I admit DLo has been the most consistent on our team so far, but he just doesnt seem like the ideal leadoff man to me. I guess the top reason is that he doesnt steal bases and doesnt walk. And also, hes a very bad baserunner and his defense aint that great. He has just 2 steals on the season, while being caught 3 times. We need a guy that can get on base, steal bases, make the pitcher unfocused, and make things happen.

I agree. I guess catchers are generally better managers because they handle the pitchers all the time and are so involved that they are kind of managing while they're playing.

IMO, one of the biggest steps that the Sox should take is to get themselves a true leadoff man with speed and good OBP. I think Jason Tyner from the DRays would be a nice acquisition for us. Hes a young outfielder and I believe could be a true leadoff man for us in the future. He can swipe a lot of bases and get on base, I'd like to compare him to Juan Pierre. Hes been up and down from AAA to the majors and I dont think it would take much to get him. If you know other good young players that we might/should acquire, put 'em here.

And may I add that Sosa is 0 for 6 in the game with 5 strikeouts? Yeah they sure missed him

The DBacks get a young third baseman for a guy that collapses under pressure. The BoSox solve their bullpen-by-committee troubles and could easily replace Hillenbrandt with Bill Mueller. I'd say a good deal for both.
