  1. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 24, 2008 -> 09:58 AM) He reminds me a little of Freddy Garcia. Yeah a little. Clayton takes a lot less time to pitch though. Freddy use to drive me nuts with his walk around the mound between each pitch.
  2. Hester isn't even a very good reciever. The kid has a ton to learn about the routes.
  3. Awesome come from behind win today....!!! TCQ is just f***ing awesome.
  4. I wouldn't mind seeing Greinke in a Sox uni....won't happen but it would be nice. IMO
  5. Astros Acquire Randy Wolf By Tim Dierkes [July 22 at 3:03pm CST] TUESDAY: The Astros acquired Wolf for minor league pitcher Chad Reineke, according to Tom Krasovic. Baseball America wondered if Reineke could eventually become another Chad Qualls, a guy who blossoms with a move to the bullpen. What are the Astros thinking here? This team is still playing to win, even with their backs against the wall. Perhaps they hope to convince Wolf to stick around in '09. Might be hard though - he just bought Slash's house in L.A. MONDAY: According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Astros are "engaged in serious discussions to acquire veteran left-hander Randy Wolf of the San Diego Padres." Olney notes that the Astros are not included in Wolf's no-trade clause. It seems that Ed Wade's Astros are playing for 2008, even at ten games out of the wild card. Wolf will be a free agent after the season. He has a 4.74 ERA in 21 starts this year, with a healthy 7.9 K/9. The 31 year-old southpaw has struggled away from PETCO.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 22, 2008 -> 01:53 PM) No kidding. Look how terrible Quentin and Ramirez ended up being. Yeah I am sure Walker helped those two learn how to hit...
  7. Wow LaRoche under the instruction of Greg Walker....man it would probably ruin what ever career he may have left.
  8. KW better be working the phones....I would assume he would have to be as pissed about this team as we are.
  9. I am just wondering when these guys will ever realize this softball mentality won't work.
  10. Game over. This team is f***ing dead if they keep playing like this garbage.
  11. DJ says "nothing like the feel of the sweet meat"...ummm errr ok then.
  12. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 21, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) Offense needs to get us back in this game. Probably wouldn't matter if they did... the way the pitching has been of late they would give it right back to the Rangers anyway...
  13. Oh boy an error.... he will score for sure now....
  14. CRAWFORD RE-SIGNS WITH THE BLACKHAWKS Goalie returns to Chicago organization for fourth season Chicago, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced Monday that the National Hockey League club has re-signed goaltender Corey Crawford for the 2008-08 season. In 55 games with the Rockford IceHogs in 2007-08, Crawford finished third in the AHL with 29 wins and had a 2.83 goals against average with a .907 save percentage. The Montréal, Québec native was a vital component of the Rockford IceHogs first-round win over the Houston Aeros in the 2008 Calder Cup playoffs, allowing more than one goal in a game just once. He posted a 2.27 GAA and .921 save percentage in 741 minutes in the postseason. The 23-year-old was drafted by the Blackhawks #52 overall (round 2) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He has played in 163 AHL games with an 89-60-10 record, 2.79 GAA and .909 save percentage. In seven games with the Blackhawks, he has a .915 save percentage and has allowed 13 goals. He has six career professional shutouts. The workhorse netminder finished sixth in the AHL in 2007-08 in appearances despite spending three weeks with the Blackhawks in relief of an injured Nikolai Khabibulin. It was his sixth consecutive season with 50 or more games played stretching back to his second year with the Moncton Wildcats of the Québec Major Junior Hockey League. During his stint with the Blackhawks last season, Crawford notched his first NHL win, a 19-save shutout over the Anaheim Ducks. He also made a career-high 44 saves against Detroit on March 11, 2008. In his third career re-call, he had a .929 save percentage and 2.14 GAA in five contests
