QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) My mother, who, as far as I know, has always voted for the Dem nominee for every race, has told me that if Hill wins she'll vote for Bloomberg, if he runs. That's how pissed she is at Billary. Where can I find info on where Bloomburg stands on the issues? -
QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 09:31 PM) Wow guys keep your pants on. note my message previous to yours. I did some rethinking while on the john.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) If Edwards drops out and endorses Clinton, Obama is done. If he drops out and doesn't endorse, then Obama's chances get worse, but not gone (since I think he'll get the balance of Edwards backers). But if Edwards endorses Obama and campaigns for him, then suddenly its a basically dead even race. YOu beat me to it. I am going to assume Edwards will endorse Obama for the sake of this argument... Edwards drops out and Endorses Obama. Not only does he endorse him, he campaigns on his behalf with Obama's money. This does two things. It draws Edwards supporters to Obama, and it keeps Edwards in the spotlight. So, if people vote for him even after he drops out, they can be "moved" to Obama at the convention.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 09:15 PM) my gut is that it's a drop out speech. he started his campaign in New Orleans, only fitting to end it there as well. ahhh good call. yea, he's done.. and so is Obama. Obama needed edwards to draw votes from hillary.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 08:51 PM) In a politically irrelevant state (for primary purposes) where basically Clinton violated the rules to get that. I wouldnt go THAT far. but i think it is more name recognition than anything else. Past states and some of the SDOGPEIT states have proven that Hillary normally has a HUGE lead until Obama starts campaigning.... then either she drops, or he rises. Maybe not enough to WIN a state, but enough to make it close enough to keep the delegate count close. I dont think Obama will win either NY or CA, but he'll keep it close enough to marginalize her victories. Enough to keep it to where Edwards is the kingpin and crowns Obama the nominee.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 08:50 PM) So Romney's basically done now? Good Lord no. He's got more money than anyone and McCain is ULTRA short on money. Romney will run this to the end and probably win. -
Interesting note: MSNBC isnt even running the Democratic results on the bottom of their screen (unlike CNN and Fox News). I love MSNBC, but I can tell when they are trying to actively kill a story (like Hillary winning) and they are leaning very Pro-Obama. I base the Pro-Obama idea on m having watched them over the past 2+ weeks.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) Well if I'm thinking about this right, Obama didn't even receive that many less votes than Hillary in Florida, so if the votes are eventually transformed into delegates it won't be a major shift anyways. I believe Florida has 210 delegates on the Democratic side. So, it would probably break down: 105-Clintons, 67-Obama, 32-Edwards 7-Unknown So, with FL counted... the TOTAL count to date would be 153-Clinton 130-Obama 58-Edwards

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 08:40 PM) Like I said in the FL thread, Obama needs to go right after her on this. No nice guy stuff. in all fairness, the bottom of the article says some obama unions did some campaigning. but I am sure not on the scale this woman did.
-
Now THIS is how you marginalize a Hillary victory in FL... Not that she won... just that she simply got the most votes.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 08:26 PM) At least out here, you have to re-register to vote every time you move. thanks. actually, just found my own answer.. http://www.elections.il.gov/VotingInformation/Register.aspx

Giuliana just said he ran an "uplifiting campaign". Based on what? Scaring the $h1t out of old people by making them think they are moments from dying in a terror attack?
-
Quick question: My wife last voted in 2004 and has since moved since we got married in 2005. My question i, when she changed her drivers license, does that change her voter registration location, or does she have to file a change of address?

I checked out Ron Paul. FOund out he was a bit of a nut job... moved on.

Hillary ACTIVELY Campaigning in FL/ Robocalls via Surrogate

hmmm... interesting point brought up by Fox News of all places (these numbers arent exact): With those who made their decision over 2+ weeks ago: 54% for Hillary. With those who decided in the last 3 days: 37% Hillary, 33% Obama, 30% Edwards (not 100% sure on those numbers) But basically she lost nealy 17% of the vote of those who decided recently. interesting fact.

I am really curious as to what the vote differential will be in Early voting vs Day-of-Voting.

QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 07:11 PM) Rasmussen shows a tie in CT between Obama and Hillary. In 10 days.. Obama gained 13 points. DAMN!

QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 01:59 PM) Although, a good example for a research methods class. But, would probably result in them staring at my boobs. Hm, no win. How do i get into that class? just kidding!

QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 01:59 PM) Poor methods. How many 300 pound women have A cups? How many have C or greater? Probably a greater proportion than healthy weight women with (natural) C or greater cups. my wife... 230 lbs - 48G

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) Concerning Illinois...I find it interesting that the candidate actually FROM Illinois is getting trounced by the candidate that is a Senator from Illinois but born in Hawaii. Guess that just goes to show you that Midwesterners don't like deserters! Barack is more of an Illinoisan than hillary ever was. She's a carpet bagger. Went to Littel Rock, became a southerner. Moved to NY and became a Yankees fan.

A nice and FAIR piece on the Rezko land deal...
