QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 9, 2007 -> 09:19 AM) Haha, you're on. And I just saw The Prestige last night--wow. I figured out what was going on pretty early in the movie, but still, what a mind trip. Check this out then.

  3. Stone with Hawk on TV, DJ pbp on the Score, Farmer color. Singleton... somewhere else.
  4. I wasn't into it last year, but I'd be interested this year.
  5. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Aug 8, 2007 -> 11:20 AM) And Victor Martinez has improved dramatically in throwing out basestealers this year. 'roids.
  6. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) Well, I will pipe in here. I personally do not feel that one needs God, or any sort of religion, to know right from wrong. I like to think I act rightly not just out of fear, but of an internal desire to not hurt people. Of course, that internal desire may be directly linked to God, in some peoples' eyes. Your internal desire was taught to you as a youngster by your environment which had a value system.
  7. How would you know "right" or "wrong" without a value system? Basically, you'd do whatever you wanted until someone with a value system came to arrest you.
  8. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) So you need a religion or a god to tell you that killing someone is bad? Thank the lordy lord that he didn't say it was cool to do that. What concern of the consequences would there be if there was no fear of retribution?
  9. Religion is the basis of all morality and laws. So, if you don't want to believe that the government is influenced by religion, go shoot a guy and see what happens.
  10. QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ Aug 7, 2007 -> 02:17 PM) No way, too insecure. If I ask her out again I gotta do it in a confident way. I hate to be the one to break this news to you, but your threads reek of insecurity. Talk to the girl directly or let her come to you. You'll never know the real story til you hear it directly from her mouth.
  11. You're trying too hard and pushing things. She was at the party to meet people and have fun, not to be assaulted by your tongue and harassed via text message. If she wants to see you again, she'll find you.
  12. Contreras is going to be very tough to move in the offseason.
  13. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 6, 2007 -> 03:45 PM) Hasn't Wells had nasty things to say about Bonds, or am I mistaken? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12902314/
  14. He needs to get ARod's sig on that ASAP before he leaves baseball.
  15. Usually it's strong legs and limberness which can give you more power. Overall muscularity may give brute power but not consistancy. You'll strikeout a lot more than you'll succeed.
  16. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 6, 2007 -> 08:51 AM) Not just cute and blonde - those chicks are TOTALLY NAKED too!! I dunno. You can definitely see patches of fuzz there.
  17. Sounds like a hell of a drink.

We have a theater here where I can see a first run movie for $2.50 matinee or $3.50 regular and medium popcorn or medium soda are $1.75 each. It's a beautiful thing.
  19. He needs to at least get to 550 if his legs can hold up.
  20. PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS?! DON'T TALK ABOUT PLAYOFFS!! I JUST HOPE WE'RE LUCKY ENOUGH TO WIN A GAME!!
  21. Who cares if he did steroids if they weren't illegal in major league baseball? It wasn't against the rules when he used them.
  22. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 12:04 AM) And I promise you, Bonds doesn't put up the numbers he's put up now in Babe Ruth's day. Prove it.
  23. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 11:54 PM) Koufax. I was picking guys who weren't allowed to play against him. Satchell Paige, Don Newcombe, Juan Marichal, JR Richard... etc.
