'60s - '70s without a doubt. Beatles, The Who, Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Hendrix, etc. That music is timeless. There are a few bands today that make great music. Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Pearl Jam, Spoon. But they are not in the same category as the other ones.
