  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 08:32 AM) I know you are being sarcastic, but kickers are extremely exposed when they are doing their thing. One wrong roll on a planted leg and we are looking at a pretty ugly injury Ontop of that it seems refs dont call a penalty as often when the punter does a clear flop in trying to get a penalty, I have no problem with the rule as long as refs use their judgement and dont call it on act jobs by the punter.
  2. Wow what a run, I guess that Lynch trade paid off....
  3. Wow huge play by Seattle, why the Saints wouldn't do a QB sneak or handoff to FB is beyond me with only an inch to go no reason to give it to a rb who starts 5 years behind the line of scrimmage.
  4. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 10:50 AM) this is what drives me crazy. He didn't drive the run in if he walks. As I've said before don't get me wrong I like him, I just know I'll be throwing things at the TV when he strikesout or walks with an important run in scoring position Is it a bad thing if he walks with runners in scoring position? Obviously it would be ideal for him to drive them in but Ive never been upset when a hitter walks with runners in scoring position, unless Mark Kotsay was batting behind them.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 11:00 AM) Can I ask which prospect is the #1 and which is their #4? Archer and Lee I think, in that order.
  6. My only problem with Fisher is he wanted Collins starting over VY before all the drama started, while VY clearly has his flaws the offense was more dynamic with him under center and you have a future with him while Collins is at the end of his days. I think Fisher's stubborness might cost him the job, but maybe Titans should cut ties with Young as well.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 5, 2011 -> 10:37 AM) http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/01/05/ano...nba-super-trio/ I do think Rose is more tied to Chicago than the other two are to their teams, but I don't know if Rose/Westbrook would work well together... give me Love though anyday.
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 07:06 PM) Wow I am so oblivious lol, the only one I remember noticing is the folder at the end in the doctors office.
  9. I think a lot of Michigan fans actually didn't like the Rich Rodriguez hiring. I don't think anyone thought it would be this bad under him, but I know a good amount of people didn't care for Rodriguez. As far as Michigan fans go, I only like them because they were always on tv moreso than the Illini and Notre Dame seemed too Cubby/Yankee like for me to follow them when I was young.
  10. What numbers thing is everyone talking about in HIMYM, did I completely miss something.
  11. Im not a big noise making person at games, sure ill clap and highfive and whatnot but am I all of a sudden a bad fan because the guy next to me makes a lot more noise?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 02:29 PM) Supposedly Harbaugh isn't interested in Michigan I hope that's untrue, Michigan was my favorite football team and was impossible to root for under RichRod. Harbaugh would take them back up to Ohio State's level.
  13. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 09:26 AM) Besides Luck, none of the other QB's look all that good. Id take a flyer on Ryan Mallet or Cam Newton in the 2nd.
  14. QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Dec 29, 2010 -> 08:40 AM) No f***ing kidding, I'm still waiting for Green Bay to catch a break this year. Injuries were really the only potential setback keeping us from a 1 or 2 seed. Really??? The Packers faced Detroit's 3rd string QB, GB probably loses to Philly if Vick started the whole game, and now you get to face a team that has nothing to play for to make the playoffs. I'm sure there are a couple other breaks the Packers have got too....
  15. I think you guys are being a little tough on Claussen. He is a rookie on a s***ty team, it's not like any of the other QB's on that team have had any success.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 07:05 PM) Ok then. I really don't remember all the details. I just remember reading that him jaywalking was a big reason Stallworth got off. All I know is I ain't EVER drinking and driving again. Right, I'm assuming it was at night and if someone is jaywalking its hard to see them even sober at times... for him to get similar treatment to the guy from the Adenhart case would be ridiculous.
  17. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 24, 2010 -> 04:13 AM) The problem is what it could lead to down the road. What will stop a player from selling something (that isn't worth much) to a booster for a ton of money? A booster could say "Oh, I'd love to buy that Championship ring from you for $50,000." But in reality, it's worth nowhere near that, and the booster is really just looking for a way to pay that player. If the NCAA allows players to sell their stuff b/c "it's the players' property" then they wouldn't be able to stop the above situation from happening. I think it's a s***ty situation, but if you give the players an inch, they'll take a mile. If they received fair market value for whatever they were selling, I think I wouldn't have a problem with it. But there is no way to enforce them receiving "fair market value." I guess the rule could be to sell something you'd have to get approval from the NCAA and inform them the price you are selling it for.
  18. I dont understand how it is illegal to sell awards you have won. It's the players property they should be able to do with it what they please....
  19. Even though this team surpassed my expectations, I remember the majority of you were insisting they were a 6 win team at best and certainly not the playoffs. I think it's time for people to fess up and admit they were wrong . That being said, I'm not sure what to expect from this team come playoff time. If they come out and beat the Jets and a GB team with Rodgers it would make me think they are a legit contender to reach the Super Bowl.
  20. QUOTE (IChaseBlackWood @ Dec 16, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) WHAT?!?! I absolutely could! It might take me 2 hours, but I could do it! When I was 10 I ate more tacos than my 235lb step dad.. I was a skinny little rail with the house record of 7 fully packed tacos! ...all the women in my family have very healthy appetites and great metabolisms ..we're lucky, I guess!! Pfff, when I was 10 I could eat 3 grandslam meals at Denny's and ask for dessert after. And I was the skinniest kid you ever seen.
  21. I cant believe Nona won Hell's Kitchen, I wouldn't want her to be my chef in a local small town diner let alone a 5 star restaurant. That being said, I'm so glad Russell lost, he was such a dueschbag.
  22. Red Lobster Biscuits to go along with a Beef Wellington and I'm ready to die.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Dec 16, 2010 -> 12:06 PM) I thought that movie was a disaster - horrible writing, just bad overall. I'd add Book of Eli, which I thought was a lot better than the popular reviews made it out to be. Book of Eli was just flat out boring, also the twist or whatever was pretty obvious early on in the movie as well.
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) Season 2 was quite good, Season 3 was a pile of human feces... complete and other garbage. 24 rocks, by the way. There was one good episode in season 3 though, when the entire episode pretty much took place in his house and people kept showing up.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 15, 2010 -> 01:11 PM) Dumping a guy from our current rotation who isn't all that expensive for a guy who won't be an integral part of your team until 2013 isn't even close to what I'd call going "All in". It's what I'd call "rebuilding". The only saving grace would be if Sale is inserted into the rotation the money we save from Floyd would probably be enough to sign to rp's that can be plugged into the bullpen. It does hurt the Whitesox depth a bit, but if they think the prospects they are receiving in return are worth it I'm aboard.
