Fiction: Ozzie Guillen will be the next manager of the Chicago White Sox. Cito. Fiction: Jerry Manuel will be employed (in some capacity) by a major league ballclub next season. No one's that dumb. Fact: Joe Borchard should no longer be considered a prospect. Hes had a long time to impress and has done nothing for the last couple of seasons. Fact: Robbie Alomar will be a member of the 2004 White Sox. I dont see us going out and getting Castillo so he'll stick around. Fiction: The White Sox will be the 2004 AL Central Champions. Unless they sign some faster guys and get a solid bullpen, it's gonna be another long season.

Sexson is a hell of a lot better than Konerko. For that swap to happen we'd have to throw in Honel or Cotts in there. And I agree with everything Killa said, a Konerko-Sexson type player is not needed around here.

The White Sox will never be lovable losers. Just aint gonna happen. Pitiful losers, but not lovable ones.

Everyone got way overreacted. This game showed just how much these teams hate each other. After the game, Grady Little even said that the pitch to Manny "wasnt that close". As for Pedro, you dont just f***ing shove a 72 year old man to the ground because you felt like it.

Agreed. Much worse to be second in your city to a bunch of lovable losers than second in your city to the best franchise in baseball.

Something tells me the Dodgers won't give up that much for Ordonez. Then again, we're talking about Dan Evans here.

T-Shirts are a great idea. I think black ones with white "soxtalk.com" logo would look great. Keep it simple and leave the cubs off of it. This is a sox site, not a "we're jealous of the cubs so we have to hate them on a t-shirt" site.

Agreed. I would rather have Prior than I-Rod and Piazza combined.

If its Odalis, Cesar, and Edwin Jackson, I'd do it. Odalis would be a great 3rd-4th starter. Cesar is an NL type player and wont provide much offense, but hes just about the most solid defensive ss in the league. Edwin Jackson is probably their top prospect and would be ready to pitch next year. Having Maggs gone would be a huge hole in the lineup but that deal would be much better in the long run. It would also free up more money to resign Colon. Colon Buehrle Esteban Odalis Edwin Jackson/Garland That looks damn good to me.

That was pretty much a must-win for the Fish with Prior going today. A Prior-Dontrelle matchup would have been awesome but i can live with a Wood-Dontrelle one.

And I guess I would have done better if I hadnt used up all my pitchers innings with two months left in the season.
