  1. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 03:39 PM) Is that only his 2nd good ST outing? Something like that. And It's a damn shame that's two more than most of our starters and his ERA, SO/IP numbers etc. are better than 4/5 starters. EDIT: The only coquincidence is that Danks has been better overall.
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 02:28 PM) The Trailer for GTA 4 comes out today, I can't wait. I saw it online about a month ago. OMG it's badass. If you can't wait, or take the suspense, I can shoot you a PM of the website where it has the trailer at it's going to show tonight.
  3. You wanna be the best, you gonna have to beat the best, at their best... Wait.......
  4. Damn, that's a sexy line-up were sportin... God damn that's horrible..
  5. QUOTE(WCSox @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 01:50 PM) but I'm not convinced that he'll better his performance last season, either. What's to stop Bonderman from pulling an '06 Jon Garland? I know you weren't quoting me or anything but where do I start.... WTF? Jesus look at their history before you compare. That's a terrible comparison. I'll simplify this since I had to say this to another poster two years ago when I saw the improving Bonderman. He has improved in ALMOST EVERY STAT since he's been here. Each year he's basically went ^^^^^. How the hell is Garland comparable to that B.S.? Garland is a mediocre starter, a solid #3, a finesse, a 4.50 pitcher. Bonderman is a top of the rotation starter, a power pitcher, potential ace. Garland had his career/fluke/whatever year in 05. He's two years older than Jeremy. Almost every statistic Bonderman has improved in. Again I can take comparing starters that are studs, but that was just ugly.
  6. Beautox, that's a hellova find.. LMFAO!!! Peyton Manning, well done.
  7. Oh just put some "dirt" on that arm and he'll be alright.
  8. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 11:37 AM) He worked on the pitch in AAA, I don't know who he learned it from Supposedly from what I heard and from what other Twins fans are saying, it was Brad Radke. Again, who knows.
  9. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) He has the worst infield arm in the history of baseball as well as lackluster range, yeah he does hustle the guy's a grinder I wouldn't expect and less and Timo Perez and Scott Spezio also have 2 world series rings, so yeah I don't care. God damn Kalapse.. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 12:48 PM) It was my recollection from chisox.com at that time. There were a lot of posters who closely followed the minors back then and made regular trips to BIRM as well as North Carolina to see White Sox prospects play. Ah, I gotcha. Thanks for clearing it up.
  10. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 12:17 PM) At the time of the trade, I would say it was 75% upset at losing Miles, 25% excited that Uribe could get it turned around with a change of scenery and a coaching staff and clubhouse that might push him to improve his work habits. First of all, your way off, more people were happy that we got Uribe and was excited about his potential. I loved Miles and so did most of the posters but we knew he wasn't our long term solution and was just a AAA player for us basically. And secondly, how in the hell would you know? You weren't even around here at the time. Other than that, I agree with you.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 01:18 AM) It would be nice if more than a day went by when something overly negative didn't happen during this Spring Training. Well, I think everyone can agree that you are the most/best pessimist on this board.
  12. The stress this club has presented on certain posters' behaviors is humerous.
  13. QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:53 PM) One Former Sox Player suprisingly gets sent to the Minors: Jeremy Reed. KW better get his ass on the phone to get this stud and for cheap? I'm gonna drool.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 29, 2007 -> 12:08 AM) I'll take him.....and I believe you were being sarcastic about C. Young? Isn't it obvious.. , even though I hated C. Young as a spect when he was here so that trade doesn't bother me but that's another chat entirely.
  15. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:59 PM) What's so difficult about stretching him out in Charlotte? As much as I disliked inserting McCarthy into the bullpen prior to 2006, it was understood his role was to provide multiple innings in the event a veteran starter is either ineffective or injured. Logan could easily make it possible to have him in Charlotte. Yet, why was this ignored? Your questions are as good as mine. Honestly I'm kinda looking for excuses for all of this. HA! I'm sorry but I had to chuckle from this sentence. Depth my ass. There's no many question marks up and down that.... well... I suck at telling jokes, just being goofy is my style.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:58 PM) For me personally, it's all about the message the organization is sending, as well as the incompetence of our manager to evaluate personnel. I just hope, and pray that they have a plan. I'm still scratching my head. Something has to be "invisioned" that's behind closed doors.
  17. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:46 PM) I have never felt this sick going into a season ever. They can be best team in the league, and that's the part that makes me feel sick, because with the way the current situation appears, it doesn't matter if you perform well - if you are in Ozzie's doghouse, you aren't coming out. Off Topic: I'm sorry Wite, but it looks it your losing that bet already unless there's a catch that I'm not aware about. (Like him starting 27+ in AAA since it's just the "season" not the ML level.. )
  18. Okay, I've settled down on Sisco now after reading around some articles, websites, etc.. I would say KC really stunt Sisco's growth as a starter from what KW was saying even though he can still be used as one eigher by getting sent down if he stinks it up, or as a second thought from the organization. It seems were could be content with him being a bullpen guy for the future, maybe even a closer like KC had him as, if anything ever happens to Jenks. He was probably gonna get a bullpen spot eigher way even thought I'm sure some didn't expect Logan to be lights out again like last season in ST. KW was indicating where Sisco himself wants to invision himself as, and he wants to start but also wants to be here so is taking the "professional" attitude on wanting to be in the bullpen. I think the plan might be the same with BMac as I feared. Grooming him in the pen, letting him taste some ML hitting then put him in the rotation in 08'. At least that's my personal opinion on this.
  19. This season will probably be the "Prove Me Wrong White Sox" type of year and I'm not gonna point fingers. It's for the entire team/organization.
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 11:17 PM) I still don't think this is a bad team We really do have a solid team but unfortunitely for us, were playing in the toughest division in baseball. It's a damn shame that in most divisions, we would be very dangerous and damn near 1st every season. Even last year 90+ wins couldn't get it done. Just in this era now our division has gotten tougher and tougher over the years.
  21. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Mar 28, 2007 -> 10:55 PM) Looks like OG and KW are determined to go with experience (DE over BA, Sisco over Logan, Aardsma over Floyd) and they're going to go down fighting before they sell out and go with the full-court youth movement in 2008. It sure is looking like it. I can agree with this even though the Aardsma over Floyd was a wash since both were terrible.
  22. No doubt I can't understand the Logan situation. Even though the sox are consistant with their handling of their young players debate. I can understand if Logan had a sup-par year in AAA but he was downright dominate. It is a head scratcher.
  23. For anything that has clutch in it, give me Joe Crede anyday and twice on Sundays. And for clutch in the pen I don't trust anyone to be honest even though Thornton does make my heart beat alittle more steadier. Starter in a must win game.. Count (even though I would say Vazquez if he ever got run support.)
  24. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 27, 2007 -> 10:32 PM) I think Kenny will eventually trade for someone to catch for us but it may be a couple weeks into the season when he makes said move. I'd say a month or two mostly because of the Toby Hall situation. He will rehab it of course for that month or so and they'll consider where he stands from there.
