No this one isnt on Ozzie. Unless you forget the only reason that the Sox were even up 1-0, is that Lillibridge a player only Ozzie would even have on his team hit the hr to put them ahead. Im sure Mark said that he was tired, no way does Ozzie not give his starter a chance. Thornton deserves a shot at the closer role, but this is another strike against, Im not sure how many more chances he gets to be honest.

Im not sure how Ozzie made a professional player drop a fly ball, nor how he forced Thornton to throw an 0-2 pitch down the middle, or Crain for that matter. You pay the players to win games, these are mistakes that you hope a High School player wont make.

You just shouldnt be giving up big hits when you are ahead 1-2 or 0-2. That is a pitchers pitch, miss bad at worst.

Right now Morel just needs to start realizing that he is in the majors and that teams are tracking every pitch to him. They are going to throw him nothing close until he makes them throw strikes. Its actually a great place to be as a hitter, he just needs to put the bat on his shoulder and take 1-2 pitches each at bat.

That 0-2 pitch is a killer. Thornton already showed the slider, so no need to throw another off-speed that at bat. If you are going to throw one, you need it to be unhittable. The pitch call should have been a fastball higher than high. He still may get out of it yet, but some one has to go over that at bat and either tear Thornton or AJ a new one.

In regards to Fathom's post about Morel: The biggest concern I have is that he seemingly just swings at everything. If he could improve his patience some, I think he could be solid hitter because right now he can hit. The problem is as other teams scout him more they are going to throw him more and more junk and watch him swing away.

I wasnt responding to any post specifically, just saying that I enjoy drink specials. More to the point I was suggesting that there are plenty of bars that have drink specials, so dont just limit yourself to the 6 or so that are affiliated with Kendalls. Weve been to places where Guiness, etc is part of the package. Just gotta keep your eyes open.

Ive maybe been to Kendalls one time, so I actually have no idea. I dont go to Lincoln Park (often), but drink specials arent unique to Lincoln Park, hence my statement about drink specials, not Lincoln Park.

$150 was somewhat hyperbole, although there have been plenty of times Ive spent that much. For $20 you can drink all you can drink at many places. You immediately have to add $10 for tips, thus my $30 as the minimum. Now for all you can drink we are normally getting in the area of 10 drinks. Lets say that we are at a normal bar, that would be around $50 if we are drinking low end beer or well drinks. Now you once again have to add at least $10 for tips. So sure, was I using hyperbole to say $150 versus $30. But even at what i would consider to be the cheapest bars, Im still at minimum spending $50-$60 and that is not including food, which these specials include (maybe not classy food, but a meal is a meal). So add on another $10+ tip for food. Once again, I was being sarcastic about the $150. but I guess even the most chill atmosphere isnt worth 2x the price of admission. Ive been to bars from Uptown to River North to the West Side. I wont even get into the West Side because thats an additional $20 or more on cabs. My point was more about the attitude saying that drink specials are for college kids only. Drink specials are for anyone who enjoys getting drunk and not having to pay through the nose. Whether you think $50 is a lot (some people dont) or $150, I prefer to spend less.

I catch as many drink specials as I can on the weekend. Im not in college, but I dont care for overpriced drinks or an upper crest crowd, so my friends and I generally go to places with drink specials. Id rather spend $30 to have a good time, than $150. The only negative is that at the pricier bars youre probably going to find more high end ladies, but Im into the girl next door type, so I prefer the classless scene. I have to dress nice for work, Im wearing whatever I want on the weekend.

Jackson has been a Boars client since before 2008. A lot can change in 3 years, especially when the client has considerably more money. 25% is not good odds, I just wouldnt put it past Jackson to go against Boras if he felt it was the right decision.

The good news for the Bulls is that Miami hasnt played the Celtics well, so its not a sure thing that the Bulls ever even face the Heat.

Agents represent clients, I dont care if he has Darth Vader as his agent, its up to Jackson. Most clients listen to their agent, but there are definitely some clients who give explicit instructions. I think that if Jackson continues to have great success with the Sox, enjoys his time here, he could potentially resign. Id say the chances are less than 25%, but it could happen.

I was going to comment on the hat tip, thats part of the reason why Walker hasnt been fired, supposedly the players love him and think he does a great job.
