Hey, seriously, everyone that can vote needs to vote. No excuses.
-
Isn't it amazing how the races are "tightening"? These pollsters are trying to safe face.
-
ok, ok, you win. The United States military hates George W. Bush's policies. Europeans hate George W. Bush's policies. Islamists hate George W. Bush's policies. Republicans hate George W. Bush's policies. Christians hate George W. Bush's policies. Atheists hate George W. Bush's policies. And it goes without saying Democrats hate George W. Bush's policies. So, the entire world hates the man's policies. Get on with impeachment already of both Cheney and W. so Nancy can order drapes in the White House. And there's no green in this post. I'm serious.

QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Nov 5, 2006 -> 12:16 AM) More like USA Today is against the military, since all 4 of these are published by theGannettGroup and thewriters all work for USAToday. They are publications about the military, not by the military. SHHHHHHH! Shut up with the facts...it ruins a good story.

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Nov 4, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) I can't imagine that the timing is any more political than Saddam Hussein's trial verdict coming out the Sunday before an election. Which is crap too.
-
So this comes out the day before an election. How nice. The whole bunch of idiots must go... WOOT! WOOHOO! YEA!!! KICKASS!!@#$!
-
I think it's funny how we're all of a sudden hearing about the "kindler, gentler" Democratic party. Puuuuhhhhhhhlllllllllease.
-
I *GUANANFRICKENTEE* that if Dems change the capital gains tax as has been suggested, it will NOT help the markets. Duh.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 3, 2006 -> 05:58 PM) And obviously I'm more extreme than some people on this issue but right now I think the democratic party has gotten so far left its absolutely mind-boggling and to me frightening. DING! It's definitely not the party of "reaching out for compromise" right now. The bottom line is most people in this country are "conservative", and no, I don't mean Rush Limbaugh conservative... I mean they are fiscally conservative, and the leftist crap that we are seeing definitely doesn't support those conservative notions. Small business will be devastated should the Dems get elected, just read their own words on the matter.

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Nov 3, 2006 -> 04:50 PM) You know what? Maybe I'm naive, but I'm pretty sure that a Democratic party does want good things to happen in this country. And I think that they would allow the opposition a bigger hand in making things work in this country than the GOP would have. The GOP led Congress doesn't even give Democrats a real voice here. Maybe the Democrats won't either, but you know what? I'm sick of thinking that unacceptable is good enough because the other people might be unacceptable too. Nobody gets an automatic vote from me. They have to earn it. And there's very little that the GOP leadership has ever done in the last two years to earn my vote. I think you're naive! Seriously, I hear you... that's why this is even coming up in the first place is listen to the "disgruntled" GOP people that are "staying home" this election. The GOP has crapped themselves pretty good and I agree with that assessment, but I think the alternative - an even stronger divide then is there already, is NOT going to lead to some miraculous "they will work together" fairy tale like you wish would happen.
-
Rex, you think that a Democratic Congress WANTS to work with the President? No personal offense, here... but what the f*** planet are you on? Look at the constant negativity and personal crap that's spewed every day from the Democrats... and they want to work with this president? Come on.
-
I never, ever vote straight ticket.
-
Limbaugh can apologize the same day apparently, unlike Kerry.
-
Really? Set time tables. We must leave. Iraq must step up now. Let's see now, GOP says #3, and so do Dems. #1 and #2 are Dem debating points, so how again are they debating it?

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 05:01 PM) Amazing how riled up people get over something like this. Anyone care about the actual issues anymore? QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 05:05 PM) Haven't you heard... Master manipulator MJF is now the most important thing in politics. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) You mean gay people? QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) At least according to Laura Bush.... As I said in the MJF thread, they are all a bunch of assbags, and Big Sqwert, I agree with you. At the same time, it amazes me to what ends people go to defend stupid quotes like this. The quote was stupid, and instead of lying about it, Kerry needed to say he misquoted and he made a mistake. God forbid that Lurch is human.
-
John Kerry screwed up. "But it's just a little misquote". /rolly John Kerry has a history of slamming our troops (for political gain, I might add) for over three decades. The guy is a class A jerk (to be nice).
-
I'm dreading our precinct. The lines were terribly long last time, and there are twice as many people that live in our area as there was two years ago without adding another polling station.
-
You know, this whole damn thread, myself included, is TRASH. It's EXACTLY what's wrong with our entire political system. It's called using emotionalism and not actually dealing with the real issues of our time. It's called sucking all the money you can out of the political coffers without really ever confronting things head on just to get re-elected as an incumbent, or throwing money like a drunken sailor to unseat the "big bad incumbent". It's called making people drones so they don't have to think for themselves and just sit and listen to the MSM and "entertainers" such as Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. It's called disgusting.
-
I guess I should make myself clear after re-reading some comments in this thread, including those by myself. I think what Limbaugh said is bulls***, too. It's all political hackery... and that's what I don't like about it.

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 28, 2006 -> 04:52 AM) They could have turned Chicago into a hub if they used Gary. That's hysterical.
-
QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 28, 2006 -> 03:15 PM) Do you have any evidence whatsoever to support your paranoia? One thing that has been said somewhere on soxtalk in the last few days, and I'm in total agreement, is to get the damn election system UNIFORM. There's too many ways to vote (optical, push button, whatever), and it should be the same across the country, so everyone votes the same way. How hard is that? Too hard, I guess.
-
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Oct 27, 2006 -> 07:14 PM) The problem is, many people seem to want MJF to support people who are basically trying to make sure he has no chance of survival. First, it's not just MO that these ads ran in (or were planned in). That's part of the issue I have with it... because now the agenda has changed. Second, the line I quoted of yours is the rhetoric I'm talking about and that's crap. Yea, Republicans are stealing your grandma's social security checks, kicking the s*** out of your dog, screwing over the old people's medication, they're racist, and now they're trying to kill MJF. This is why I wish he could do his "agenda" another way.
-
QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 27, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) Because the republican that is facing the dem in that area DOES want to criminalize...bla, bla, bla..? Maybe that one incident was horses***, but you did say "I'm pretty sure that it was planned by the Dems to use MJF," and that part is horses***. MJF marches to the beat of his own drummer. No one uses him for anything. Who contacted who to do the ad?
-
My problem with this is when he says "Republicans even want to criminalize... blah blah blah". That's horses***. Do what he does, fine. Stay out of the political ads.
