  1. Great win! They really needed it after failing to get guys in so much in the loss last night.
  2. I updated the title and first post.
  3. Sale might get a few innings in today as well. There could be some AAA transactions tonight for sure.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 04:49 PM) Presumably this is going to lead to Pena being recalled, but this is a terrible day for this to happen, 16 hours after inning 14 ended. Yeah. Is Lillibridge pitching today?
  5. Good thing that they have the 6 man rotaton.
  6. QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 04:33 AM) Madison Bumgardner Josh Hamilton Daniel Hudson (or do I just like being right?) Really?
  7. Past jerseys http://www.americanmemorabilia.com/pics/10866_01_lg.jpg http://tmp.kiwix.org:4201/I/200px_Ken_Griffey_Jr_2004.jpg http://www.sportsblink.com/product_images/...sey-3119321.jpg http://www.sportsblink.com/product_images/...sey-3134917.jpg
  8. You only did it half way. You have to use the properties of the attachment and display it as a separate set of pics.
  9. He was a very good shooter in Europe and had at least 5 good seasons shooting the ball with FG and 3 pt %. How many 7 foot tall guys could say that pre-Dirk?
  10. He had an international 3 pointer that was inside the NBA 3 point line, so it took him a few seasons to get used to the NBA's.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:39 PM) If Ozzie won't bench Pierre, he should be open to bringing up Viciedo to DH for 2 weeks while they're evaluating Dunn and then maybe he can replace Juan in LF if he stays hot and Juan continues on his current "pace." That's a great idea. DL Dunn. Start Lilli in LF, Viciedo in RF, CQ DH. Float Pierre in there at LF/DH and see how it goes.
  12. It's at this point that Pierre should be pinch hit for.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:35 PM) Does extended spring training still exist at this point in June? Aren't all of the players out of the complex now to the short-season teams? Well, there's gotta be an instructional guy who can come to Chicago for him, then. What's Tom Emanski doing these days?
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 09:31 PM) I don't think you can, not for more than a couple games, at least not without a dl stint. If they can make it happen, a DL stint might be a good idea. Get a physical and psychological exam. Get an eye exam and get him in extended spring training working on his swing.
  15. I'd hope that he'd get pinch hit for in late innings at least.
  16. You can say that stuff sucks. You just can't go on and on about it while going to extremes.
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:02 PM) Those comparing Mirotic to Kukoc are extremely mistaken and simply making the comparison based on his height and location of the world he comes from. His game is much more comparable to Bargnani. Kukoc didn't have nearly the outside jumper that Mirotic has. He's a legit 6'10 and has room to grow in his frame. Unlike a lot of international players who get drafted, this guy actually plays quality minutes and is insanely efficient. I asked if he was similar to Kukoc. No one answered. I was not trying to compare him to Kukoc; but, they do have similar body size and outside games. Kukoc had a very good outside jumper.
  18. It's all about the big picture. Hall of Famers failed 7 out of 10 times at the plate and World Series winning teams lose 40% of their games. You just can't let stuff get to you or you'll go crazy.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:54 PM) I know that. That's kinda my point. Even if I legitimately tried to be positive nobody would buy it. Yes, but you're not legitimately trying to be positive. You're overdoing it to make a point that honestly, is not really helping.
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) Juan Pierre is a baseball player that I do not enjoy watching play the sport. Oh Reginald... I disagree! /car peels out
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) That was in the minor league program though. The tests there don't count against the major league program as far as I know. Another loophole by the players union, I'm sure.
