QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 04:28 AM) Haha, I've completely forgotten about this this. Reddy, from personal experience, it's impossible to gain weight correctly. That is, avoid unhealthy foods; concentrate entirely on high protein items such as chicken. Too expensive for a college student to keep up with. Especially if you're like me, and need to compensate for a high metabolism. It was probably two months after my February post where I just thought, what the f***, and decided to continue working out -- but eat whatever I want to. And in large quantities. I had probably gained two/three pounds trying to gain weight the right way; how nutrionists suggest. I haven't eaten entirely junk food (still try to have some semblance of healthiness), but the results are more noticeable. Still gain muscle, but fat as well. Right now I'm about 175. Even now, five pounds below my goal, I still look fairly skinny. I'm thinking of 190 now. well thanks for ruining my dreams. haha yeah i've got that pesky high metabolism thing too. though my version of the 'right way' right now just consists of me eating 2600 calories of whatever i want (high protein though) and working out every day. hopefully that works? lol...

this is the saddest part for me... having performed on this stage and being close friends with the Riverside Theatre folk... I don't know what they're gonna do now... There's supposed to be seats and a stage in there... ugh.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 19, 2008 -> 04:02 AM) Theriot's doing pretty well at SS. If his average wasn't so pitiful, I'd suggest Swish as well. Dye is definitely superior to Fukudome. While Marmol is very good, Linebrink's getting the snub. nah have you seen marmol's numbers? they're sick.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 17, 2008 -> 02:59 PM) I will say, disasters like this just make me more impressed by my fellow Iowans. They were interviewing someone from Burlington on one of the networks and he said "everyone is here, helping their neighbors. If they're not, then they should be." No one's looking to blame any hydrologists or anything. They just want to get back to normal. i agree whole heartedly. iowans rock.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Feb 26, 2008 -> 09:28 PM) If enough people are willing to jump aboard I'd support it. I'm 6'2, about 160. That's no joke either. I could use 20 pounds. dude guys i'm in the same boat. i'm on a high protein/exercise plan right now. let's start this thing. i'm 5'7" (yeah i'm short) and 125 and i'd love to ad like 15 pounds.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 15, 2008 -> 04:18 AM) You're not powerless. Worst comes to worst, donations and/or work or recovery afterwards will be absolutely necessary and they'll be looking for everyone they can. If it gets bad enough, there would have been nothing you could have done anyways. oh i know, i'm definitely gonna help out. as soon as i can get home i'm going to cuz the aftermath's gonna be ugly. it's just frustrating currently. good news though, theoretically the reservoir crested last night so here's hoping.

goddamnit i hate this. sitting here in chicago while my family's at home in IC. I f***ing can't deal with it. i want to be there helping but there's no way to get there. even if i could get away from my job/shows/etc i couldn't physically drive to my house because all the roads are closed. it sucks being so powerless.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jun 10, 2008 -> 12:37 PM) I wonder how much different it would be then the Subway series in 2000 or whenever that was? Its easy to say living in Chicago but I think the Cubs/Sox rivalry is bigger than the Yankees and Mets. Especially because most Yankee fans probably use most of their hate on the Red Sox. exactly. yeah i completely agree. i think it's a lot worse here.
