QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 09:44 PM) I'll re-emphasize that it's just a rumor I heard, but I really wouldn't have a hard time believing it because it fits in with everything we've heard about him before, and why he is a failure in the NFL so far. He just doesn't take care of business. Physically, he's everything you could possibly want, it's in his head though. I searched Google regarding this. According to a Raiders fans website, this was reported on NFL Live back in July of '09 by Tim Hasselbeck.

Screw at-bat. I want this when I come in to close a game out:
-
Sounds to me like there are far too many trades of minor leaguers in the game.
-
Well, Pitt's down. WVU or Cin next.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 05:32 PM) Viewable, thanks sir. I'll start PM'ing people as to who got to me first. If more than 4 people PMed you, send the names back to me and I'll get them into League 3.

QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Mar 11, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) ND is playing much better, but in no way do I like their chances of beating those three teams in a row under any circumstances. Possible yes, but liking their odds to run the table I don't think so. Odds are about even up to get by Pitt, and stacked against them to survive past Pitt & W. Virginia. If they get that far to make it to the final they still would have to take out Marquette/G'town. Can't see how you would like thier odds, I would guess they would be at least 20 - 25 to 1 to make the final at this point.. They've already done something similar to that, though. http://www.ncaa.com/statistics/2009-2010/m...m-schedule.html 01/09/10 West Virginia W 70-68 02/24/10 Pittsburgh W 68-53 02/27/10 @Georgetown W 78-64 03/03/10 Connecticut W 58-50 03/06/10 @Marquette W 63-60 03/10/10 Seton Hall W 68-56

I'm liking ND's odds now. They play Pitt tonight - who they've beaten. They'd play WVU next - who they've beaten. Then, GTown - who they've beaten.

You're right. G'Town is giving 'cuse a game.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 10:39 PM) As long as everyone that's signed up for the league is cool with it, I'm gonna go ahead and give up the 4 open spots. Only question, how should teams be assigned? Well, I'm trying to fill Soxtalk 3, but if there's anyone from Soxtalk 1 or 2 that wants to be in a keeper league as well, you could ask Jordan4Life who to recommend.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 8, 2010 -> 02:11 PM) i'm shocked it took that thing so long to come out. You shouldn't be. Courtney Love held onto that stuff like Gollum.

Looks like they found Crosby's glove and stick from the Olympic Final. They were misplaced, not stolen.

I still have Triple Play 99.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 07:42 PM) Jeremy, you could not be more off. It's actually cool and fashionable to hate on Brian Urlacher and say he's been overrated, but just look at how the defense on the whole collapses without him in the lineup. He calls the defensive audibles, he takes away anything over the middle, and when healthy this season will prove how good he is again. I said that people in the media and many fans over hype him - he's not overrated. I think that he is a very good LB and one of the top 10-15 Bears defenders over the last 30 years. I don't believe that he's overrated, just undeserving of all the extra hype surrounding him.

LEAGUE 3 IS OPEN Three members have been invited so far, we need nine more. If you haven't registered for a league please PM robinventura23 for registration info. If you want a second league, you are also welcome, but we are trying to get the guys with no leagues in first. I expect that once league 3 is full, I will create a Yahoo Auction Draft league.
-
The draft is set for Sat Mar 20 8:30pm Chicago time - it's on a weekend and in an evening, so hopefully more people can be there. The only event it may coincide with is a second round NCAA game and NCAA.com streams games, iirc.

QUOTE (IamPabloOzuna @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 06:46 PM) Stop. You're getting too caught up in his recent struggles, both on and off the field. Look at his impact as a whole, from his top notch rookie season to today. Not to mention he's highly respected around the league. Peppers even said that one of the reasons he wanted to come to the bears was to have the chance to play with someone like Urlacher. He'll go down as one of the all-time greats in Bears history. I'm not trying to segue this into an NFL discussion, but, did you know that he's never lead the NFL in tackles and has only been in the top 10 three times? 2009 Injured 2008 49th with 15 MLB's with more tackles. 2007 10th with 5 MLB's with more tackles. 2006 6th with 3 MLB's with more tackles. 2005 13th with 7 MLB's with more tackles. 2004 Injured 2003 22nd with 6 MLB's with more tackles. 2002 2nd with 1 MLB with more tackles. 2001 11th with 8 MLB's with more tackles. He's a very good LB but is getting "white guy" fan attention. How has Briggs done in comparison? Tackles Urlacher 2009 3 2008 79 2007 92 2006 92 2005 97 2004 52 2003 87 2002 115 2001 89 Briggs 2009 93 2008 90 2007 83 2006 109 2005 83 2004 102 2003 65 Looks to me to be pretty even. Why are there no "Briggs to the Hall" articles?

Don't get me wrong. I like Urlacher. It's just that I think that he's overhyped by quite a few Bears fans.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Mar 10, 2010 -> 06:04 PM) Im always a little iffy when it comes to buying jerseys UNLESS its a classic type player ala bo jackson or more recently, Frank Thomas whom are forever etched into Sox history. I have too many bad memories of spending on an authentic ray durham jersey only to have him get traded shortly after, ugh... As far as buying a replica vs an authentic, theres a minor difference to ur everyday fan but a real stickler could easily point out the differences so I would go with the replica if it doesnt bother you that much. That's what I do. My Walter Payton jersey is forever. Those guys who have bought authentic Devin Hester or Brian Urlacher jerseys for 300-400 bucks will be wishing that they didn't in about a year or so.
