Hmm - then we should probably just meet at an upcoming Sox game. I'll probably go to a game after this west coast trip - Unless, of course, you want to drive out here? Whatever floats your boat...
-
Wouldn't it me funny if Trebek (that's the host, right?) just said 'no' when Ken answered, even if he was right?
-
Where do you live? And how far are you away from Orland Park? That's the city right next to Oak Forest, where I live - and it's apretty popular place.
-
Back to the game - I'm probably on my eight or ninth game and my passing game still sucks. However - I'm starting to run the ball very well, especially against good teams. Defense is fun as hell, teams are barely scoring 10 points on my vaunted Northwestern D. The Dynasty starts tomorrow as soon as the rosters come out.
-
No - not yet. I guess my parents have to make sure I'm ensured on the car I'm driving (1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, Leather interior. Solid car.)
-
Wooh! I passed baby. The guy kept talking to me about basketball, the whole time. I told him I play varsity, and he wouldn't stop talking. It was pretty funny. Now to go get some food, and then a bit of NCAA.
-
Well, guys, wish me luck - It's off to the DMV to see if CWSGuy can pass the driving test. And then when I get home, it's off to the basement for some more NCAA 2005...
-
Happy Birthday. Hopefully Tuomo will be a lifelong Hawk and get you that Stanley Cup Championship, something all Hawk fans hope for! Have a good one!

I won't be starting my dynasty till Wendesday, when the first edition rosters come out. But I can't wait till that day. Noah Herron, in each game I've played, has ran for 100+ yards every game. I really need to stick with the running game more often, it works for me. Once I get the passing game down I'll be damn good.
-
But everytime I do it, I always get the fans, never the players, whether I hit square, circle, or triangle. Oh - nevermind - now I got it. Pracitce makes perfect, I guess. Anyways, take a look at the Sox schedule. Maybe we can get together for that Minny series in late July? Well, let me know.

Yeah I was a bit overexaggerating, sorry about that. I think I've found my offense. It took four games but I found it. I just had a drive that felt so f***ing good. 11 plays, 58 yards. Nice and slow. I ran it down their throats. The option and the draw are working for me... yes yes yes!
-
What team are you? My problem is probably because I'm Northwestern, Noah Herron isn't really a fast back. Only 86 speed. EDIT: One more question, SnB. Have you figured out the celebrations yet>? It says that R2+Square will do a player celebration, yet every time I do it, it cuts to the fans. I am mucho confused..
-
Hey - SnB - is it just me or does the game seem really, really slow? I can barely outrun the linemen...
-
Do you hear Joe Morgan? What a f***ing dips*** - 'Those pitches look like they have movement, which they aren't supposed to have.' If I was Tony Pena, I would have threw him a curveball and just walked off the mound. That would have been friggin' hilarious.

HAHAHAHA! SAMMY WHIFFS AT THE FIRST PITCH!!!

OK - here are my disputes with the game so far: -First, sometimes, when you decide to carry the ball with your QB (like in times when you're under pressure), you hit L2 (the tuck button), your QB takes a couple steps toward the direction of the linemen. Not good. -Second, when you try and run the hurry up offense, it only lets you call the fake spike play/spike play - as opposed to calling your regular play. And it doesn't let you change your play until your whole team is fully assembled at the Line of scrimmage. This take a TON of time off the clock. I'm playing my first game on All-American, Northwestern vs Notre Dame, and I'm losing 10-0 at halftime. I can't do a damn thing on offense. I might have to change playbooks, because this playbook sucks right now. I'll let you know how it ends. One more thing - for those who've played a game or two, is it just me, or are you guys fumbling a lot?
-
Yeah - I didn't pre-order that one, but doesn't it have like all of the old Madden games on their too? That's awesome...
-
SnB, great idea. I've already met Krush, but all three of us need to get together for a game. I'll have my license in a week or two, so I'll be able to drive up to the Cell and tailgate a bit too. I got that cornhole (the bags game where you throw it through a wooden hole) game too, and I'm ready to dominate you both in that too, just like I will in NCAA 2005...

Through a couple of games, here are my observations: -Defense is so much fun to play. Using the Big-Hit control, I've had at least four big hits so far, and a bunch of them on wide receivers to make them drop the pass. One even caused a fumble. -I played at Ohio State, and let me tell you - it is seriously loud as hell. From the moment they run out of the tunnel, especially on defense. We're getting surround sound installed very soon, so it's going to be awesome. -On offense, it's pretty hard to throw the football. Well - it's not hard, it's just, IMHO, it's easier to run. Draw plays as well as the option are very effective. -I really like the system of 'hot-and-cold' players that they have installed this year. If a player of yours gets rattled easily, and you're playing at a place like Michigan or Ohio State, avoid throwing it to them as much as possible. -I haven't started a dynasty yet, but that is probably where the game gets very good. They've talked about suspensions, transfers, recruiting, etc, and all are new/improved this year. That's about it - again - I've only played three games. For those who've already played, is it just me, or is hard to control your celebrations? I tried doing a player 'light' celebration, but the mascot would show up. Same thing when I score TDs too. Well - let me know.
-
Krush - if you're up for a game in NCAA 2005, give the cellular phone a ring. I believe I gave it to you in a PM. If not, it's in your mailbox again.
-
Yeah - I have this Sharkport thing that you plug into the USB and get the rosters. It's pretty sweet - If we meet up at the Sox game, I can bring an extra memory card with the rosters on 'em, and you can just take my memory card and send it back to me.
-
Well guys, I just finished my first game. Lost 10-0 to Michigan. Man - it's f***ing loud as hell. The controller shakes like crazy too. This one time I tried to call an audible, and I guess my players didn't know what to do, so when the ball was snapped, my QB just tucked the ball and started to run. It's awesome. The cornerback play is much improved (I had two user picks!). It's an awesome game - I can't start my dynasty till I download the rosters later in the week though, so that sucks. But if you have any questions, let me know. (Oh, and there's a create-a-sign feature. I'm gonna create multiple signs! )

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! I WENT TO GAMECRAZY AND GOT IT! YESS! Now - to the basement, where I shall not be seen again for fifteen hours!
-
No - I plan on going out to this place five minutes from my house, buy the game, go later and get the pre-ordered copy, and then sell it to a friend. Sweet deal, huh?
-
SnB, just looking at your avatar gets me excited!
