  1. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 12:52 AM) You have to be nimble and light footed to play 2B. More than SS? There have been a decent amount of larger/taller MIs who did just fine.
  2. QUOTE(almagest @ Mar 3, 2008 -> 12:31 AM) I really don't think people here understand that Crede has injury concerns, is in the last year of his contract, and has an agent who has a bad relationship with the White Sox. There's a disconnect with reality here that boggles my mind. It doesn't matter how much we like him, or what crazy schemes we can come up with to keep him on the team. The writing's on the wall -- he gone. I also don't remember anywhere NEAR the outcry when Frank Thomas left, and that man is a dominant hall of famer, and played with the White Sox for 14 years. Seriously. What is so good about Crede? I fully understand. I'm just saying that Crede and Fields together give this team a better chance to compete than Uribe/Richar/Ramirez and Fields do. Have Fields play 2b til the trade deadline, then deal Crede if you're out of it and move Fields back to 3b.
  3. He can move back over to 3b and Ramirez can be the 2b.
  4. Flacco might remind ol' Bill of Bledsoe and he'd get all misty-eyed. He'd probably be there for pick 1 in round 2.
  5. Jeff Kent was a 2b who went to 3b and then to 1b, then back to 2b. It's been done. 2b is a lot easier than 3b imo.
  6. I still don't see anything wrong with Fields learning 2B.
  7. Perhaps it is the increased divorce rate and nonchalantness in American society towards casual sex. It is less of a stigma than it used to be. Or perhaps some modern medicines/meat hormones can heighten young children's mindsets and base tendencies towards more violence. /takes off foil hat
  8. QUOTE(toasty @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 08:42 PM) meh. trade tome konerko to DH, put crede @ 1b fields @ 3rd I'm stunned by this. Crede>>>>>>>Fields at 3B defensively.
  9. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) Your posts remind me of someone. Who was that Iraqi, Saddam's guy who would go on the TV during the invasion and tell everyone that Iraq was winning... Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf http://www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com/
  10. Hmmm. Maybe Quentin's not as healthy as they are reporting.
  11. Attendance in Mexico: 12,855. Mexico > Tampa Bay...?
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 1, 2008 -> 08:48 AM) Well aCE YOU GOT YOUR WISH I'M drunk right now, so there's your comuffins. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 06:17 PM) You just said comuffins QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 07:26 PM) I did indeed. Apparently it's Co muffins though, now that I look at it. Cool word though I figure. I'll ask the question that no one will ask: What the hell is a "comuffin"/"co muffin"?
  13. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 06:14 PM) im a little drunk right now...is that good or bad Don't dive into the yellow snow.
  14. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) I didn't see the game so I have no idea how Indiana looked. I just think it's silly to try and play ametur phsychologist and make such an assertive comment about the mindset of the Indiana players. You don't need to be a psychologist to notice this stuff. The players themselves talked to the media about boycotting their own game vs. Northwestern and write Sampson's initials on their shoes. They go out and play like crap versus NW, a team obviously not on the same talent level with them. Then go back to Assembly Hall and squeak by a clearly inferior Ohio State team.
  15. Maybe Haeger should pitch in the Mexican League.
  16. Haeger's knuckler is dancing in the Mexican heat.
  17. QUOTE(Harvin4Heisman @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 05:41 PM) someone on scout.com said we may be interested in Mark Ellis. I'm not sure how much this would take (this is a trade) considering we got only an A-ball pitcher for Gooch last year. We are okay at 2b unless Roberts can come from Bal. Ellis isn't much of an upgrade over the guys who are there now. Per the Gooch comment: Iguchi was a non-tenderable foreign free agent. We wouldn't have gotten any compensation for losing him as a free agent. That's why Philly only sent Duby in return.
  18. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 05:36 PM) So an opposing team shooting ~55% from beyond the arc means Indiana players aren't "into it"? That's brilliant logic. I'm just saying that Indiana is starting to look flat. I wouldn't be surprised if they lose early in the NCAAs.
  19. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 05:36 PM) Fielder unhappy with his contract. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb I really want to like this guy, probably because I liked his father Cecil. But after I watched that show E:60 on ESPN and the way he refuses to talk to his dad, he makes me sick. From what I hear, it's Cecil's fault as much as it is Prince's.
  20. Hm. The boxscores haven't changed in awhile... Maybe Arizona has gotten tired from hitting.
  21. Linebrink seems to be out of synch this preseason so far. Hopefully - with that contract - he's not a bust .
  22. QUOTE(Shadows @ Mar 2, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) Ide say Oakland is looking like a good fit.. He wont slip past the Jets I would imagine Falcons looking like they'll be getting Matt Ryan if Miami doesn't take him Thomas Jones will be pissed. It'll be Cedric Benson all over again...except McFadden's actually good. Also, I can't see Miami taking Ryan if they want to give Beck another shot this year.
  23. Split squad games today - the other game is in Mexico. Masset is dominating AZ - 3IP 3H 1BB 1K http://mlb.mlb.com/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2...chamlb_arimlb_2 Sox 1 AZ 0 - 4th inn.
  24. The list of McFadden suitors is getting thinner. I would almost bet that a team who doesn't need him, drafts him. Like when Deuce McCallister was picked by NO after they had Ricky Williams, Reggie Bush after they had McCallister and Minny drafting Adrian Peterson after they had Chester Taylor.
  25. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) I'd like to see how Indiana's players would play if they were into it then. Four in a row ain't bad for not tryin' huh? How 'bout now?
