  1. I'm cheering for both Favre and Moss to get hurt! Seriously though, I would like to see the Vikings win because seeing the Packers lose at home again would be awesome.
  2. Earnest Shazor from Mich hhas decided to enter the draft.
  3. QUOTE(LDF @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) just for my mind set, i am divided to turner coming back. is he really the only options available, can he really help the offense get going. i mean his success came what..... 9 - 10 yrs ago. For us being the last place offense, and JA not willing to spend a lot on coaches, I think he was the best there.
  4. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) Fearless Predictions: 1) U of I won't go undefeated. 2) U of I won't win the national championship. This is assuming youre going off of todays game. (If not I'm sorry for false accusations) One game and you make predictions like that? Do the Cinci, WF, and Zags game mean nothing to you? They very well may not go undefeated or win the national championship, but to judge it off of one conference game against Purdue? Is UNC not going to win the national championship because a fluke happened and they lost to Santa Clara(i think it was them)?
  5. I like someones idea to trade next years first rounder, a fourth rounder from this year, and a player for their first 2 picks. The chances of that actually happening though are slim to none.
  6. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) Thats awesome and yeah Cameron Sexton is his name. He's gonna be a very good one, he's hosting his good friend a top 10 TE this weekend on an official visit, so that should be good. As for applying to UNC, if you are out of state its very, very tough. I've heard of 1350 SAT kids getting turned down. But it can definitely be done, so good luck with it. You would enjoy being surrounded by 70% females , atleast I would. Yah, I heard it's really hard. I do have a cousin that is dean at a Junior College in NC and she said to just let her know and she'll talk to some people. Besides that, all I can try to do is up my ACT and SAT score and hope for the best.
  7. Really good game going on between Memphis and Texas. 1:50 left, Texas is up by 2. Its on espn 2 if anyones interested.
  8. You hear about the dual threat QB that verbally commited to UNC? He runs a 4.4 40 and was the 7th ranked dual threat qb in the nation. Sounds like he could be an awesome playmaker. btw: UNC is my 1st choice for college. Hopefully I'll go visit this summer, I cant wait.
  9. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) UNC at #14 with 2 AA's, I'll take it. Hey palehose I got 2 questions for you: You follow UNC football? Did you go to UNC?
  10. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) Hell no been there done that. over the last couple of years the offenses numbers were the best under him. huge improvement over Shoop and Shea
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) Illinois opens up big ten play tonight at home vs Ohio St., 8pm. How's the weather up in chicago. It has been like 34-36 degrees this whole time, so everything has been rain, which is nice. Glad i came down yesterday, or i'd never make it here today. Snow, snow, snow and more snow. Everythings covered and its about 29 degrees. Snow is supposed to continue through tomorrow morning.
  12. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 01:50 PM)
  13. Smith just said that he wants the system to be a running based system. I wish they had some choices for who they want.
  14. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Disagree with ya. Shea put this upon himself. - He recommended Quinn to be the backup and stuck with him too long - Ignored Lovie's stance of getting Hutchinson more reps in practice earlier - Refused to go up to the box so he could actually see what was going on - Refused to make any adjustments - Refused to stick with the run (Jones would average 4.5 a carry some games and would just not get used at all - Did all he could to make that offensive line so much worse. I'm am talking about him just getting pass happy when the run was working. I'm talking about how he wouldn't utilize the slant route which is one of the most effective routes in football right now. its quick developing, high percentage and forces db's to play tighter coverage, thus opening the deeper routes. Failed to call more 3 step drops with the oline struggling - O shea did so many horrible things that I could continue going on and I'm not even an imaginative person. I've been calling for his firing for about 7 or 8 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. This guy was the biggest piece of crap of an OC that I have ever seen. This offense ranked dead worse in the NFL in pretty much every major category. I can't get over how excited I am that the Bears stepped it up and removed this guy. And I don't want anyone telling me he's a rookie and needs to learn. He's 53 years old, IIRC, and has been around the game such a long time. Its obvious to me why he's been around so long and never been an OC in the NFL. And look at his Rutgers team, it blew. The article i posted yesterday from the sun-times really opened my eyes with him. When i found out he called plays with people who arent even playing in that game, something was wrong. Also not listening to any players or coaches for adjustments really hurt him. This is a very good move for this organization.
  15. Auburn won the Sugar Bowl....would have been really interesting had VT not missed a chip shot field goal.
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) So essentially he's a more talented Ronald Curry. He's going to get drafted, but he may need to pull a Randel El. I just know he impressed the hell out of me in the rose bowl. I'm also starting to like the idea of drafting Williams out of Texas (LB) cause it would give the Bears a good defensive line and linebacking core with a solid secondary. Either Williams or Rolle would look awful good, plus the step down from Rolle to Webster (the 2nd best corner) is a hole hell of a lot. I think Dub is probably gone and it looks like DT is back. I also think were going to hear that Shea was fired sometime in the next 10 days. I hope to hell they fire his piece of s*** ass. I've never hated a coach more then I hate Shea. That guy has completely f***ed Justin Gage's progress and singlehandedly help ruin the Bears season. Incompetent isn't just the only thing that comes to mind, asshole comes to mind too. Get that prick bag away from the Bears. His ego is so god damn big it wouldn't matter if the entire team was on IR he'd still call for this 7 step drop/slow developing plays. I read an article in the Sun-Times today about an un-named player coming out and saying he was incompetent basically. He said he couldnt see or hear at all on the side-line. Let me find it and I'll post it.
  17. QUOTE(Soxfest @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) As much as we need a reciever another Mich rec scares the hell out of me. Doesnt Edwards have nearly the same exact scouting report as DT too?
  18. I just hope JA will open up the check book and grabs the franchise player we need...aka Mike Williams (sure its a risk to take him, but i think there is a bigger risk by not taking him)
  19. I would be ok with trading #4 to SD and get their 2 picks for the 1st round. Then we get Jammal Brown and Mark Clayton. But I would still much rather get Williams.
  20. I really like Adam Terry (OT 'Cuse) as a good 2nd or 4th round pick depends how the draft brakes down and who declares.
