  1. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:32 PM) We should have definitely sent Fields. I didn't catch where the ball was in relation to where Fields was. But in this kind of game, yea, we should.
  2. QUOTE (scenario @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:30 PM) Josh actually runs pretty well. What I can't understand is Cox's decision making process. He'll send a guy like AJ or Thome when it's obviously not a good idea... And he holds up Getz and Fields when sending them seems like a no-brainer. WTH? For his size, you're right. I didn't see if he could have made it or not.
  3. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:29 PM) Brent Lillibridge is just terrible. Exactly. Yet another POS scrub on our roster. We have too damn many guys like this (thank God we have one less in Owens).
  4. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:28 PM) He's a singles hitter with very little plate discipline, no real power and awful road splits. He's making at least twice as much as he should and has very low value at a power position like 3B (though the Rangers lineup more than makes up for it.) He's a very nice player to have in your lineup but he's no where near a top tier offensive talent. He's only playing there because this team makes him. He's really a 2B. I would like to see his road splits... can you give me a URL?
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:27 PM) s***, lillibridge might as well just go deep here. it'd make enough sense at this point. Deep where? Out of the infield?
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:14 PM) Well he isn't so he shouldn't be. But on national sports shows? Pretty often when they talk about infielders. ok, but when you talk about the average this guy hits for - and no it's not the park in his case, IMO. Power? Sure. But not so much average.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2009 -> 09:58 PM) Then it's time to tear up that old Constitution and replace the vagueness of so much of it with a 300000 page specific document spelling out in exacting detail what should be done in every single case. Otherwise, there's going to be interpretation and perspective in everything...because what one person considers to be a vital right may be something that 8 other men simply can't understand. Everything's all touchy, feely, emotion. The constitution is not supposed to be a touchy, feely document. It is set up to govern our country, not tackle the emotional aspect of every goddamn problem that faces our country. It's a f***ing insult to sit there and say "8 men can't understand". Do you know how moronish that statement is? If there was a law broken for that poor girl, then let the law stand for itself, not the emotion of it. That's absolutely the problem with liberals and really pisses me off. Sure, I care. Sure I want justice. But not based on some emotional outlook. If we govern every issue based on emotion, it's no wonder there's the politicization there is, because you cannot fairly judge law that way. In a court setting, the lawyer's job is to make people understand the emotion behind it and the related legal arguments to those emotions, if you will. That includes "8 men" on the Surpreme Court. Their job is then to interpret the law, not their damn emotions behind the law. PERIOD. Everything else is a blatent disrespect of our Constitution.
  8. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:12 PM) How can a 5 time All Star, Gold Glove award winning, $80M+ player possibly be "under the radar"? How often does he get mentioned as one of the better players in MLB in every day baseball conversation?
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:07 PM) I thought Alexei's was gone. He's fooled me twice tonight, I guess the ball just isn't carrying to left. It doesn't in that park unless the wind forces it that way. You can jack it to right, though.
  10. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:06 PM) LF: Pods CF: Lilly Bridge RF: Carlos That's maybe the worst hitting LF/CF combo in the game. Ewww. You ain't kidding.
  11. Who the hell do we play out there now, if he's out? We have by far the worst OF in the majors if JD goes down.
  12. AWWWWWWWW f***. JD down. That broke his hand I am almost certain.
  13. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 09:50 PM) The Rangers hitters are approaching this one like a Home Run Derby. As well they should at this point.
  14. Broadway's gotta love this... his home town (he went to college at TCU).
  15. Well s***, if they haven't called it, get ready for some baseball because the rain is finally over.
  16. QUOTE (Baines3 @ May 2, 2009 -> 09:29 PM) Is that an official game yet or not? I only watched part of it on WGN, till we got down 9-1 then switched to basketball. It is if they call it one.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 09:20 PM) Hawks up 5-2 late in the 3rd and the Royals just took the lead 8-7 in the 11th on a bases loaded walk. The end of this hawks game is going to get ugly...
