  1. I've been known to toss wits around here on occasion. MLB.com is all about speed and writing, less about entertainment.
  2. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 09:48 PM) I missed Big Bang Theory tonight, dangit. Does Comcast show "Big Bang" on On Demand?
  3. QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 12:21 AM) rockies = rocky horror. DING! DING! DING! You missed the Time Warp reference, old person.
  4. My basic point was, that the upcoming draft seems shallower in talent and has less hype than most drafts in the past that I've seen, outside of 1986 or 1987.
  5. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 25, 2008 -> 12:12 AM) I'll take a guess. Is Kip Wells or Scott Podsednik playing? Possibly, but not the joke's intent.
  6. Unfortunately, people's human nature is to see differences and pass judgements on those differences. So, if you got a scholarship from your church to go to college and they turned out to be anti-homosexuals. Would you, in turn, be considered homophobic by-proxy because you accepted said scholarship?
  7. My God, more dirty politicians?! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080325/ap_on_...vernor_drug_use
  8. I look at Beasley, I see Shawn Marion, a guy drafted in the teens. I'm not an expert on Rose, but to me, very few point guards come out and "light it up" right away. Jason Kidd - the exception.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) So you think it's fine to have a racist in the White house? I'm saying that there have been racists there before and somehow the country survived. I'm not promoting it by any means. I'm just saying that for all we know, Clinton and McCain are racist as well. There's more secret racism today than there used to be. Years ago, people were more bold and overt.
  10. Like there's never been a racist in the White House before.
  11. This is the first year in awhile that there seems to be no clearcut #1 guy. Beasley is the best of them if he comes out, but he'd be no better than Top 5 pick, compared to other years.
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 11:36 PM) Walsh I expect in New York by the end of the season. And if you look at his past moves before Larry Bird took over, he's got a pretty good record. His 1st job will be to dump Isaiah Thomas.

  14. Let's see how many of you get the reference.
  15. So, Donny Walsh leaves Indiana, been there since 1984. He might be CEO/President of the Knicks by June.
  16. Crede and Masset for Cain and a scrub...?
  17. I'll probably have it on at work.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 08:57 PM) Anyone want to write a 6-8 minute speech about John McCain's military career for me? http://www.rd.com/national-interest/people...P1/article.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McCain http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/2008/0...on-account.html
  19. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 09:04 PM) I get to watch Boston vs. Cleveland at 9PM live tonight as well. That in itself, is going to be quite weird. If you're a Cleveland fan, you'll be disappointed.
  20. Here we go. The point seems to be valid, no matter how much Kalapse berates it.
  21. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) Its stupid scheduling. I know the teams in warm weather and that have domes don't want their home games being played in April when kids are in school, but they should at least put as many games as possible into those locations until at least the middle of April. The Brewers with their dome come to Chicago twice in April. I know the games will sell out, but what about possible rainouts or coldouts or just the disinegration of the quality of the game when its ridiculously cold. That was exactly my point in a thread that I made in The Diamond Club a few weeks back. Why not schedule the warmer weather/dome teams at home the first week and a half of the season?
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Mar 24, 2008 -> 03:37 PM) while we are complementing Avs, Knight, sweet one. Clone High was awesome. The "Black and Tan" part with the "say what" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. It's been an ongoing joke with my friends and I http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y115/knig.../Clone_High.jpg Here's a wallpaper made from a deviant art poster.
