop offensively.
  10. The fix is in. That was total utter bulls***. Boozer was f***ing accosted.
  11. Got the Tigers feed on today. I think I've listened to Hawk one game and that was too much. He's freaking brutal and Stone, who I used to like, isn't enjoyable either. Maybe its just Hawk overflows everything but I can't stand em.
  12. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 6, 2012 -> 10:39 AM) Did Steve Stone just call Peralta a "fantastic SS?" He's been hanging out with Hawk too long. That's insane. I won't even watch the Sox broadcast anymore. Almost any other announcer is better then listening to Hawk.
  13. The problem with Asik out there is that he's more a low post guy and its hard for him to be out on Hawes. Hawes is on fire though (and that 3 wasn't on Asik).
  14. On the DVR, it looks like Brand is the last one to touch that ball (knocks it out of Korver's hand).
  15. Damn, Brewer was open...Boozer was too slow on the pass.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2012 -> 10:36 AM) Neither is the rim Its why I didn't want the Bluls to sign him. They needed a guy who can stretch the court, not a poor mans Deng. Good god, the Sixers have hit some ridiculous shots tonight. If Bulls can just stay with them, they'll be alright. Thank goodness for Taj!!!
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 10:36 AM) Against a 76ers team that only wants to drive, Brewer is a good defensive option. Im just more mad that Thibs didnt start Taj who has been good and let the Bulls get into a hole. I like Taj. Whether he started or not though, whatever, he's going to get a lot of minutes today. I do think he should have been in the game when the Bulls couldn't score. Gibson can score. I want Butler out there and Watson should be permanently benched.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) Oh hey its Ronnie Brewer, I thought Thibs forgot he existed. I'm not a big fan of Brewer.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 10:28 AM) I think Jimmy Butler gives the Bulls a better chance right now, Watson doesnt seem healthy. I really like Jimmy.
  20. That is the 3rd consecutive position in which Hamilton was hacked with no call (this time away from the ball). After watching the garbage officiating in the 4th quarter and now this, what the hell.
  21. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 6, 2012 -> 10:26 AM) So CJ Watson hasnt made a shot in 2 games I think, yet Thibs refuses to switch it up. At some point you just have to try anything when you are so undermanned, just give James a shot, it doesnt really matter at this point it cant be any worse. Some of the worse point guard play I've ever seen in the playoffs. Watson has been absolutely brutal. Hamilton has been raped on a few plays with no call. This is brutal.
  22. So I was posting from my iphone last night but I wanted to reiterate that J4L is correct. Without Rose the Sixers are a terrible match-up for the Bulls. They are very athletic and strong defensively and without a guy like Rose who can break-them down the Bulls are going to have a difficult time scoring. They were able to score a decent amount when Lucas was running the point. Yes, he's a lousy point guard but thus far he has played significantly better then Watson, who just isn't the same player when he starts vs. coming off the bench. Offensively the Bulls are going to have to play a lot with Taj/Boozer on the floor (vs. Asik) and that shouldn't really be an issue given the fact that the Sixers don't have a true center. They still have a chance to win this series but to be frank, these teams are about even (especially when you are without Noah, who had really stepped up his game since Rose went down). Noah is the man, a tough guy, and someone I will forever cheer for. He has his limits and flaws but he plays hard and does things the right way. Also, for those of you that were bashing Boozer, I'd be very curious to know what guy you were watching. He actually played about as good of defense as I've ever seen him play (that doesn't say much, but he had active hands and slapped quite a few Bulls that led to some Sixer turnovers). On offense he was more aggressive and about the only guy who was looking to score (outside of Rip, who needs to stay aggressive...his shot will fall). Had Lucas not played like total s*** in the 4th quarter and got the ball into the post a few times, we'd have probably won (but instead Boozer hardly got any touches; I realized he missed a couple late shots but he had no rhyhtm). PS: This is the saddest I've been watching my team in the playoffs ever. This is such a likeable squad and it sucks to see em go down like this. I'll pull like hell for them to win and I was disgusted at the Sixer fans for cheering Noah's injury.
  23. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 4, 2012 -> 07:43 PM) Boozer is so worthless. You mean the one guy who played well. How about they give him the freaking ball more.
  24. It isn't things fault and Jordan is right. Bulls can still win but I want to see gibson starting.
