QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) This is definitively false. Garcia has elite speed. Sanchez has played in a 148 games in the MLB. That's basically a typical full season sample. He has 3 SBs and 3 CSs in his career in the bigs. Garcia, who doesn't even fulfill all of his base stealing potential, has stolen 191 bags in minors and is 19/22 as a big leaguer. Yep. Garcia is definitely the faster/better baserunner but I'll throw out the major league stats. White Sox are one of the least SB per attempt teams in the bigs. Robin isn't very aggressive in thst regard. But in either case, it's still Leury even by the eye test.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 06:08 PM) He played on the top line of a stanley cup winning team and scored 52 points. At 21-22 years old! Rock you're better than this. And no offense to Toews and Hossa, but they ain't Kane.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Marc SteinVerified account @ESPNSteinLine NBA sources say Tom Thibodeau is closing in on a five-year pact in the $10 million range annually to become coach/president of the Wolves. Rooting for him. Outstanding move for the TWolves. Felix somewhere is probably jumping in joy.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 02:04 PM) Panarin is one year older and scored 24 more points this season. An argument? Yes I'm sure one being on a s***ty team and the other playing with the Art Ross and likely Hart winner didn't quite tip the scales there..
-
Wow.. Bears should be all over that.
-
I'm glad there's someone on this team who can take a walk besides Eaton and Avila. Thank you Lawrie.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 08:02 AM) I'd rather have Anisimov and Panarin now and moving forward than Saad and Sharp. Saad is a stud and only 23. Now? I'll take the first two. Moving forward? Only Panarin has an argument.

QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) If it's for Rozy, I'm actually OK with it. I'd bet it's for Svedberg.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Lefty, speedy, good defense.....and he gets sent down in favor of Sands....sigh.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) @AdamSchefter After medical rechecks, Notre Dame's Jaylon Smith is not expected to play in 2016 and teams are unsure when he will play again, per sources. That's a real shame. He was quite a talent.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 07:16 AM) He isn't tough enough to play on that top line yet. Hossa can still win a board battle. He has Ladd and Toews already winning board battles. A guy with his vision can be a weapon on that line.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 07:55 PM) He seems to always be on the "checking " line but that just doesn't fit him. He needs to play with more skilled guys but there is no room on the second KGB line. Maybe he could switch with Hossa? He NEEDS to switch with Hossa ideally. Hossa is a 3rd liner at this point. I still think Teravainen is probably Toews future RW although he can play center if he bulks up.

Frazier at least brings it with the glove. Something we couldn't say with the Dunns, LaRoches etc. of the world. Still way too early in the season. Hell, he leads our team in RBIs for god's sake.
-
Roszival was awful. Easily the worst player on the ice for either team
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) So of course after everything this offseason, Dexter Fowler has been incredible. If only LaRoche retired earlier. Yea other than him taking out their 22 year old stud left fielder, he's been outstanding so far.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) Jose getting himself out The league knows what to do with him. Most of the pitches he gets are out of the zone. I miss rookie Abreu. -
QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 04:48 PM) I guess that I do tend to explore some pretty desperate alternatives, in my never ending quest for a left handed hitter. I'm the first to admit that. Funny thing is... you weren't until Quinarvy called you out on it a while back.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 07:21 PM) Hawk was saying they were worried about it in spring training. I have always liked him, but if he isn't going to throw stirikes, give him a Knights uniform and call someone else up. Agreed. Just weird. Almost as if he has the YIPS or something. -

What's up with Petricka's control this year. He's already walked 5 guys this year. He only had 18 all of last season. -

Really wish Robin ran more with this team. Melky for example can easily be a 10-20 SB guy here. Hell, Rizzo is up there with the Cubs and I'd argue at least 6-7 guys in our lineup are faster and/or have bether technique. -

QUOTE (harkness @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 07:04 PM) I swear we lead the majors in that category the past 4 years... outs recorded without the pitcher actually throwing a strike That comes with the lack of OBP (still) with this team. Eaton and Avila have the best eye of the strike zone, but only one of them is actually good. -
