  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2017 -> 08:24 PM) Kopech's command starting to be an issue in his starts. He needs a breather His numbers this season remind me of Neal Cotts when I was following him back in the day.
  2. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 15, 2017 -> 07:47 PM) Take the DSL walk number with a HUGE grain of salt. Pitchers have no control down there. 14 walks to 9 K between the two teams today. I feel much better looking at the box score and seeing 0 strikeouts for him. Obviously he's not being challenged.
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 02:45 PM) Why not have each groomsman with a bridesmaid on each arm? Nobody likes the guys pimpin apparently.
  4. Robertson is terrible in non save situations.
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 09:06 AM) Ace, Are these guys , for the most part anyways, players that have signaled they aren't interested in signing? Burns for sure is going to Auburn.https://mobile.twitter.com/TannerBurnsAU/st...727362742583296 McConnell and Mace are very unlikely according to Cahill from BA https://mobile.twitter.com/tedcahill/status...762145434664960 No idea about the other high school prospects on the list. And yea.. saw Beck has a stress fracture in his back. No wonder he's still on the board.
  6. BA's best available top 10. #38 Tanner Burns - RHP (Decatur, H.S ) #39 Brady McConnell - SS (Merritt Island, H.S.) #41 Tristan Beck - RHP (Stanford) *mentioned him since day 2. Shocked he's still on the board. That back injury must be serious* #62 Garrett Mitchell - OF (Orange Lutheran, H.S.) #69 Jake Eder - LHP (Calvary Christian Academy, Fort Lauderdale) *really like the scouting report on this kid, but he'll be a very tough signing* #73 Bryce Bonnin - RHP (Barber's Hill, H.S.) #75 Greg Jones - SS (Cary, H.S.) #76 Chris McMahon - RHP (West Chester, H.S.) #82 Daniel Cabrera - OF (Parkview Baptist, H.S.) #87 Blaine Knight - RHP (Arkansas) *ranked one spot after Luis Gonzalez And there's guys like Mace, Hurt, Drohan, Van Eyk, Campbell, Williams, etc. (Burns, Eder, McConnell, Mace, Schwarz are considered tough signings however)
  7. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 08:22 AM) Raw power no doubt, but prior to this major league stint, in game power wasn't much different for them at Charlotte. Where I was going. I watched Davidson for years in the minors. That was one of his best assets as a prospect. Just don't see Nicky generating that in game or not. We'll see.
  8. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Jun 14, 2017 -> 07:30 AM) - He is Davidson with a worse glove. He doesn't have near the power as Davidson, nor the strikeout rate.
  9. Their might be a team that takes him today in the later rounds since their won't be a pick value.
  10. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 08:26 PM) Micker Adolfo. Hoping he puts it all together, I think the dude can be a stud. He has the highest upside of anyone on that list, and this is coming from somebody who likes Basabe the most.
  11. Love.. LOVE the position talent the sox are accumulating. My only gripe is the lack of left handed pitching in the org. So far, 0 left pitchers have been selected. But that's a small gripe in all of this.
  12. QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 12:23 PM) f*** Yeah!1!!1111!!!! nailed that pick weeks ago!!! Can't believe he was still on the board. My favorite steal right there.
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 10:58 AM) I would imagine both of them will start in Great Falls. I believe Hostetler said Burger could start in Kanny actually.
  14. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 08:49 AM) Don't get me wrong, he played amazing in the series. He just absolutely pads his stats because he knows how numbers based fans are. Same reason he stopped half court heaves a few years ago when he wanted to shoot 60% from the field for the Heat. Preach.
  15. Hostetler likes his chances at 3B. If this organization has truly improved with prospects getting better defensively (Collins looks great this year) then I like the kid's chances of staying there. I love Burger as a hitter. If he stays at 3B (which he probably will) he's a very, very good prospect. And with the Sheets selection, the Sox feel that way about his future there too.
  16. QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 13, 2017 -> 02:14 AM) So where do the sox go from here? next pick is at 87 followed by 117. I would love to see them snag Luis Gonzalez at 87 [mlb.com has him as the 106 prospect] a left handed hitting CF, his profile just screams this new philosophy and he has been comped to Ender Inciarte. He put up this line in the MWC .361/.500/.589 - 1089 and has more walks(58 20%) than strike outs(32 11%). Klaw also had him as the last pick in the first round in one of his recent mock drafts. LOVE Gonzo. I highly doubt he'll be there when we make our pick so I didn't mention him. Would be a tremendous get though.
  17. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 10:59 PM) Don't forget about dessert - a Danish. I'd rather take the Jameson shot.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 10:27 PM) Riley Adams for round 3 a target? Still hoping for Beck, but ima take another guess and say they grab the juco lefty Tillo.
  19. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 09:55 PM) Big Sheets fan. I like this pick. Also finally out of travel hell. f*** you LAX. I literally PMed a poster here about the sox taking him since their was such an uproar about Evan White. Awesome.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 08:59 PM) Top five you want round 2? Don't say Rooker, he won't last I can't count Nick Allen then? I like Beck from Stanford if they were going pitcher although I'd like tp see more lefties in the system. Position player, which I hope they go with again, I have to think about. I doubt Miller is still there so.. I think they'll go with a high school bat maybe.
