  1. Just crazy. I always thought Jake Peter would be the one but he's been fantastic with the bat since he was drafted.
  2. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jul 22, 2016 -> 02:29 AM) Really getting tired of making these threads. ..the hell? I was the first to do this way back. But yes I agree.
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 2, 2016 -> 07:35 AM) You were right, still an absurd rush job IMO. Yea our organization doesn't know a thing about absurd rush jobs right?
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 10:06 PM) From Whitesoxdave FWIW I was told the #WhiteSox turned down a Benintendi, Kopech, Johnson/Ball, and PTBNL package for Quintana from #RedSox Solid offer, but I don't blame the Sox for turning that down. They can get more in the offseason. I just don't like guys like Melky, Robertson, Lawrie, Jones, etc. still here.
  5. https://mobile.twitter.com/FriedgeHNIC/stat...147869495992320 Good god.. the Hawks should jump all over this. Even if you don't believe in the offense anymore, he'd probably still be the best 4th line center in the game (though I think he'd still out produce Kruger). His face off numbers are still elite.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 10:30 PM) Jesus Christ everyone here is a tough crowd. Fulmer isn't a bad pick. If he wasn't as rushed as he was, there would be a different tune here. He was a fantastic pick. Same with Rodon. Thank god Anderson is pulling his weight. He'd feel the same wrath too (and he was also rushed, screw Buddy Bell).
  7. I probably like the Dodgers prospects more than the other two teams because of Urias and De Leon alone even though the other teams have by far the better position prospects (Texas especially). I just feel our organization can properly develop those two (though Urias doesn't need much).
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 11:26 PM) I'm predicting a GOAT meltdown around these parts once the deadline goes and nothing of consequence has transpired. I'd rather nothing happen at the deadline for us than to see us trade Sale/Quintana (or anyone else) for an underwhelming package (what I'm fearing the most).

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 04:09 PM) Hard to tell. First of all, it's really unclear who is in charge in this organization. I'm not saying he has done a great job, but I'm concerned he might not have full control of personnel based on the various comments from Kenny on the way the organization works. In most organizations, the GM is hired as head of personnel with a few exceptions. To answer your question, most organizations would have fired Hahn, but most would probably not have his boss working that closely over his shoulder. Considering rabbit and others have said Hahn wanted to rebuild 3 years ago and KW/Jerry wanted to retool, I can see it.

Chris Comito has had a sneaky good season.
  11. Sox desperately need speed in their lineup as well as many other things. Even if he's a 4th OF, it's a solid move.
  12. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 01:47 AM) Their fans actually like Profar more than Odor. So do most scouts.
  13. Melky should be an excellent trade chip. He's getting hot at the right time.
  14. Eaton probably would've made that catch. As a result, Gonzalez makes 2 extra pitches and the hitter gets a basehit.
  15. Wow.. Buxton. That was amazing.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 06:52 PM) What happened with Buxton As a prospect or the little league home run he just did?
  17. Lmao. That's White Sox baseball for ya.
  18. A soft tossing lefty is usually Avi's style.
  19. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 06:19 AM) Just saw an article on PurpleRow.com talking about Yency Almonte, the pitcher who we traded for Kahnle. Back to back shutouts for Rockies Class A team. I was not a fan of the trade as soon as it was made from the trade thread below. I liked Almonte a lot. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...97492&st=30
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:44 PM) Whatever the hell they did with Hansen's control, seems to be working. Just have to hope they don't rush him next year.
  21. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 08:33 PM) Im thinking gallo is like dunn. Tho saw someone said he could be a Russell branyan 2.0 Gallo is 10x the defender Branyan was.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) lmao Caulfield you were pimping and preening Lincecum every bad start Shields had. Caulfield gonna Caulfield.
  23. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:31 AM) Kalapse rule of thumb: If, while arguing with Kalapse, you think to yourself "this is preposterous, how can he possibly take this position????", then Kalapse is winning and you realize that he is playing the thread Stop giving away the secrets.
  24. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 08:11 AM) Getting Josh Naylor in the deal. What the f*** are Hahn & KW doing. That is a hell of a deal for the Padres.
  25. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 11:07 PM) My guy on the inside says it's all but done. I hope your right. I thought he was pretty much going to Boston.
