  1. Maxine Waters of CA to endorse Clinton (Hillary I assume). And the world yawns.
  2. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 10:06 AM) In the past week, the Writers and Producer have agreed on little things. Hopefully it breaks through in the next week or so and they get going. it has to be over by the Oscars. And the union will strike through the Oscars. So, the companies are going to have to bend.
  3. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 10:28 AM) Here's a little prediction. If Obama wins this thing, and if Edwards isn't his AG (maybe he's HHS or something)... I'd bet that Lisa Madigan becomes the US AG under Obama. oooo... VERY interesting! That is thinking outside the box.

  5. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 09:59 AM) Great. They were already drawing out the remaining episodes into three seasons, resulting in 8 month gaps between new episodes. Now it'll most likely be split up more. not that they want it that way though. It's kind of out of their control. My guess is that they will run a 24 episode season next year.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 29, 2008 -> 08:00 AM) Last I heard about 8 of the 16 episodes were complete. I never have heard officially if that is true or not. It is true. they left the 8th episode with a huge cliff hanger. So, if the writers dont end their strike within the next 2 weeks they can "end" the season and pick up next year. How ever, if the strike ends soon, I think they will go into rush mode and try to ramp up production ASAP. After the 8th episode, take a few weeks off, then start the next 8.
  7. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 28, 2008 -> 06:00 PM) Its possible of course. But here is the thing. I'd contend that it is better for Obama to have Edwards stay in the race through Super Tuesday - he is taking away some of Clinton's votes I think. Then after SDOGPEIT, when Clinton will probably have a narrow lead, Edwards can take all those delegates and support and throw them to Obama (we can only hope). That could be the difference maker. If Edwards were to drop out and endorse Obama right now, some of those Edwardians would go to Clinton, and Obama wouldn't have the benefits of those delegates at convention. I dont doubt that at all. At first I wanted Edwards to get out because I thought he was running a pointless campaign because he stood no chance against th ebig two. However, he really should push on. As an Obama supporter, it helps him for Edwards to stay in as you said. Edwards knows EXACTLY what he is doing.
  8. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 28, 2008 -> 05:21 PM) Because nothing says credibility to me, especially when talking about Democratic politics, more than Robert Novak appearing on Cavuto's show on Fox News. Yeah, that just screams "high level sources inside the Democratic party". I dont think he is the only one saying it. That is just the one video source I could find. On the record... I dont trust Fox News. It was just the only video I could find.
  9. Momentum is gaining that Edwards will be named Attorney General by Obama... Novak: Edwards Working With Obama Uploaded by dollarsandsense123
  10. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 28, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) There's a topless Britney video on Youtube? It's WAY over rated. She's working on a dance routine when she goes to change into a shirt and her right boobs shows for like 1 second.
  11. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jan 28, 2008 -> 12:14 PM) He sounds a little like him, I wouldn't go as far as a lot. oh I thought I heard a lot of his inflections and pacing.
  12. I've never heard Teddy Kennedy talk before. he sounds a LOT like his brother John.
  13. QUOTE(knightni @ Jan 27, 2008 -> 06:41 PM) I'm guessing Seh - BELL - ee - us thanks
  14. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 27, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) Obama/Sebelius does have a nice ring to it. How do you pronounce her last name?
  15. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Jan 27, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) Obama/Sebelius does have a nice ring to it. Imagine Obama snubbing a woman who is running (Hillary) in favor of a different woman. She'd be PISSED!
  16. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 27, 2008 -> 03:14 PM) They're really coming out of the woodworks now. and they will keep coming out. I think the Clintons REALLY pissed off a lot of the democratic leadership with thier raceist stunts. They are out to get them now.
  17. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jan 27, 2008 -> 08:11 AM) She's a carpetbagger. A Yankee fan now. Obama has always claimed his allegiance with the White Sox. Exactly. She'll flip her fandum to whatever suites her political needs.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 26, 2008 -> 07:05 PM) Bill gets asked a question not remotely relating to race, or even South Carolina. Bill's immediate response..."Jesse Jackson won South Carolina twice". Are you freaking kidding me? My God! What a world class a$$hole. seriously.
  19. Look who's at it again... Hillary just stood on stage in Tenn. and said "look at this broad cross section of people". What a subtle jab at Obama. She is already trying to marginalize his victory. Basically saying "well, it's the blacks, but look at all the people that support me".
  20. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 06:35 PM) Is the end logo for EnAble going to be in Braille-o-vision? Cuz otherwise, they won't know. umm.... deaf people can still see and read.
  21. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 11:53 AM) Just saw on MSNBC that the Clinton campaign is trying to start a movement to count the Florida delegates. This is in direct opposition to the rules layed out by the DNC and a pledge she herself made. Now she is trying to pin Edwards and Obama into support the movement. Why does she want them to count? Well, no one has campaigned there... she is winning by a lot... so she wants the delegates! What a sleaze bag! Linky Linky
  22. looks like it's the facade, apparently isnt in the rooms. Edit: It appears that it has indeed spread and gone down a few floors. Probably an internal fire now as well.
  23. QUOTE(shipps @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 12:53 PM) http://www.nbc5.com/news/15135528/detail.html?dl=mainclick oh no! so sad.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 25, 2008 -> 12:26 PM) Yeah, you'd think that finishing 2nd in Iowa would certainly have garnered him more coverage pre-N.H. than what he actually got. That analysis I posted a few pages ago suggests that he was basically at the Ron Paul level of invisibility in the press before NH IIRC. The "talking points" in the media following iowa were... 1) Obama's big upset... a bounce into NH? 2) Hillary's fall into 3rd.... how could she fall so far? 3) Clinton Cries... They apparently didnt realize that when one finishes first and one finishes 3rd... there's still someone in between! I 100% agree that Edwards has not been given a fair deal in the media.
