  1. Not only did I see every pitch and stay up until 2:30 AM - I was too jacked to go to bed until 3:30 AM. Even then I didn't sleep for at least an hour. I didn't bother going to work today.
  2. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 02:26 AM) Hi guys. What's new? Lots.
  3. Uribe had time to take a step toward first instead of throwing it right away. If he had done that, he would have seen the runner turn around. Uribe then would have had time to get a better angle and pump a fake. I think he hurried it a bit. But I don't hold it against him. He has been defensively superb.
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:09 PM) Who gives a flying f***. Did I mention they are making me sick? I am going to have to live with a 10 second delay on a small TV. Still the better option.
  5. Is it just me or do the Fox announcers desperately want the Astros to win? They are making me sick.
  6. What happens if a player comes up lame during the playoffs - can he be replaced by someone else (i.e. El Duque pitches for a couple of innings and his shoulder tightens up).
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) What can I say that hasn't been said? For 40+ years I've been a die hard fan of this team. Every spring I was filled with hope. I remember losing to Yanks in '64 by 1 game. I remember the collapse against the Senators and the A's in '67. I distinctly remembering that we lost to a rookie named Blue Moon Odom! Damn, that sucked. I remember the excitement generated by Bill Veeck's Southside Hit Men in '77, only to have reality rear it's ugly head once again. I remember Britt Burns pitching his ass off, only to have Jerry Dubzinski screw up at second base in '83. I remember losing to Jays in'93 and losing the opportunity in '94. I remember hoping beyond hope that our shell of a pitching staff could pull of a miracle in '00. I'll always remember the '05 Sox. Finally, after all these years, I'll get to see MY White Sox in the World Series! I cannot put into words how I feel right now. My father called me after the last out ... He put me on speaker phone so my mother and sister could hear the conversation. I have to tell you, folks. During that conversation, I'm bawling! I'm still at a loss for words about this. Just the most totally awesome feeling I have ever experienced short of watching my sons being born. They last clinched the pennant on my 8th birthday. And every year since, I too have felt that given a slight break, or celestial nudge, here or there, that the World Series was within reach. I have actually never met a White Sox fan face to face. Except for my father. And truth be known, he would have described himself more of a Yankee hater than a Sox diehard. His love for the little guy and the Go Go White Sox and his abhorrence of the Evil Empire branded me for life. So this has been a solitary quest for me. And I have always loved baseball more than any other sport. By far. It is with these thoughts in mind, that I salute the 2005 White Sox, this wonderful website, and it's many zealous fans, as it has allowed me to share my thoughts on a lifelong, passionate dream with so many kindred spirits. Now .......... let's rip the inferior, so-called senior league. HELL YEAH!!!
  8. He's taking us where no one else could. And he also provided us with more entertainment than anyone else while doing it. Hail to the Ozzeroo!!!!
  9. I've been cheering these guys since 1960. And all I can say is that the further this goes, the more stunned I feel. It's like waking up and seeing the sun rise in the west .... being taunted by a girl scout ...... being offered assistance by the neighbourhood thugs ..... having my wife suggest I set aside the lawn mower and go shoot a game of golf. Last night I found my eyes glazing over when Paulie stepped up to the plate in the 1st, as I had the thought that it was time for a 3 run homer. I didn't even yell when he did it. All that's missing is Rod Serling .... on my couch .... offering me a bowl of popcorn.
  10. QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) Nice Frank Thomas pic Thanks - I took that on Frank's visit to the Great White North.
  11. I like the quote from ShaneTrot: 'Now, I am going to have to actually work, play with my kids, and talk to my wife. Say it ain't so!'
  12. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) You could see Garcia was gassed in the 5th inning. He had no business being out there in the 6th at all. If the Red Sox were able to get the White Sox out in the top of the 6th in less than 1/2 hour Garcia might have been alright for the bottom of the 6th. It was like he was coming out to the mound, after a rain delay, with only 1 decent inning left in his tank.
  13. The 2005 magic continues. I yelled so loud on the final out that my cat ran into a wall trying to escape.
  14. What a determined look Kong had on that play. Man does he want it!!!
  15. Now.................................................let's completely break their spirit with a crooked number.
  16. Their big boys are up next inning - we could use another one or two here.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Comeon, get the next. How about 2 for the price of 1.
  18. Just get us through this inning and we can give them the Politte, Cotts, Hermy and Jenks combo.
  19. QUOTE(bulokis @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 06:17 PM) Man Berman s*** his pants on that Uribe's strike out. Double stainage with the Ramirez blast.
