  1. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 24, 2008 -> 10:09 AM) Her attacking ANYONE for who they do business with it has got to take the biggest set of balls on the planet. This is woman whose experience consists of her husband (which supposedly by association means she did too if you listen to her on the good stuff) being associated with insider trading, illegal fundraising, pardons for donations, etc. After she drags Antoin Rezko into this, we need to start hearing names like Mark Rich, Hsu, Wang Jun, James Blair, etc. The problem is you cant directly attack HER on a lot of this stuff. It's her husband. Yes, I agree it is 100% guilt by association , but she'll spin it that "well, it wasn't me and I am the one running for president". She'll get her zing at Obama, she'll come out looking clean and the media will drop it.
  2. uh oh! The Clintons and Carl Rove... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7081401722.html
  3. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jan 24, 2008 -> 08:52 AM) Also, Clinton attacked Obama for defending that "slumlord." Heard some clarification on NPR last night. Turns out he billed 5 hours of work to a community group that was working with the "slumlord's" group. Is that the best she can come up with? There were reports several months ago he people were going around Chicago trying to dig up anything and everything they could. They needed the dirt... no matter how small it is. If the best they could find was he had his 15 year old dog put to sleep, they'd have portrayed him as cruel to animals and sicked PETA after him. (That is not a true story, just an example)
  4. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 23, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) This is the Clintons using one of the GOP's favorite marketing plays. Its right out of their handbook. Its the same reason you hear BushCo use the word "freedom" so often. Psychologists call it projection - putting your own weaknesses onto someone else. That's what I have been saying. She likes to project her weaknesses on Obama. She attack HIS record, when HERS is far worse. She attacks him, then claims "oh, he's frustrated and wants a fight". No, YOU are frustrated because he is a pest to your belief you deserve the White House. So YOU are starting a fight.
  5. Guess who's up to the same ol' $h1t again?? Clinton goes after Obama's Republican comments in radio ad
  6. Chicago Tribune Calls Out The Clintons: Clintons are lying about Obama's remarks
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 07:47 PM) So Hillary's lead in CA is down a bit, but not much. But that 20% undecided is interesting. I wonder how SC and the press with it will effect that 20%. Or the debates in CA coming up later this month. Winning SC is a "publicity momentum" boost for Obama. THat paired with a good debate COULD give Obama a slight boost to at least keep it real close.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) Clinton needs to make a big mistake for it to matter, IMO. Like blaming all the wars in the world on the Jews, or something like that. what is it with you and the jews?
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 07:42 PM) And, I got a note from JFKerry - going after Clinton's tactics... I know expect Kerry to be the Obama attack dog now. He'll take on Clinton... Bill that is.
  10. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 07:42 PM) And, I got a note from JFKerry - going after Clinton's tactics... You beat me to it! I just got it as well.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 06:47 PM) The other question is...should a former President carry himself with more dignity than to join in a campaign as an attack dog, regardless of whether or not one of his family members is running. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I certainly don't recall 41 going out on the campaign trail and joining in the "McCain has an illegitimate black daughter" stuff from 00. You are right. That is why many people are calling him and telling him to hush up. He is acting like a child. Lincoln mist be rolling over in his grave.
  12. I dont know where I stand on this. I know personally I was willing to vote for Hillary if she won the nomination, but now that he is involved and really acting like a royal ass... spreading distortions and falsehoods. I will absolutely NEVER vote for Hilary now. She and her husband have lost me. If you want to know where I stand, read my post in the DEM Primaries thread.
  13. Man, that really sucks. My wife absolutely LOVES "A Knights Tale" and she introduced me to his work through that movie. He was a great actor. I am really looking forward to seeing him in The Dark Knight. It's especially sad if it is accidental. It's one thing to end your life purposefully, it a whole other thing to think you are taking a nap and then wake up on the other side of life.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) Which one? Like or dislike? This was from late December... http://www.iwf.org/iwfmedia/show/19981.html
  15. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) Clinton looked the worst, and the audience reactions made that clear. Clinton is probably going to get hammered in SC, which means Obama will have a lead in earned delegates, and big mo going into Super Tuesday. Edwards will probably take some votes away from both as well, and make it clear he is still part of the race - all the better for Obama's hopes to stay in it. I coudn't really tell if they were booing her or him. and I wasnt sure if a couple of those were boos or "ooooo"s. I THOUGHT they were booing here, but i thought maybe that was wishful thinking.
  16. Clinton says Obama 'looking for a fight' Wait? OBAMA is the one looking for a fight? If I remember right, the Clinton's started it with this whole Regan thiung and casually dropping the "drug us stuff".
  17. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jan 22, 2008 -> 11:46 AM) Watched the CNN debate last night. Hillary Clinton really bothers me. read my previous post. it pretty much sums up my opinions on her.
  18. Ok, I just want over the edge. I have now 100% contempt for Hillary (oh and her running mate Bill too). She just called a press conference to play victim of last nights debate. She says Obama came with "clearly rehearsed lines". She claimed Obama was "confused" and was saying she was the one attacking him about his Reagan comments even though it was Bill. Hillary, you cant pull this "good cop, bad cop" crap. He is part of your campaign and your biggest supporter. What he says... you are saying. He lied... therefor you lied. If you REALLY wanted him to be nice, you could, but you don't want to. He does all the dirty work while you call press conferences to be clean and nice and "above the fray". you are not above the fray, you ARE the fray. She said he is frustrated. Of course he is! I'd be pretty pissed off if an opponent was spreading out right lies about me. Go to hell Hillary. I was willing to vote for you until yesterday and today threw me over the edge. I hate you. I hate your campaign. and i hope Obama drills you into the ground. You DESERVE to lose the election. You are not worthy to be president of the united states. your lies and distortion are NO different that what the Bush administration has been doing for the past 7 years. You, Hillary, are a disgrace.
  19. Clinton: "You never take responsibility for your votes" hmmm.... sounds like a little bit of projection if you ask me. it's Obama who defends all his votes and stances, it's Clinton who likes to deflect and ignore.
  20. Edwards and Clinton held a secret meeting after the debate.
  21. ABC News called out the Clinton's on their blatantly false Obama attacks.
  22. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 11:01 PM) You do realize that Obama is a part of the acting, right? OF COURSE he's going to "put up a fight". He has to, because then Hillarity is EVEN MORE of a "good candidate" against the EVVVVVVVVVVVVVILLLLLLLLLLLLLL "right wing conspiracy"... she'll be "battle tested" and "ready for the real fight". Watch... this is how the media will portray it. Talk about battle tested.. if Obama gets through this and WINS he can take on anything the Republicans will throw at him. The CLintons are JUST as bad as the republicans at dirty politics.
  23. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 10:52 PM) Like I have been saying for months, hell, almost years, the Clinton Spin Machine is now in full gear. Lies? Distoritions? Inaccuracies? Who cares. It works. Get it through your thick heads, people, we have the Clintons back in the White House exactly one year from today. Obama wont let them win without a fight. Most would curl up. Obama is proud, stands by his record and is ready to defend any attacks. CLintons have faced someone like this in a while.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 09:05 PM) Only reading, but it sounds from the commentary like Obama is taking a beating from both of them tonight and is on the defensive. He really needed a big win in this one tonight and it doesn't sound like he's going to get it. In other words, once again, it's over. Oh I think he came out and put Hillary in her place. She was trying so hard to beat him down, but he caller her and her husband ton what they are saying. i LOVED the comment where Obama said he didn't know which of them he was running against.
  25. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jan 21, 2008 -> 09:01 PM) obama isnt looking to hot right now. i'd say edwards is staying above the fray is a smart move He needs to defend himself. THe Clinton's are on full assault mode and CLEARLY going out of their way to spread falsehoods and twists. He needs to stand up and say "hey, you arent telling the truth. Play fair."
