I actually thought that the only end was Jimmy being killed, but I thought they did a good job of leaving it unclear if Nucky was actually going to do it: "Well that means I have a decision to make" and then having Jimmy do all of his dirty work with regard to the KKK, treasurer etc. I think next season will be a little different, clearly Van Alden going to Cicero isnt just a coincidence and with the trial/Darmody story line wrapped up, seems Nucky needs some new enemies. Maybe its time that the church and Nucky go to war.

This is why the NBA needed to hire a trustee/3rd party to run the Hornets in the best interest of the franchise or just say that they are going to make any trades until they have a new owner. I have no problem with the NBA playing hard ball with their best asset, I just dont understand how it goes from one extreme to another. Seems to be a complete clusterf***.

I guess after watching the rest of the NBA rape the Clippers for years, Stern wanted a piece of the action. Supposedly Hornets were holding out for Gordon, Minnesota 1st round, Bledsoe, Kaman and Aminu.

If Brandon Jacobs and Bradshaw are healthy their running game is decent. Jacobs had a 7.4 ypc average against GB and 5.3 against Dallas. They havent run for a lot of yards this year, but thats a combination of things (one of them being Manning throwing for a ton of yards and the other being their defense giving up a lot of points.) That being said, the NFC just doesnt have a ton of run based attacks. Which is why I never said that the Giants were a great run team, just that they would rely more on the run. (edit) If you look at the possible playoff teams in the NFC, almost all of them are going to rely on aerial attacks. Id take the Giants running game over Atlanta, NO, Dallas, Detroit and San Fran.

Thats not true, a team that would rely more on running the ball would do better. A team like the Giants could be tough match up in the cold, considering GB only beat them by 3 points in good conditions with a healthy Greg Jennings

Packers are going to be harder to beat in a neutral setting than Lambeau. They are built for pristine conditions, not terrible ones. Catching a pass in negative wind chill is drastically harder than in 70 and indoor.

This Green Bay team isnt even the best team to ever play in the NFL. The problem for Green Bay potentially will be a devastatingly cold winter game with huge winds that negates much of the passing game.

Steve, This is exactly what the Hornets should have been doing, trying to squeeze every ounce out of teams that want to trade. At the end of the day the Hornets can always say, okay we will take only 1 of the 2, but why not hold out for both as long as you can?

If anything it helps them get a better draft pick, because without Cutler and Forte the only place the Bears were going was a 1st round exit.

They have good WR's and TE's. Jennings is the most talented but hes not a clear cut #1 (imagine what Rodgers could do with a guy like Dez Bryant, etc.) The guys are solid, but they dont have any freak wr's who are just going to go out and abuse cb's. They have a QB who abuses the cb's and wr's who make the catches.

I actually am in the minority here and think that Rodgers is making a lot of receivers look great. Its almost comical, but you can tell he is purposefully trying to spread the ball around and get everyone stats. Yesterday in the 4 TE set, you knew he was going to try and get the new guy the ball.

Maybe its better to mercifully end this season because this team is going nowhere fast.

You do realize magic isnt a compliment. The only explanation is some sort of wizardry which has nothing to do with football skills. Some sort of curse on the other teams they play, because its self inflicted.

So it sounds like the the Hornets/Lakers/Rockets may be able to try and rework the deal. Thats complete shenanigans because its going to give the Hornets a huge upper hand.
