  1. The difference is, today, liberals want the touchy, feely to come first, not the lens of the constitution. Because, that's a way to create an activism for "rights" that are NOT guaranteed by the Constitution. There's a big difference in that and what you are suggesting.
  2. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 2, 2009 -> 04:10 PM) After the TV did the channel scan, it found all the channels, but they are not the same as the guide or the station listing. If I want to watch, for example, TLC-HD the guide will list it as channel 251, as will the channel lineup from Time Warner. However, it is 84-4 on my Vizio TV. Disney HD, which is 126 in the guide is 84-3. Al of the digital channels have different designations. Unless there is an easier way . . . You don't have a box (converter)?
  3. Your first duty is to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Not explain what you feel. THEN, and NEXT, not BEFORE, do you apply your knowledge to the law. They INTERPRET, not DECIDE what the laws are. If the laws are not what they think they should be, CONGRESS re-writes the law, NOT SCOTUS. I may not like certain decisions, but if they interpret the case based on the Constitution, and not what THEY think, then I cannot argue against a decision.
  4. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 3, 2009 -> 06:58 AM) Some nice parallels to Reagan, especially spending spending spending. He is following a less than inspired leader and has charisma and charm. He is winning me over, but he is facing bigger challenges than any President in recent memory. If he was playing center, instead of centralist, we would have had him judged 98 days ago. Where the hell is the Soxtalk rush to judgment? I am appalled.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 3, 2009 -> 06:44 AM) Where was this display of "emotion" when Bush crapped all over the Constitution with FISA? He didn't. So answer me this: if all this stuff is Bush crapping on the Constitution, then why doesn't Congress pass the laws necessary to ensure there is no ambiguity in the future regarding these very laws? I know the answer, let's see if you do.
  6. Ugh. What a bulls*** night all the way around for the Sox.
  7. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 2, 2009 -> 11:04 PM) If you have no control you can not throw inside. Understand if you try and throw inside and miss your spot, so will our pitcher. Well, obviously not...
  8. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 2, 2009 -> 11:01 PM) Aiming or not then they need to focus on throwing outside and not attempt to come inside then. Lillibridge needs to be gone for a mediocore outfielder with potential. What?
  9. I don't think any of the pitches were aiming. None of them.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:56 PM) It was sarcasm, I hope you know, as Contreras has never thrown a curveball. Nevermind. I am asleep.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:54 PM) Disagree...his observation of Jose's curveball was awesome. Ok, he has one good point in two days.
  12. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:50 PM) Somewhere, right now, Pods is stretching out that groin so that he can get on base in the ninth and create some mayhem 2005-style. Lisa's in the clubhouse?
  13. It's done already. :lolhitting Play the damn game.
  14. There's one very small cell right over the park. It will be gone in 5 minutes.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:44 PM) Ball got a little slippery for Alexei there. It'd be a shame if we didn't get a chance to finish this one up, given the 5 unanswered runs and all. It's a small shower, not a thunderstorm, they should just let them play through it.
  16. Alex, you f***ing nutball. Are you drunk? That damn Pods sig.
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) Getz got to him yesterday. He did? Bring his ass up.
  18. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:38 PM) It is when you rely on your home ballpark as much as him. I honestly believe the only ballpark he could really succeed in outside of Arlington is the Twinky dome and their concrete infield. And .278 is terrible when you're only major asset is your ability to hit for a high average. I can't argue that point.
  19. We will not score another run. They can't hit a s***baller like this.
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ May 2, 2009 -> 10:34 PM) It's like you can smell it. Where's the damn chart? Look, I just think he's a pretty good player. Superstar? No. But a really good player who always seems to put the ball in play. Except against a suck ass Contreras.
  21. .278 BA is not that bad. I don't disagree that it's a big contract, but I do think the guy can hit and he's not that bad defensively - AT 2B. SS, no, not so much, nor 3B, although he's just gotten moved there this year. I would argue that most guys have a better home BA, so, it's not that outrageous.
