  1. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Even if Frank gets healthy we better upgrade one other position offensively. I would have to say 3B if Crede shows his earlier streak was a fluke Joe is pushing .300 now, with stellar defense.
  2. On a lighter note, Santana has got beyoned the 3rd with the lead. He is, predictably, starting to heat it up. :headshake
  3. I had to go with Pods. Mostly because he represents what has been missing from this club for so long. Maybe forever. And that is of course - speed. Fantastic speed. Speed so good, you can pitch out and still not get him. Or pick him off first and he is still standing on second. As much as I hated Rickie Henderson, because he was such an egotistical jerk, he used to control a game with his legs. AJP would be a very close second because his type of attitude has also been greatly lacking.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 7, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) If the Sox sweep tomorrow, the Blue Jays will be at .500. You just know that Mariotti will complain that we're only beating bad/mediocre teams, while ignoring the fact that the Sox are a big reason some teams aren't doing so well. The Blue Jay announcers, yesterday, said the same thing about the Sox. They were pumping up their own record, because it had been established against the 'tough east'. A sweep would sure be sweet.
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Thanks man. I try and have something to say when I have something to say. Smarter than your average Berra.
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) Well, how about that s***. Thank you, sir. And none of it spam quality. Congrats.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) Cotts had a very good outing. I'm very glad to see that. He sure looked strong. It was like they had trouble seeing the ball out of his hand.
  8. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) He's hit two rockets right at people today. Give the guy a break. It looked like he made up his mind he was going the other way again. He just forced one that he should have taken.
  9. Maybe Ozzie should let Neal go until they get a baserunner.
  10. Wow. Did Koskie ever looked overmatched on that last pitch.
  11. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) That's part of the maturing process. He'll learn how not to ease up with a big lead. Jon's on his way to becoming a stud. I'll second that. He just lost his focus a bit and left a few pitches up. I'm not worried.
  12. QUOTE(qwerty @ May 7, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) 10-6 russ adams home run. Rats - 2 inches too far.
  13. Well, on a positive note, if they are going to squirm and fight like this, Pods might give it a go for his 5th stolen base.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) Uh oh. Cmon Jon, just settle down. Time for a double play.
  15. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) What's cool about this is that nobody is actually doing play by play. Just a few guys talking as the game goes on. Can I get ya a cold one?
  16. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Another hang wif 'em for Crede. And both times going the other way. Keep it up Joe. Don't get discouraged.
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) Could you explain what happened? I can't wait until I can actually watch some games and not have to use gameday. He was playing the hitter up the middle and had to range to his left to field a ground ball. Rather than try to make a difficult force play back at second, he made the correct, split second decisison to take the sure out at first - with the score what it is.
  18. I don't think we are going to see Pods try for a fifth.
  19. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) No clue but this is a joy to watch. I think if he gets one more, he has the Sox record.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 7, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) 4th Stolen base. Carl Walks. Ha Ha - this is what I wanted Raines to be like when we picked him up.
