I want to see Eloy put one in the water.

Much needed win. Lynn looked great again, and his single that drove in the winning runs was key. Kopech looked okay. He did a nice job battling through his first inning, but there was no reason to have him bat and start the 8th. Hendriks was the guy we needed at the time we needed him. The guy we saw last night is the crazy SOB we're going to need in the playoffs. Good to see the Sox win a game against a really good team on national TV. It was the pitching duel that was advertised, but part of that was due to the Sox hitters continuing to look like poop. It's a strange night when Zavala and Lynn drive in your only runs. Speaking of Zavala, from what I've seen, he does a better job behind the plate than Collins. And he received praise again from Lynn. Any chance he sticks around and Collins goes down when Grandal comes back?

Fuck yeah

Holy 101, Batman.

Yeah, he was described as one of the best pure hitters available.

Liam fired up.

No, he needs to be TLR’s designated driver.

I’m confused…as is TLR, apparently.

Announcers scratching their heads about having Kopech bat, too.

Shit.

WTF Abreu?

I guess they’re gonna roll Kopech out for the 8th. Not showing a lot of faith in the rest of the bullpen.

Whoa, they shifted and got the out.

Originally I was thinking Mendick goes down tomorrow, but now I’m all for Goodwin getting the boot. I seriously wonder if he already believes he’s gone. Seems uninterested so far.

He could have beaten the play.

Offense continues to underwhelm.

This has been a bad weekend for this umpire crew.

Huh. I wonder if the Sox were ever really in on him or if they just didn’t match up well with what the Pirates wanted. Seems like a light return.

Third player must be more impactful. Maybe?

Marcano is their #6 prospect. I don’t see JACK Suwinski in their top 30.

Hopefully this is the beginning of a busy week…and the Sox making some moves.

Interested to see who’s going to Pittsburgh. Couldn’t have been a cheap acquisition.

Lopez looked pretty good.

I’ve seen enough of Leury. I mean, really.

Yeah, I like Burger and Sheets, but both are extraneous on this team. They need better players now for the playoffs. For the right player(s), I’d happily trade either or both.
