  1. Bump. MUCH better banner boys.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 02:56 PM) Ahh-vee-sah-eel May I call you Avi? Garcia will wear 26. He'll have to wait for 34, unless he doesn't care. Damn you whitesox. There isn't even a player on the 40 man wearing that number. Would help alot of people who already have #34 Garcia jerseys too.
  3. Trade is growing on me as far as the player, but it had to be done financially. Should be interesting to see where the sox end up with now in the draft pick standings down the stretch.
  4. I still would like to see Garcia get the development time down there to still work on his plate discipline, regardless if Rios goes or not.
  5. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 12:32 PM) Secondly, Quintana never really accomplished anything before his positive test, so it's not anywhere near the same as Braun or ARod, who won MVP awards while on PEDs. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 12:38 PM) Correct, although it won't (or hasn't if they did or didn't know) stop people on this board for mentioning the positive test, even as a 17 year old kid. Case in point. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 12:54 PM) Not to mention, the Sox have Quintana and Flowers on the roster who have both tested positive. Just funny.

  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 11:24 AM) Same deal here, actually. He was one of the reasons you got TO that championship game, though! No he wasn't. I picked him up very late in the year when I was already like 12-1. Didn't start him for two games (that's when he exploded) so I decided to start him in the playoff game and he bombs (as did the kicker Tynes and his 0 point game) AND I just lost by three f***ing points.. THREE! But yea.. still doesn't top Rowand's 0.9
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 7, 2013 -> 08:18 AM) Danario is cursed. Screw Alexander. That asshole cost me a f***ing chance at the championship in fantasy last year with his 0 point performance. *cue noone cares about your fantasy team squad* Karma is a b****.. All kidding aside, that is a bad break for the Chargers. That team definitely needs the help as it is.
  9. Hawk has an iPad?!?! Technology?! Hawk?!?!?!
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2013 -> 04:26 PM) Yeah, if you cut him, that'll teach him the lesson not to have a concussion. Or at least to toughen up and not report the symptoms. Yea, probably the only receiver on this team who actually has the balls to catch the football in the middle of the field and won't get alligator arms. (Marshall gets a pass, cause well.. no explanation needed) No beef with Cutler's college buddy at all.
  11. Possible 11 game losing streak tonight (most since 1956) possible 30 games under .500 (40-70) and possible 11 quality starts in a row resulting in a loss. (unheard of) Oh, and there's that A-Rod thing and the media circus. Should be fun!
  12. Torii Hunter. Notorious sox killer in more ways than one. Haven't seen us lose 10 in a row in a long time. Whatever pick the sox end up with (Rodon, Gatewood, Beede, Hoffman, Toussaint, Jackson, etc.) I hope they use every source of scouting they have to make sure that is the right call for that prospect to succeed here.
  13. Houston lost. (my god their bullpen is terrible, there's no way the sox are worse than that team) I guess on the bright side is Minnesota won, cause they were starting to suck alot as well. Separates them a bit from the pack.
  14. QUOTE (glangon @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 09:18 AM) Should we not reflect this year on the banner. The pointless smile from Ramirez (the stupid grin he does whenever he makes an error) on one side with a frustrated looking Sale (the look he has when the team makes a stupid error that costs him another win) on the other side. It sums up the season perfectly. That's Garcia, not Ramirez. But yes simple, boring banner with our two future guys in it, in a rebuild.. symbolizing what we are this season... juuuust about right.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 07:35 PM) I feel like I want to put Danish in the top 10 but I really can't find a spot for him. I view him higher then Snodgress and soxtalk's boner Micah Johnson, but that's just me personally. But part of these list is about performance and even though Danish has great peripherals, doesn't have quite the body of work to fully judge yet, hence why fathom's list to me (minus a change or two whoever you ask) is fine.
  16. Fly ball..... caught.
  17. My avatar of the Peavy surgery serves as inspiration of a rare injury and well... It's f***ing cool to look at. Best wishes bud.
  18. I'm one of the biggest Danks fans on this board, but with three young, cheap LH already (Sale, Santiago, Quintana) and potentially another if the sox really suck or what the Stros do (Rodon) might be best for the sox to part ways.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) Are you referring to Archie here? Ima assume he meant Jackie, though I could be wrong cause that whole 3 way deal throws it off.
  20. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) I personally would put Johnson ahead of Garcia still. Call me crazy. Your crazy. I'd probably flip flop Semien and Thompson (though I personally base alot on upside/potential) but I like the list.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 03:39 PM) Tell me about him? Potential Baby Tulo in the making IMO. I still can't see us being worse than the Marlins like I said in another thread, so Beede wouldn't be a bad consolation prize at all. Top of the rotation stuff, good potential.
  22. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 31, 2013 -> 10:34 AM) If Sox do get number 2 pick, and the Astros take Rondon. Who do you want the Sox to take? I'd like Tyler Beede It is definitely Gatewood, but if Beede has a good year next year, he'll be hard to pass up. Great potential. I still can't see us being as bad as Miami though, so Beede wouldn't be a bad consolation prize.
  23. Texas and Pittsburgh with big F's to this point.
  24. Alot of posters sleeping on Montas. Kid might be the gem of this trade if he can harness his control. Really, really like his arm.
