  1. High pitch with not too much on it.
  2. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 06:02 PM) A.J. walks, what a great at-bat for him. New pitcher, all Francona's pitching changes fail. The rook is coming in, please Crede don't swing until you got 1 strike. Ditto. Patience Joe ......... patience.
  3. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:41 PM) Is Garcia sucking that bad? Is it the umps? Is it a combo of the two? He has given up 2 runs to the Red Sox in 5 innings in Fenway - not what I would call 'that bad'. He has missed a ton of called stikes by a hair. He is not giving in.
  4. Berman complimented Pierz on 'again moving the runner over to third' ..... only this time he became the second out.
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) Keep rooting for the Red Sox, Berman. "OH MY GOODNESS!" No kidding - need a run to curb his enthusiasm. :puke
  6. Would like to see Fredie throw over to first a bit more.

I remember when Hoyt Wilhelm used to pitch for Chicago. The announcers used to claim that he was most unhittable if the wind was blowing from home plate directly to the mound. This would make his pitches dance the maximum amount. The weather report says that Friday the wind will be coming from the south at 17 mph. However, I don't know the location of home plate, in reference to the mound at Fenway.
  8. Time for a Kong bong!!
  9. Gotta be uncle charlie here>
  10. He's overthrowing a bit
  11. I trust Ozzie - he has made good decisions all year, despite the apoplectic fits he has created all year on this site.
  12. Beautiful - now let's go get more. I feel greedy.
  13. Boy do we ever need Mark to throw up a goosegg this inning.
  14. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 5, 2005 -> 08:39 PM) Only Gooch's second homerun to left field this season. Surely you jest.
  15. My father, who passed away 5 years ago, was the driving force behind my White Sox obsession. More than anything, I think he was a Yankee hater and the Sox of 1960 presented the best shot at besting them. I still remember sitting in a cottage in northern Ontario, that summer, listening to a transistor radio, fading in and out, as the Sox played the Yankees. For 3 straight nights we listened and played cribbage. I'll never forget how magical it felt to be listening to a Sox game, live, from so far away. While feeling so close to my father.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 25, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) The good news...K.C. doesn't have to pitch to Hafner or Martinez this inning. The bad news is they won't have to. 2 on nobody out. :headshake
  17. 3 outs to a KC victory - somebody pinch me.
  18. Just 2 innings of competent relief - doesn't seem to be too much to ask.
