Redskins Sign Randle El
QUOTE(bulokis @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:40 PM) I heard him say he would need to be overwhelmed to signed with another team other than the bears so Redskins did. He would have been good as a PR/KR, and a 3rd WR. The bears need a WR that can step up to be a #2 or #3. I still think Bradley and Berrian can step up and fill those Roles. But I really wanted Randle EL. He would've given this team an added demension that they've never had.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:33 PM) Ehh not really. Pretty good game today, but yesterday's games were marred by missed open looks and tired legs. Overall, an average Big 10 Tourney, although they almost always are because these teams know each other so well and are tired. The actual play was far from pretty. I meant more the competitiveness/intensity/effort aspect.

Redskins Sign Randle El
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 04:37 PM) Bunch of bulls***, always is. It is ALL about the money 99 percent of the time. People like Paulie are a RARE RARE RARE exception to the rule. Paul's not from Chicago. I do see your point, though.

Redskins Sign Randle El
This is no doubt dissapointing. But the Bears offer was more than fair. I guess I read too much into the "coming back home" stuff.

Edge signs with the Cardinals
This should turn out to be the signing off the off-season. That Cards offense should be filthy.

This was a great BIG 10 tourney.

OSU is toast in the tourney if they think they can rely on jacking up 35 3's a game. I can see why they had to take so many today with Dials being in foul trouble. But I don't think they go inside enough.

That's the game right there. Congratulations to the Hawkeyes. An unlikely Big 10 tournament champion.

Anybody miss Damaso Marte right about now? His 3.50 era or whatever it was doesn't look so bad anymore.

Sox vs Angels 3/12
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:47 PM) He's a competitor. He doesn't want to lose his job. He likes to pitch. Well, for now atleast, he's lost it anyway. So not telling the truth (not saying that's the case) didn't do much for him. Anyway, it's not really important. It's now clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's not ready. So who's available that we could realistically get to replace him?

Sox vs Angels 3/12
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) A guy who doesn't want to lose his job isn't going to always tell the truth about every ache and pain. A back problem is different than simple aches and pain.

Sox vs Angels 3/12
QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:44 PM) What's he going to say in the press? "Yeah, my back is still sore, and I'm worried about my velocity"? It just seemed by some of the rationalizations I read that things weren't right with him. It's not like you can hide a back problem. If he's hurt, why lie about it?

Sox vs Angels 3/12
QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) There was plenty of speculation about his health. You could tell he was even concerned about it. Every quote I've read from Dustin stated that his back wasn't a problem.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) It appears my worrying is for a legitimate reason. I meant in general. Not you.

Sox vs Angels 3/12
You can now put me in the Kenny needs to go out and get another reliever camp. I wasn't gonna really judge Dustin until the end of spring. I thought it was just simply a case of him building his arm strength back up. After today's performance, he's clearly not 100%. I'll will say this much, be prepared to overpay. Especially with the season just a few weeks away. Not too many teams out there have extra relief help to spare. And you can pretty much forget about any AL team dealing with us.

Sox vs Angels 3/12
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) Cooper mentioned they were worried about his back a couple of days ago. It certainly doesn't look good for him. You're always worried. I was just saying that before today, there was nothing that said Dustin was having physical problems. That's obviously not the case.
-
Sox vs Angels 3/12
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) He left with a trainer. The guy is hurt and has been hurt. He has as much chance of being at full strength in 3 weeks as Kerry Wood. I can see that he's hurt now. Before that, there were no physical problems that anybody could see.

Ask, and Jenks will answer
I still don't blame him for that game 2 blown save. I feel that was Rowand's fault more than anything.
