I am in favor of bows and arrows for all civilians
-
QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:51 AM) um yeah... where were we? Reddy thinks gun control = good Others think makes civilians less safe think that about sums it up. I am on the fence. But I tend to lean it makes people safer.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:39 AM) If we want a gun debate, let's start a separate thread. I was just about to say sorry for hijacking the thread. Didnt mean to get so far off course.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:33 AM) if everyone had a gun there would be eternal paranoia. not something i'm too fond of. I meant to point that out as well. I would feel LESS safe if I knew the 10 people around me at the mall had a gun.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:21 AM) It's not about God. Sometimes people who are brought up in insanely religious families go apesh*t as well. Personally, it's situations like this that make me wonder why so many people are against stricter firearm regulations. i fully support hunters rights, but why do we need handguns and automatic weapons? both were ONLY designed to kill PEOPLE. There is NO reason an average civilian should need or have either. I easily see two sides to this... 1) If everyone had a gun, there could be less risk of violence because of fear of being shot back at. 2) If guns were banned to only "hunting" for civilians and handguns for law enforcement, there would be less fo a chance for guns to be grabbed by gang members and such. I dunno where I stand to be honest. I am really torn. In a case like this where it was basically a suicide gunning, even if every student had a gun he still would have killed some people. I dont like guns. I never have, I never will. They scare the $H1T out of me.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:22 AM) oh yeah, of course they'll use dirty tactics to win an election - race being one of them - but to say they'd have him assassinated is asinine. agreed. I would go a little further and with all the deep south racists, I would say Obama runs a substantial RISK of an assassination attempt. But not by the Clintons.
-
QUOTE(Reddy @ Feb 15, 2008 -> 10:14 AM) I guarantee you that no one in the Hillary camp feels that way. Since when is Hillary Clinton a racist? I have no believe any of the Clintons are racist. I agree with you on that point. HOWEVER, I dont think they are above using race to try and gain an edge. See, South Carolina. It backfired, but they tried it.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 04:36 PM) Oh I get it. Only caucuses she wins matter. The other ones are not a true representation of the voters of that particular state. GMAFB If you saw my post earlier, only states she wins (except Illinois) are significant.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 04:26 PM) This state does not matter...according to the Clintons' take on caucuses. But I'm sure she will tell us what a great win this was. She already did... http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=5988

PS: Thumbs up to CNN for covering the shooting. Thumbs down to MSNBC for burring their head in the sand and going Obama / CLinton wall to wall.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 03:54 PM) WTF is wrong with people? I was thinking while driving home from work a few minutes ago, it's one of those things where they come in bunches. One instance and it's random. But that gives the next more "courage" to go with their plan. 2 leads to 3. 3 leads to 4. Ect...

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 03:53 PM) CNN reporting up to 15 injured WGN said the same.

Everything You've Ever Wanted To Know About Delegates And Superdelegates
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 14, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) It is making the electoral college look better. But honestly, I'm hoping for a floor fight, a 10 rounded. Lots of speeches and ballots. I should add to tall this that I think i heard a few nights ago that they can vote to NOT count superdelegates at the convention. So, theoretically, if Obama has a significant enough lead and Hillary is trying to steal it, they could vote the Supers to not count.
