QUOTE(shipps @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) Has anyone ever had haggis?I always thought of it to be something that completly disgusting, and it might be,but I seen a "food travels" show last night and they had some that looked really good.I think its banned here in the states though, they were in Scotland. The making of it is not banned. I believe that the importing it from Scotland is though. There's a Ireland/British Isles restaurant near me that sells it.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 7, 2008 -> 12:04 AM) Also if Thomas was dealt (which may look likely at this stage, depends if a new coach was hired in the off-season etc.), what would Bulls fans want in return for him? I'd be hoping for a lottery pick since he was one, but I'd have no clue if he's even shown enough to be worth that.

With Lowry out now, the Giants can't trade a pitcher though, unless it's a lower level guy.

It's amazing how powerful team chemistry can be.

McDonald's could have a Hindu and Muslim eating section where they can eat chicken and vegetarian meals without having to see non-believers eating dead cows and pigs around them. -
Has the Internet taken some fun out of baseball?

QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 09:40 PM) When I joined Soxtalk I thought it would be like a community of like minded individuals. Instead it's like nitpickers central who ridicule any minor error and resort to name calling if you can't spend the better part of your day looking up stats to support your opinion. Everyone has their own differing opinion on every subject and, as Americans/Canadians/etc, they have a right to state that opinion in a public forum. Some people argue their opinion better than others. Some resort to nitpicking and name calling out of frustration; because, while they disagree with your opinion, they have no way to refute it as it is your opinion. How can you go somewhere on the internet and automatically expect other people, who are their own "free and independent thinker," to agree with your mindset immediatey just because they like the same sports team as you do? Also, when it comes to requesting stats to back up opinions, why shouldn't people expect other posters to back up their opinions with a shred of fact? We expect all professionals in our everyday lives to do it (media, politicians, lawyers, doctors, teachers, the announcers on tv doing the ball game.) Again, I don't mean to belabor the point here, but, why should you expect to be any different? Internet message board posting is akin to being on a debate team. If you are arguing, make sure that you are coherant and know from what you speak of. Nobody likes the guy who "talks out of his backside." I'm not saying you do, I'm just stating as to why people "nitpick", because they care about knowing the facts. -

Kiper has the Pats taking Rogers-Cromartie with their SF pick. -
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 05:24 PM) I have sex on Wednesdays, but I could squeeze in a quick draft right beforehand, but it has to be at around 7. Oh come on, you'll probably be done in 5 minutes anyway.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 04:48 PM) I mean, how many "Tank's" are there in the league? One "Tank" is one too many. -
Just pick a time between the 11th and 18th and I'll try to be there.

I can see KW getting 1 quality, 1 mediocre prospect for Crede if they add some cash.

Swisher and Thome will definitely help raise opposing pitchers' pitch counts up earlier this year. You could see guys barely going 6 innings if each Sox batter can average 5 to 8 pitches seen per appearance.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 6, 2008 -> 03:24 AM) Rex Grossman was the same QB who was on a Super Bowl team the year before. The problem was that the Bears O-Line sucked so bad that everyone else sucked. I also sincerely doubt they look for a QB in the first; I'd be surprised if they don't look for a lineman, if one is available. Kiper has them taking a OT from Vanderbilt in round one in '08. -

For the longest time, Fitness USA would restrict days that women and men could go. If you were a guy, you'd pay your $500+ fee but you could only go like Tues, Thur, & Sat. Women went Mon, Wed & Fri. So, if you were a guy and you wanted to exercise on a Friday, you had to drive to the next nearest Fitness and hope that they had it alternated so you could exercise. FYI - Last I checked, universities were businesses. -
