  1. As of late, I really like the approach Paul Konerko is taking at the plate. He is seeming to wait for his pitch, and once he gets it, hits it hard. Rowand a rip right at the SS who gets an error.
  2. And by posting useless crap like that you get 80+ posts in one thread... :headshake
  3. Come on fellas - let's go. Take some pitches, get on base, we need a win tonight. Let's go!
  4. So it's Kenny Williams fault this team hasn't been performing well lately? It takes two to tango - teams don't just trade players mid-June. If you want Kenny Williams to give up Jeremy Reed and Joe Borchard to get Freddy Garcia, than Kenny can make the trade. Would that make you happy?
  5. Way to let Schoenwies down, fellas. Damn - an easy DP, Uribe throws it behind Konerko, then a soft grounder, and Paully can't stay down on it. We in some trouble, fellas... :headshake Schoeney hits Blake...
  6. Yes sir - Rowand has earned a platoon spot against lefties with Harris in center. Homerun Rowand!
  7. I just have a bad feeling about this game. Hopefully the Sox can make me eat some crow about that feeling, but it doesn't feel too good. Anyways - what do you guys think of the new features on FSN tonight, like the motion camera on Lee where every steps he takes the picture of him freezes but he keeps moving, and the motion-ball camera?
  8. We're in some trouble if Sabathia is fooling Thomas...
  9. Crede K's. Valentin lined out before - damn, talk about taking the wind out of our sails. A rip by Valentin, but right at the RFer. Then Crede strikes out. A potentially big inning will now probably go for not.
  10. High IMO... Anyways - Rowand has earned a CF platoon spot against lefties, once Mags gets back. Harris/Rowand should be our two headed monster. Also - I know Sandy catches the lefties, but Olivo should be starting when there's a lefty on the mound.
  11. Patience at the plate tonight fellas. Got to get to that Cleveland bullpen. It's a must. Oh yeah - we have a fifth starter. Scott Schoenwies.
  12. Come on Scott. f***ing bear down, will ya?
  13. :headshake Not a good start for Scott. 3-0 on his first pitcher, but ball 3 looked like a strike. Homerun, 1-0.
  14. I have a question about 'strikes', sorry if this is a stupid question, as I really don't understand all of the economics in baseball/baseball executives: Why would the MLBPA/MLB executives set up a contract that would end before a season would end? Like - wasn't it two years ago that there was almost a strike, but it was avoided (I'm thinking around September). Anyone help me out here?
  15. CLIPPERS GET: 4th Pick 33rd Pick BOBCATS GET: 2nd Pick (Where they will take this foriegn center, who's name I don't care to spell out nor can I spell it out.
  16. I'm seeing 'Dodgeball' tonight so that's a no-go for me.
  17. Thanks Jim. Damn - it would have been a nice boost to get Mags back for the Cubs series. Oh well, hopefully the three-headed monster of Rowand/Perez/Gload can keep up their hitting.
  18. Anyone know when Gonzalez is scheduled to make his debut? And will it most likely be out of the bullpen, to get his feet wet, or will he jump right in as a starter?
  19. Speaking of the Brewers - aboz (this should probably be in the Future's section) - what do you think of the Brewers first pick, Mark Rogers (IIRC?). He's a high school kid, I think, do you think that was a reach there or a good pick?
  20. Yeah - if he could walk as much as he struck out, plus the power, he could be a very good player. Until that happens, he's a AAAA player. If a deal on the table was Borchard/Rauch for Garcia I'd probably do it. Unfortunately, I don't think it is on the table.
