  1. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) Do the Bulls have to make another move to pull a LeBron signing, like a Deng trade or do they have enough for James now? Evidently a message board rumor going around is that a Detroit station is reporting that there has been talks of a 3 way deal with the Bulls/Blazers/Pistons which would move Deng &Maxiell to Portland, Bayless/Pyrz to Detroit, and Rip to Chicago. Take it for what it is worth. Personally I don't know how that is really that great of a move? I think we need a 2 guard that can shoot long range and I don't see Rip being that guy.
  2. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) Where Noah and Rose fail, perhaps Boozer becomes the hero: f*** yea!!!!
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) Guys. How could LeBron say no to joining our stacked roster? I don't see it happening! Clevelend + mommy banger? New York + Danillo + Amare? Miami + Wade + Bosh? Chicago + Rose + Boozer + Noah? New Jersey + 12 wins? Don't forget Deng and Gibson. Heck, Deng is better than Danillo, imo and Gibson is pretty solid too. We have by far the best roster for LBJ to join. The only thing we'd need to do is basically tell LBJ that we have a 2 guard that we will be acquiring for Deng and him knowing we have it done. If the Bulls can do that, well, than they'll be completely ready for LBJ.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:07 PM) B & B made a few interesting points, Boers thinks this move alone makes the Bulls equal or better than the Heat, this was a move to help counter any momentum the Knicks may have gained with Amar'e and it is official that they have a max left One thing I ponder, why would Boozer take the exact amount needed to leave room for a max if he didn't think we had someone else coming? Just something to think about!
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 02:03 PM) The possibility of a sign and trade is still there for Boozer. The Jazz might want something back. Dump them with Deng's contract. It could involve Okhur getting sent over to Chicago as well or something along those lines. Who knows. But the nice part is, we are at least on life support in the hunt for LBJ, if not better. I still have hope and won't quit until the Bulls are told no or someone other than Chicago is told yes.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:53 PM) I've been wanting Boozer since last off-season. But after all this, I didn't want him THAT much... Boozer is better than a lot of you think. He isn't amazing, but he's a serious upgrade and we don't have to give up anything to get him. Will it be enough to get Lebron? I don't know, but that core is pretty damn good. You add Lebron and that team should meet up with the Lakers a year from now.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:46 PM) athomeboy, put bucher back on the list for the love of god!! Seriously, I had to go digging around to find Bucher. Athome...pronto, add Bucher. In the meantime, here's the link for people: http://twitter.com/ricbucher
  8. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:44 PM) Bucher: News that should make Bulls' fans happy on espn.com shortly. Lol...watch Bucher become our savior...than LBJ become our savior!!!
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:43 PM) Bernstein says the Bulls FO think they have a chance. Come on baby.....
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:37 PM) Chad Ford says that the Bulls had Wade, but decided to wait on LeBron. Again, if this is true, this front office disgusts me. That would be awful if that was the case. And if it was the case, than that has to make you think they'd have felt pretty good about LBJ. Please come to CHicago.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) http://twitter.com/ericmansfield Apparently, an online form has LeBron changing his home from somewhere in Cleveland to Chicago...? Who the heck is BJ's home? I read on RealGM someone saying something about tax stuff. But who the hell is BJ? Is that his mom?
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:31 PM) Not to bust bubbles, but KC Johnson doesn't think the Bulls have much of a shot, and I trust what he says. What he's hearing is that the Bulls haven't heard a "no" yet, but he didn't know if that means anything. He seems to think the Bulls are working aggressively on plan B. I will say this, KC just said a lot of people hearing the New York angles think it might be leaks from LBJ's camp to hype up the story. If that is the case, wouldn't you think we'd here pro Bulls leaks as well. Wouldn't that be better for TV if they were going to fake leaks? s***, what do I know. I guess it is good that we haven't heard no. But I also want to know what we are doing to sell him since KC is "telling me there's a chance".
  13. Wow, what a kick in the nuts: - We lose out on Wade/Bosh - My teeth hurt from dentist visit today (just a cleaning, thankfully no cavities) - Peavy out for a while - We might lose out on Lebron Lebron coming to Chitown could help redeem it all!!
  14. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:27 PM) From DeLuca: Detatched lat for Peavy likely means he's out till Sept. best-case. White Sox will pursue starter on trade market. What? Why? Ouch.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) I just don't care. I'll call him an asshole because that's what I think about him for now, if he signs here, I'll completely change my tune. Complete flip flopping but I really don't give a s***. I hope that tomorrow around 9 you are calling him the greatest player in the world and the greatest guy in the world!!!!
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) Just because they lost out on LeBron and Wade and Bosh, doesn't mean it's good business to behave desperately to sign Boozer. Besides, now Boozer holds some of the cards. He's probably going to sit back and enjoy his day in the sun. Maybe not, but I would expect to hear that we are talking hardcore about Boozer or Lee or other things. I'd even expect to hear a bit about what we talked to Lebron about, etc. If we were out, we'd hear a lot more about our pitch. Heck, as of now, we have absolutely no idea what the Bulls really sold Lebron on. None. That tells me about a team that hasn't given up hope becuase if we had failed, they'd be spinning it already. Hell for all we know Lebron hasn't made up his mind yet, he's just leaning one way or another and has told himself he needs to decide by tomorrow so that he can move on. I think the sales pitches are still out there and even if they aren't, Boozer is a really good fit. He likes Chicago and has wanted to play here and the Bulls have tried repeatedly to land him in the past.
  17. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:20 PM) Thank you God someone who shares my optimism on the Bulls silence. It should also be pointed out that the Nets haven't indicated they have given up either so that makes me think Lebron is to an extent in play.
  18. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:20 PM) Thank you God someone who shares my optimism on the Bulls silence. Haha, doesn't mean I'm smart, but I try to read as much between the lines as possible and I just think if the Bulls knew they were out, we'd have heard something by now. That isn't to say they know they are in, but I'd like to think they are in bunker mode trying to finalize the details to bring the King to Chicago (and not the Burger one).
  19. I can't stand Obama, but please Barack, if Drose won't do it, call up Lebron and tell him whats up, LOL.
  20. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:16 PM) Agreed. We obviously know lebron is signing here and are sticking to our word with him to keep everything mum. That is why I'm hoping. I really hope all this New York spin is just that, spin, and that the Bulls FO is quiet and Lebron is quiet and ultimately he'll be coming to Chicago to battle it up with Wade, etc. I'm probably wrong, but I refuse to say it is 100% that Lebron is not coming to Chicago. Especially since people in Cleveland seem to think he might be leaving Cleveland. Also, evidently, the event is in Connecticut because it needed to be close to Bristol. Why they wouldn't have done it at ESPN headquarters is something I wonder, but if it is at a local Boys and Girls club in the CT area than I don't see it necessarily meaning anything.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:14 PM) The chances of LBJ to the Bulls are at 0%. I can't believe how different things looked just a week ago. We should pull some of my over-confident posts from that time period right after WWW's bulls*** announcement. Steve, I'm gonna suspend you until after this announcement. Maybe it will give us some good luck since you cursed the entire franchise with your blind optimism
  22. Why have we heard absolutely nothing from the Bulls. If we are out, why haven't we heard that we are doing XYZ? You certainly would think we would have moved on. I know we are apparently in contact with other FA's but I would think if we were out on Lebron we'd already be jumping all over other people.
