  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) So, you're saying, left, left, left, mighty blow, mighty blow, right hook, right hook and he's down for the count?
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) This thread is full of FAIL. In what way Internet Meme Man?
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) I'm really digging Pandora internet radio. It is pretty intuitive, but it gets repetitive if you don't remove songs from the playlist sometimes.

    QUOTE (NIUSox @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:18 PM) Watched a movie that I vaguely remember watching when I was a kid called 'The Final Countdown' starring Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen about an aircraft carrier that get sent back through time to the day before the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was a very interesting premise but I think it could have gone farther on the struggle in the movie of whether they should intervene in the attack that they know will happen or let history run its course. Overall though I liked it. I loved that movie.
  6. Pink's and Randy's Donuts, Flaxx.
  7. QUOTE (TitoMB @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:09 AM) What happened to DJ? Found it. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/articl...y-A7QAD9FL1K8O4
  8. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ May 12, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) The French dip origin is still up in the air. Cole's claims to have 8 years on Philippe's. May have to try both. Ans several of those bars are on the hit list. Not the she-she poser bars, but the serious cocktail destinations. When I saw "lounge lizard" in one of the descriptions I thought of you.
  9. QUOTE (SnB @ May 11, 2010 -> 05:17 PM) I really don't think basketball has anything to do with ND's decision. ND has one of the best all-around men's and women's athletic programs that aren't Big 10 or Pac-10. Almost every sports program that they have is in the top 25 every year. Football and baseball are about the only two to not hover around the top 25 consistently, and football has been around the top 25 on occasion.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 10, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) I got a callback on a D3 department head job today. Unfortunately they pay lower than squat. Gotta start somewhere!
  11. Kobe Bryant was a superior player at 25 than LeBron. so was MJ.
  12. Petersen Automotive Museum Philippe's (first french dip sandwich ever) Of course, http://www.worldsbestbars.com/city/los-angeles/index.htm
  13. I take that back. He's the best player under 30.
  14. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) or as my wife used to refer to him, "that guy who hits all the doubles" of anyone who's every donned the uni, least favorite, really? For me...Colon, Contreras, Marte, D. Wells, Timo, Wise, Mackowiak, Kotsay, and 1/2 that 2007 roster are up there higher than Valentin.
  15. I love Comcast's quality and speed, but they are too expensive.
  16. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ May 12, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) Does anyone posting in this thread not want LeBron on the Bulls? The guy is a showboating egomaniac. I would rather give it a shot with Bosh or Wade as they aren't so f***ing obnoxious. I wouldn't miss the inevitable, unending comparisons of Jordan-James either. Yes, there are others. I wouldn't dislike getting LeBron, but Wade is a better fit, IMO. James is a sore loser, a child and really obnoxious; he's also arguably the best player under 28 in this league.
  17. QUOTE (daa84 @ May 12, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) the silly little game on the fantasy guys was just an absolute waste of time...i understand what the directors were going for producing it, but it was just not entertaining, and frankly not worth watching It's impossible to make someone else's fantasy baseball team look exciting.
  18. Winner: Juan Pierre (6 points) - SoxAce.
  19. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ May 11, 2010 -> 11:04 AM) The Sun-Times suggests the Bears install Field Turf in Soldier Field. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/hayes/22537...-bear10.article Athomeboy cheers. I'll cheer too - when they actually do it. You'd think that it would be smart for team business for them to make sure that their players stay healthy and safe.
  20. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?g...8753&ref=ts This is a great place to meet the people who post on Soxtalk "in person." Got a question, ask us there! It's a good place for site information if (God forbid) the site here has issues. If you get some weird guy friending you, don't worry. It's only me. Happy Facebooking (SHIPPS excluded) and .
  21. If their definition of "hot" is popular, I can see it. Her and Russell Brand are about to break out as a celebrity couple in the U.S. I think that in the classic "hot" (i.e. fall all over yourself if you meet her because she's so gorgeous) definition doesn't apply here. She's cute but not hot. Amy Adams lite.
