Maggs is asking for 14+ million a year which is still higher than Jones' contract. The sox could talk Atlanta into taking some of that money in Jones' contract, but I'm not sure they'll even consider doing that.

I wouldn't mind an Eric Gagne Jr.

A. Jones is awesome defensively but is the Valentin of the Braves (and I'm sure you know what I mean.) But my god what an upgrade. Ortiz is ok too, even though I'm not that high on him.

I would put Olivos name on that list in the near future. That GS he hit last year was HUGE.

We've already faced Prior and Zambrano (their 2 best pitchers) And were facing their "worst" (and I put that pretty mildly even though he's the only one with an about 4+ era) pitcher tomorrow in Maddux. I can see us taking 2/3.
