Saturday Starter
Is this official yet or is it a possibility a trade could be made in the next few days?

Saturday Starter
Let's sign Gio and have him pitch Saturday. No, seriously though, best of luck to Munoz! Six innings, four runs or less, and I will be a happy man! Good luck!

New Sox Ticket Commercial
Can someone forward me the newsletter? ttyrant406@yahoo.com is my address. Commercial sounds awesome! I was partying tonight - Won three bucks in the game 'bags', not much, but considering I was eight in the hole, I dug myself out of it and got on the possitive end!

Official Day Two Draft Thread
Maybe Kenny 2 can solve our right field situation.

update on trades
Yeah - Felipe Alou seems to be Dusty Baker 2, or vice versa. 144 pitches against the Cubs IIRC, and the next game 120+. Like Dylan said, though - If we got Sheets, a rotation of Buerhle - Garland - Sheets would just be so damn awesome. I know we'd have to give up a lot, but... Damn.

Tony La Russa visiting the southside...
mooch - That sig is money right there!

update on trades
I would give up a lot for Jason Schmidt. He is - a stud, a horse, an ace. Everything.

Cubs starting pitching
Ill be happy with a split, but thrilled with four out of six. I've heard we get Prior twice which blows, but I'm hoping we get a lot of Greg Maddux and Glendon Rusch too... Like it or not, this is the best Cub team we've had to face ever during interleague. While I'm not as pessimistic as Brando (1-5), I'll be happy with a split. Anything more and I'll be thrilled.

White Sox interested in Kris Benson
Yeah, Kelly 'I had a HUGE Clutch Hit Earlier in the Year' Drandsfeldt? Yeah - I'd do Kelly squared for Kris Benson too, but things don't work that way. They don't want our crap. It'd have to be for a prospect...
-
Koch is relieved of the Closer duty!
Yeah - Wunsch can at least get out lefties. If you can send Koch down to the farm I'm totally OK with that.

Gio Article
I love this kid - once he signs, he officially becomes my favorite pitching prospects!

A game 7 for all the marbles...
Well, after the Draft on the 26th or around then (Don't have the exact date.), well, then there's a couple of prospect camps up at The Edge in Bensonville, and then, and then, and then......

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
But is it better than Billy Koch's? But seriously, for a moment, I can't comment about Arnie Munoz having never seen him pitch. But if Munoz has a curve that's half as good as Gio's, my expectations just raised for him a lot.

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the reason they probably didn't take Szymanski is purely money based, and probably because they wanted mostly pitching after taking Fields in round one.

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
With an even better fastball IMO. I posted a link in the Palehose Talk forum, but check out his video on MLB.com. At the 1:45 point in the video, he gives this kid a backdoor curve that is just filthy. Please - please - please - please - please.... No injuries - and sign this kid! Best pitcher we took all day IMO.

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
Aboz - just wondering (again) - do you like the pick of Gio Gonzalez in the second?

Cubs starting pitching
Their offense is too streaky (kind of like ours, except our leadoff hitters are MUCH better.) IMO. The Cubs really should have pursued Luis Castillo, he'd set the table perfectly. Pettitte-Clemons-Oswalt-Miller-(Who is their fifth starter anyways?) vs. Wood-Prior-Clement-Zambrano-Maddux vs. St. Louis Offense, and sometimes Matt Morris. vs. Reds offense, and a reserugant (sp?) pitching staff. vs. Heroics of the Brew Crew and the Bucs. Fun in the NL Central.

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
Well then, I guess the Sox just shouldn't even have drafted anyone and just forfieted their pick. I mean, it doesn't matter who they'd pick, they are going to be a bust...

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
So, because I support and like the pick, you jokingly call me an expert now? If you hate the pick so much - who would you have taken at 18?

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
Thanks for that Miss Cleo...

White Sox Draft Fields In the 1st
You've posted the same damn thing in three seperate forums. You're making an uneducated and frankly a stupid assumption. Please, please, have knowledge of something before you waste bandwidth. :fyou

Josh Fields, 3B #1 Pick
Quote from the man of the day, Josh Fields himself (from www.chicagosports.com): "It's a dream come true to be taken where I was and to have the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong dream," said Fields in that press release. "I've always been a big Frank Thomas fan. Now I'm looking forward to getting to such a great city and joining such a great organization."
