QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 31, 2012 -> 09:20 PM) It is the Pistons we're talking about here. Speaking of bad teams, if the Bulls keep playing like this all year, they won't make the playoffs. Bulls never won games pretty whether it be against good or bad teams generally, I'm not too worried. I think they will be in playoffs but possibly first round exit again.

All I can think about watching the Bulls game is how much I miss Rose and how much I dislike Hinrich......I was hoping Noah would be bigger part of offense. Apparently he has 18 points, havent been watching fully since first quarter when his points were all cleanup.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 31, 2012 -> 09:01 AM) Anyone else watching this season's Ink Masters? Where do they find some of these people? Of the thousands of tattoo artists in this country, these are among the best? Half of them are awful. Lol keep in mind a lot of artists stick to one type of tattooing and they aren't stuck to a time frame to get it done.... the competition probably brings the worse out. Also, I imagine the people invited to the show fit into the criteria of being interesting for people to watch.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) Keion can jump through the roof. Also, Flip and Oriakhi are best friends pretty much. I see them together EVERYWHERE on campus. Also, to toss my two cents in: Let players transfer if their coach leaves mid-contract, but not to that coach's new school. Yeah, one thing I could get behind if the coach leaves the program it is kind of rotten the kid is stuck staying or having to sit out a year with someone he didn't come to play for. -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 30, 2012 -> 02:50 PM) If everyone wants to shout down this nonsense for what it is, Ill gladly stop posting. I cant believe that anyone in their right mind still cares about this. You are very good at arguing but seem to not understand sometimes with certain people you are wasting your time. It is like trying to tell Greg that Ozzie Guillen sucks or Mr. Genius that President Obama is a better candidate than Romney.... whether you believe either of those statements are true you aren't going to convince them to change their opinion on the topic. -

Didn't this Wisconsin transfer thing happen awhile ago now, the start of the season is coming near is it possible we can leave the subject in the past or you 2 can pm it out instead of having 3 or so pages going back and forth over something that isn't news anymore. Just one of you be big enough and let the other person have the last word for the sake of everyone else. -

QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 03:17 PM) Looks like, as it stands today, we would be 2 players over the limit next year if all the 2013 commits sign and no one were to leave early. Obviously, there's about a 98% chance Zeller is gone, so that just leaves 1. Granted, this assumes no more 2013 commits, and it sounds like Anya is a huge IU lean. Who knows. Here's my take on the "Creaning" thing: I'm not particularly fond of it, but I also don't see a problem with it if these kids know what they're getting into. At the age of 17-18, these kids should be smart enough to say "Wow, this team already has too many commits, I'm not sure how I'll fit in." It's a little harder for the ones who commit early but are pushed out by later recruits, but they still haven't signed the LOI yet and can look other places, too. Bulls***, if it wasn't your program you wouldn't rationalize it that way.... these are kids and this adult is promising them a future and than ripping it away because he overloaded it is 100% disgusting act. But, college athletics is full of people that do much worse things to get ahead sadly and kids and honest schools suffer from it. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 29, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) They are about to take a big hit in attendance, I believe. The "new park" thing is going to wear off. I don't know, that park is so nice and Twins fans in attendence were so great I'd definitely go to more Twins games than I currently do Wsox if I lived up there.... I'd make sure to have my Wsox hat on of course but outside of seeing the Wsox score 19 on the Rangers I had more fun in that park than any time at US Cellular. -
Well now that we have 2 pages or so stating that being out of bounds is a good rule going to talk about the Bears again. Little concerned that 2 weeks in a row they let a receiver go up the middle of the field wide open, last week Calvin just happened to drop the ball. I know every good team has some ugly games and in the NFL a win is a win but I hope the Bears take a game like this and make some necessary improvements and I hope Tice improves as the season goes along with play calling.... it was criminal that we didn't run more in first half when every Forte carry was going for at least 6 yards.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 28, 2012 -> 01:25 PM) Hey you can come in and be the head coach, you just won't actually be a head coach, and we won't pay you like it either. Who's going to do that? We already did the coordinator taking over thing for 2 years, and it didn't exactly produce the results we needed overall. Zook still caused huge problems. Well they hired the wrong offensive coordinator or things might have been different, but yeah Zook's time was done with the program. Sadly we did seem to actually downgrade with this new coach but at least basketball is around the corner? -
I thought we fired Mike Martz, hopefully 2nd half you can see your RB is avg. near 8 yards a carry...
-
It'd be nice if Cutler decided to wakeup for this game, majority of sacks had plenty of time or as much as you can expect... get the ball out even if its an incomplete.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 25, 2012 -> 06:46 AM) I guess if you think below average is acceptable, there's not much more I can say. The talent overall level of our O-Line is below average, especially until Carimi gets his head out of his ass. That being said, the left side of the line has been playing well, I do think Garza needs to be replaced next season he definitely is losing a step plus he can't be making false starts while the Bears are backed up near their own endzone.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) To go along with the previous posts saying that personality doesn't matter....I find Coop to be a really likeable guy. I really enjoy listening to Coop at the Cork when I get a chance. I'd much rather spend a day with Coop, but I'm a pretty low key guy. That is ridiculous, every time Coop talks he comes off as a dueschbag but the guy is a damn good pitching coach and as long as he isn't making a big fuss and providing results its ok.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Oct 23, 2012 -> 01:55 AM) PFT just called Tillman the best CB in the NFL. I wonder if he will say that after Steve Smith next week?
-
I'm surprised people complained about the O-Line today, besides the Suh sack they did a relatively good job and that is against a very good Detroit D-Line. Particularly impressed by Jamarcus Webb, he was solid all night and I remember him being decimated by Detroit last season.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 11:04 AM) I'm souring on LAST RESORT fast. Am I alone? After the first episode I knew it was going to be a show that dragged, would be better if it was a movie.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 07:43 PM) He's definitely undeserving. There really is nobody in the Middleweight/Lightheavy that would make an interesting fight anymore for Silva/Jones. The only fight left is them vs one another and both refuse to do it. I'd rather see Sonnen than Henderson fight Jones anyways. Really there is nobody left interesting to fight GSP either, 3 weight classes and the champion of each is just so far ahead of anyone else makes a sport less interesting.

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Oct 19, 2012 -> 06:30 PM) lol, are you serious? How did you not know that... Yes, prepare for a lot more throws to Devin Hester and Kellen Davis No, Bennett is back so that helps offset it.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 18, 2012 -> 07:52 PM) With a two percent margin of error, the sample size seems to be significant enough. I guess I haven't done much research on polls it just seems small number of people for state elections to make a poll out of let alone for presidential.
-
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 18, 2012 -> 06:05 PM) you definitely don't want to read this poll, GoodAsGould http://www.gallup.com/poll/157817/election...ama-romney.aspx Romney up 7, past the margin of error... I could be reading it wrong but that poll is made up of only sample size of 3000? That seems pretty insignificant.
-
QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 17, 2012 -> 09:54 PM) http://www.gallup.com/poll/157817/election...ama-romney.aspx Romney lead grows Everything I have seen prior to this link had Obama leading and I bet I can find a polls that have as many if not more with Obama leading. Such a silly comment.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 17, 2012 -> 08:30 PM) They have the transfer, Rice, from Drake coming in next year. He's high major talent that got stuck in a mid-major. That and he already got a decent recruiting class his first 6 months on the job (top 15 nationally...for now anyway) and he's set up with a lot of guys in 2014 and 2015. He's going to get the players, that's not the concern. The concern is how will he do against the Big Ten heavies. My heart says they can surprise some people this year and make the tournament. Having 2 senior guards and a third senior wing should be worth something. But yeah, at least 2 years before the grumbling begins. Didn't know that about Rice, I look at Illinoisloyalty a lot and the hype around DJ and XRM were so high was deflating that got neither of them. I don't expect them to win the conference but I do think with this team Groce definitely can coach them into the dance. I'm hoping he has a stellar first season and with that he doesnt come in 2nd when next DJ/XRM come around. -

I think this upcoming year with Abrams/Richardson/Paul and to a lesser extent Bertrand/Langford the Illini will be in decent shape with Groce offense in place. It is the season after next I expect struggles with Paul/Richardson gone and the only real ball handler on the team being Abrams. But, with how aggressive Groce seems to be on the recruiting trail, after being here a year and especially if he shows some instant succcess I expect some big recruits like we never came close too under Bruce Weber. I'm still hoping Weber does well at Kansas State or hopefully if that tanks he can go back to SIU and make them relevant again, I just think his system works better at mid major level unless given top players which he wasn't able to land himself.
