  1. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jul 9, 2011 -> 12:19 AM) refresh my memory...who's in the wings? Escobar and Saladino? Escobar should be ready by 2013. He's great defensively, but he'd be a #9 hitter. .250 2 HR 40 RBI 5 SB
  2. Lillibridge and a free agent MI could fill in okay for 2012. Defense wouldn't be as good but the return from Alexei would really boost the quality of the minors.
  3. Trading Ramirez at 30 years old isn't the worst idea. He'd bring a lot.
  4. How many are jumping with him? Can the site get a group discount?
  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 09:30 PM) She doesn't even drink anymore, but was persuaded by my buddy because it was a "special occasion", I wouldn't consider my buddy and I "random" dudes, she wasn't really "naked" per say as she had panties on and a shirt around her neck, and yeah, and she did grab his dick to try and get him to let go of her. I've taken money out of my mom's coin purse before, so does that make me a thief now? Yes. A petty one, but a thief nonetheless.
  6. Former first lady Betty Ford.
  7. QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) Blackburn sucks. I'm glad we're finally having a game that supports that concept. The last time he faced the Sox (6/16), he almost no-hit them.
  8. If he improves even by 25% you can see .200 20 HR 80 RBI this year. Not great, but comparitive to his first few years in the majors.
  9. Asdrubal Cabrera .291 BA 14 HR 50 RBI 12 SB 102 H 55 R .343 OBP .491 SLG Jhonny Peralta .310 BA 14 HR 49 RBI 89 H 39 R .362 OBP .530 SLG JJ Hardy .289 BA 13 HR 33 RBI 34 R 65 H .348 OBP .530 SLG Alexei Ramirez .270 BA 8 HR 38 RBI 3 SB 50 R 91 H .329 OBP .407 SLG Yunel Escobar .294 BA 9 HR 30 RBI 3 SB 46 R 90 H .370 OBP .444 SLG Elvis Andrus .278 BA 3 HR 31 RBI 25 SB 54 R 89 H .330 OBP .347 SLG
  10. I'd shop Edwin Jackson at the deadline if Peavy/Danks etc are healthy. I'd get as much as humanly possible.

    2011 TV Thread

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 07:17 PM) Jeremy! Jason Alexander is on tonight! That episode was pretty great!
  12. Former MLB manager Dick Williams.
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 01:25 AM) Hamilton can now add manslaughter to his terrific resume I'd think that the legalese on the backs of the tickets would be enough to avoid criminal charges. I'm not sure about civil court, though.
  14. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 12:24 AM) 2.) Wow. Are you married? Close to being engaged? You said you've been together a long long time. In my experience, people that date a long long time ultimately "tire of each other" a bit if they do not take the next exciting step (engagement, marriage, kids). I don't know how old you are and all that, if you are in the working world or in college. The "lack of respect" thing bothers me. Is she tiring of you? Are you tiring of her? You said at most times you "love being in the relationship." If that is still the case, then perhaps she is your future wife. If you love being with her "most" of the time, that's good. If not, if you are annoyed by her and feel "no respect" you may need to tell her you'd like to see other people. That can really change her attitude in a hurry. Or she'll agree and you'll know she is sick of the relationship. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 12:33 AM) How long. Provide a little more details as to how it costs more and how you get invested? Has it been off and on? My relationship is with The Chicago White Sox. She's a cruel mistress.
  15. QUOTE (soxfan72 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 12:15 AM) Sorry, guess I should be ok with being called a "deep newbie" even though I've been here 3 years longer than the poster who made that insult and crapped all over this thread. Just wonderful. Unless you quoted the wrong poster, I don't read any of that in Caulfield's post. He is right you know. It is nearly impossible to dump those salaries without divesting the minors and sending big piles of cash..
  16. Geez, Hamilton will have this on his conscience now.
  17. QUOTE (soxfan72 @ Jul 8, 2011 -> 12:01 AM) The FAIL is strong with this post. Been a Sox fan for 38 years pal. As far as the Tea Party is concerned, not interested in your libtard comments either. Have a nice day. Back it down and stop the insults.
  18. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 04:11 PM) Get to the playoffs. Win 11 games. It doesn't have to be a perfect season fellas. /Insert played-out 2006 Cards reference here.
  19. I'm in a relationship. I've been in it since I was much younger. I love being in the relationship most times, but sometimes it's really tough to stay in love. There seems to be a lack of communication and respect. Every year it seems to costs me more and more money to go out and spend time in this relationship. Lately, everytime I get invested, it seems I am disappointed and feel like my heart has been ripped out. What to do?
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 06:58 PM) Last year was Swisher. Has Jeter EVER been in the final vote? I remembered that it was Yankees players that beat out Sox guys. Maybe it was Swisher.
  21. Was it last year that Jeter was in the final vote, then?
  22. QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 06:34 PM) congrats to Sox fans for getting Paul Konerko into the All Star game. He should of been in without a vote Vote early and often!
