    What is your job?

Actor - and at the moment I'm a leasing agent, so if anyone needs an apartment in the city, hit me up.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) That really is awesome. I think it would be really cool to actually watch the making of the show for a day, or to be an extra on it (even if it is just like a guy in the cafeteria or whatever). if any of y'all have seen Public Enemies I have like 20 seconds of screen time in that. I'm seen clearly in Fred Claus as well and I'm a blur in a couple others. Yeah it is kinda fun to do.
  3. 23 in exactly one month to the day.
  4. i'm so glad this thread got bumped. like i said a week ago, he's still a capable pitcher and he's our best option, so why do we keep b****ing?
  5. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 04:23 PM) If we can actually sweep a god damn team for once, we'd be in good shape. ya know, taking 2 of 3 per series still equates to a .667 winning percentage...
  6. hey remember last week when y'all were ripping contreras? yeah. nuff said.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 11:29 AM) Venus Flytrap. Good idea. HAH! how ironic is it that you just typed this as I was about to post: and yes, that last one, though it's hard to see, there's a disembowled fly in the trap at the top of the picture (the not-red one)
  8. but yeah... i mean, i haven't smelled anything strange thus far... and I've looked. I mean I just moved in so it's probably not food. I would totally believe a dead rat or mouse or something somewhere but the flies aren't THAT bad. They've actually gone down in the few days since I've covered up the holes. We shall see...
  9. QUOTE (Nixon @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 01:22 PM) Usually the presence of flies signals some sort of demonic presence in the house, you should call your local church and ask for them to come inspect/bless the property. You should hurry before you find yourself possessed and have to be put down by a couple of unemployed Abercrombie & Fitch models packing antique weaponry. Regards, wait so I shouldn't have turned away those spanish-speaking Jehovah's Witnesses who were flabbergasted by the fact that I didn't speak Spanish and thus had no speech to give me? Yeah it was pretty funny.
  10. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 17, 2009 -> 11:25 PM) I’d agree with you that this team was a middling team entering this year. However, the midseason acquisitions of Castro, Kotsay, Peavy, and Rios put us in direct contention. Now, in the second half failure is not an option. fair enough, but i also think those moves were "guarantee us for 2010, and if they put us over the top in '09 so be it". i don't think the goal of the moves was to get us to the WS this year.
  11. underachievers my ass. this team was never built to compete this year. we're playing exactly as well as I expected us to, thus, I've never been too live or die with the 2009 white sox cuz I've got my sights set on next year.
  12. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 08:54 AM) Jose Contreras-S-White Sox Aug. 15 - 9:21 am et Despite giving up six runs in 4 1/3 innings, Jose Contreras will remain in the rotation. "I don't have any choice," manager Ozzie Guillen said. "Our options aren't much. Maybe (Saturday), we change our minds. But right now, we got to keep running him out there, hopefully for the best." After a bumpy start to the year, Contreras seemed to start turning things around in June and July. He's right back to being a liability, and you can bet the White Sox are looking for a replacement. woohoo! and no, not meant to be green.
  13. even when gordon f***s up he ties up the game. he's dreamy.
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:45 PM) Love you Carrasco. God this guy is a savior. a double, a walk and an inherited run scored = savior?
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:40 PM) Come on man...DJ's bailed us out so many times already this season, we'd be in 4th place without his work. shoulda been in green i guess. that, and it was mostly a response to all those people yelling for DJ to be in sooner. I just think Jose shouldn't be getting all the flack for this game. I recognize DJ's done a great job for us.
  16. OMFG DJ CARRASCO IS SO f***ING GOOD OMFG OMFG I'M SO GLAD HE'S IN THE GAME
  17. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:33 PM) Contreras would kill to keep that ERA of 5 if he were to complete the season. His last 3 starts have been just awful. He is done. oh, and as for your crystal ball, can i borrow it some time?
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:33 PM) Contreras would kill to keep that ERA of 5 if he were to complete the season. His last 3 starts have been just awful. He is done. this one = errors. and if i recall correctly, buehrle had two pretty brutal games following the perfecto. DFA him.
  19. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) If other teams pay their #5 starter 10 mill a year, then they have the right to be just as frustrated and pissed about them as we do Contreras. 4 wins, 11 losses... HE HAD A MASSIVE f***ING INJURY!!! and the sox are supposed to just eat that salary and dump him for another pitcher who they'd have to ALSO pay a salary to be just as bad? now THAT is a bad business decision.
  20. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) I was about to leave, but then I saw this post. The bold part is blatantly false. His ERA was over 5, even before tonight. Now I'm gone. an ERA over 5 in the American League is bad, but every team has one in the rotation.
  21. yep you're right. Freddy's gonna be our savior. gimme a f***ing break.
  22. and seriously, you guys are like "dfa count and sign a pitcher" WHO? WHO are you going to sign? a 5th starter is SUPPOSED to be the worst starter on your staff, and when Peavy comes up that's what Jose will be. Get off the friggin ledge.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 10:21 PM) At least we can once again confidently say his extension was the worst contract of KW's regime. jesus you people are ridiculous tonight. EVERY team runs out guys like Contreras on a weekly basis. he's been an adequate 5th starter this year and came back from a massive injury. give the guy a f***ing break. without the errors he'd have given up 1 or 2 at most.
  24. what the f***? without the errors the score wouldn't be NEARLY as bad. whats with the hatred towards jose?
  25. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2009 -> 09:37 PM) That ball was clearly foul. It's really easy to tell, just try to see if you can view the ball passing the foul pole. If you do, then it's foul. it doesn't pass in front of the pole, it went over it, so no you can't use that method to tell. i think it was fair. but regardless, what happened to that replay thingamajigger?
