  2. Now, they only need some CBs, a #1 WR and some OL help.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 11:54 PM) I'm up for another one IF nobody else volunteers. Doesn't matter what kinda league it is. robinventura23 may be commishing. I may however start an Auction Draft league very soon for any Soxtalk member to join.
  4. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 12:27 AM) I don't want Juan Pierre getting his badness on any prospects. These kids haven't built up an immunity yet. I hope that he didn't teach Mitchell to throw like a girl.
  5. Well, Harrell and Omogrosso are already looking shaky.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 09:51 PM) I think thats how it should be. If you're gonna have them commit to you for an agreed upon amount of money, you should have to hold up your end of the bargain. Maybe it should; but, to accomplish it in any other sport would involve a long term work stoppage that would make MLB's 1994/95 strike look like Spring Break in comparison. In fact, the NFL players are trying to reinstate guaranteed contracts with a potential upcoming work stoppage in 2011/12, so this "party" is just gettin' started.
  7. At least with baseball you have some use for guys aged 30-35. It's almost non-existant from anyone but a kicker or QB in the NFL.
  8. The best thing that would save the NFL would be a rookie cap.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) Just like every other sport. True. But the NFL players' timelines are more sped up than most other sports because of the violent nature of the sport and higher decline of skills at a younger age. There aren't many other sports where you are "over the hill" when you hit 30. The NBA is a little like that, but not to the extreme that the NFL has experienced.
  10. The problem with the NFL is that today's high-priced free agent "studs" turn into overpaid old guys within only a few years.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) Hm. If you add Rolle and Peppers to this defense, we might stand a chance next year. Then give the Cardinals the third they want for Boldin? Let's make it an all Bears offseason. SOLD!
  12. The Dodge Brothers grew up in my hometown in the late 1800s; their dad had a machine shop and that's where they got the idea to build parts before moving to Detroit. http://www.allpar.com/corporate/bios/dodge-brothers.html
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 06:30 PM) When I go on spring break this weekend I am planning on searching my house for a radio I can grab and take to school. I meant for selling jerseys.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 06:16 PM) Exactly. I have a jersey selling business at school, but now my business is slow, so I have no more income at school, and now I am almost out. Have you considered eBay?
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 06:01 PM) Well, my meal plan is all pre-paid (buffet-style cafe), but if you want to send me a AM radio, that would be awesome! I don't know anything about this but: http://try.alot.com/tb/radio/radio_player....CFekD5QodKU1ecQ
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 05:09 PM) I don't understand chain link fences at MLB stadiums. They had/have that at Kaufmann, and it just looks bad. Part of the fence was locking up the patio area, which was closed because, well, it was early May.
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 4, 2010 -> 05:06 PM) If you take all of the worst things about the second teams in cities (Sox - no respect, Mets - constantly disappointing, Clippers - perennial losers), and put them into one football team, you get the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are awesome though. They have quite a bit of Super Bowl history, they've been around a long time, and they have rabid fans. Try fitting any of those statements into the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Tennessee Titans. You guys are even 4 up on the Lions or Browns fans. They've been around for a long time and have never even gone to the Super Bowl.
  18. A Chicago 2nd NFL franchise would go over about as well as the Chicago Wolves (good until the main team in town starts winning), but with much higher ticket prices.
