  1. They fought each other in practice? Is this a f***ing joke? lmfao.
  2. On the topic of Nakumara I'm with you, however, I'd say the fault is once again on the booking. The booking for Naku was another glorious fail from WWE. They have this incredible entity who can't speak good English and decide to push him on the microphone as much as possible, exposing his glaring hole. They then have him come close to losing to jobber Ziggler (a match where Naku got like 10% offense in and won), then feed him to the worst champion in long memory in Jinder. But more so, it's what they *could* have done with such an enigmic entity. Have him give 30 second pre-screen vignettes here and there that make him look like a japanese bad ass. Perhaps use captions. Honestly, don't have him talk almost at all, let his wresting do the work. Give him attitude. Have him not necessarily DESTROY opponents, but pretty close to it. Build him up properly instead of throwing him into a world title match only to lose. Pretty much have him go undefeated until his eventual world championship feud with Styles. That s*** is money! On other topic, we have the return of Kane last night. I'm not going to say many negative things about this. It was a decent surprise reading the review, but Kane is long gone and not really something to get giddy about. The real question is what the f*** are they doing with this clusterf*** of a match at TLC? 5on3? When there is Kane and Big show on the 5 team? If the 5 team loses, it makes them all look like morons. If the shield loses, then still, wtf? Don't really see any good story progression here.
  3. To be quite honest, as a distant observer, I think it's appalling that fans would be wanting Maddon to go away. He may have made a mistake with Lackey, but look at what happens when you get rid of such a manager. It could be 10x worse like the White Sox or bulls situations... Joe Maddon is a fine/great manager and seems like a guy the players want to play for. A+ to him. Cubs aren't going to be able to win every World series from here on out and changing a manager would be a terrible decision.
  4. So there's some interesting developments occurring between WWE and the bullet club. I'm not too familiar with everything that has happened in the past months, but it is the most interesting thing happening in the wrestling world right now. Apparently, last night at ROH's PPV, Cody Rhodes disses Reigns hard to the live audience and they had the WWE writer that got fired in attendance and took a picture with him to spoof WWE. Neville recently walking out (Assumed to be due to how poor the product is) is another striker to WWE. Hopefully this sets forth a stronger movement away from Vince's WWE product which I have critiqued so heavily in the past few years.
  5. Lots of irrational Cubbie hate here! Go Chicago! These guys aren't assholes, the real asshole is the National's Daniel Murphy anti-gay bible thumping loon. Glad to see he doesn't advance. Go cubs!
  6. I can really see the Yanks going all the way... crazy... this game and the bullpen is so important these days.
  7. Everyone I talked with mentioned the Indians advancing to the World Series. They won 21+ (??) games in a row and were the hottest team. The Yankees are great for sure, but man, this is crazy!
  8. 3 outs away from Yankees advancing... crazy
  9. How unexpected would it be for the Yankees to take out the Indians? Wow. Might set up a path for Houston to go to the 'chip, not sure Yanks can beat them.
  10. Boring game, rain, cold, slow, bad hitting, boringggggg. Off to game 5.
  11. really looking forward to this game 5 tonight... you got the best team in baseball in the Indians fighting the WC Yankees who are built exceptionally well for the playoffs. Yankees certainly have as good a shot as any team to win the world series this year if they can get past this game 5. Don't know who I want to win, I just know it'll be a good one!
  12. Got to say, Arrieta is a true beast today. Got those short sleeves on in the cold/rain, has the mighty hipster beard, that guy looks like a true badass right now . This just in, Trea Turner still sucks right now.
  13. Yeah, Sami+KO together is an instant Mark out moment for me as well... ... It just doesn't make any god-damn sense tho, and that's what always eats at me. Why can't they do things coherently??? Logical consistency?? Why can't they build babyfaces?? Sami was a natural for it... I mean, FML.
  14. Basically, WWE's love affair with doing the EXACT opposite logical thing continues. There was no reason to break up Cass/Enzo, they do it. There was no reason to turn Sami Zayn heel, they do it. There was no reason to put the title on Jinder and have him beat Naka, they do it anyway. There was no reason to have a s*** storyline like Kurt Angle as Jason Jordans Father... There's no reason to push lesnar vs. Reigns for WM and shoot reigns to the mooooon. Countless examples. It's the marketing campaign of "do the exact opposite of what the people want, just to get them to talk about it."
  15. Seems like the match quality was fine? I didn't watch the show, but the results look mildly unappealing. 1) Keeping the title on Natayla is OK.Giving the US Title to Corbin is a fine move (ie. I hope it means AJ goes on to main event picture, no reason for him to be in mid card). 2) Sami Zayn turning heel is stupid. WWE couldn't do anything with the most natural babyface and talented wrestler, so they turn him heel. Hopefully he can become relevant and used properly now, because my God, what a disaster WWE has done with him. 3) Nakamura is finished. They've absolutely booked him to hell. I couldn't care less about Naka now.
  16. Nats are definitely overrated by the looks of it. Cubs are killing it. If they take the first 2 here, welcome to the NLCS. I still think Diamondbacks are going to make it a series vs. Dodgers and go on to win the NLDS series. Possible beat the cubbies in NLCS. Indians look overpowerd af.
  17. It generally doesn't ruin my day. I find great interest in dissecting the problems, it's what I do in life . For the most part, WWE accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do... nets people like me to the product, even if it is in a negative way. I do have too many hobbies tho, and it would be healthy for me to stop this. .
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 3, 2017 -> 06:18 AM) So Sheamus and Cesaro attacking the team that took their titles makes no sense? I love people who read results, don’t watch, then throw hot takes. I’m more into a SHEILD reunion match vs Miz/Bar than Miz/Miztourage obviously. No Brock for next PPV so need that draw. Aren’t we all? I said exactly the opposite in my post. I'm going to assume you skimmed my post or thought what I said was sarcasm. Shea/Ces attacking Rollins/Ambrose = Logically consistent with storyline. Shea/Ces attacking Reigns for Miz = logically inconsistent and an ass-pull that rivals ass-pulls from the anime Naruto universe. It makes no sense unless Miz comes out and states how he 'bought' them out to help him, which, even in that scenario, still insults an educated viewer. Furthermore, they are putting together their IC and Tag team champs into a likely match that will be a 3on3 non-title match. This leaves TLC PPV with just a cruiserweight and woman's championship match as Boink Lesnar is off chilling with the title. It takes up one of the best storylines they have in their back pockets (shield reunion) and throws it away for marketing reasons and "something has to sell the net PPV". It's a flat out insult to educated consumers. On this topic, when was the last time WWE did something major for the credibility of the product or for consistency in storylines? I don't really know. OK, maybe Brock's latest buildups were good for credibility, but they immediately wiped it away with such s*** matches. Anyway, the shield reunion sucks, the cruiserweight division is getting burried, and they have no idea what to do with one of the best rising stars in Braun. Meanwhile, they are sticking with Finn/Bray even tho maybe 5 fans in a given arena wants to see that on any night (personally, I don't want to see Bray at all after they've repeatedly burried him). I don't know how you aren't more upset about the product. To end, one good thing they've done in the last few months is making Jason Jordan a credible wrestler to me. They've built him up well, excluding his horrendous start with the terrible storyline they gave him as Kurt's son.
  19. Ideal? Bryce Harper heats 36 home runs this postseason as the Nationals fall just short to the Indians.
  20. Just reading the results from tonight... got to say, the shield reunion storyline seems complete bulls*** fabricated. So Ambrose/Rollins gets beat up by Cesaro/Sheamus = makes sense. Then Cesaro/She decide to interfere in Reigns match = makes no sense. Why waste shield reunion on this? Ugh.. sometimes.... this s***.
  21. Posting in here to say go sox on the last game of the season1 Cheers
  22. Smart move with the Packers. Another great buy low candidate is Amari Cooper (I think, at least -- some people claim he just isn't as good as the hype). What I usually do for trades is fine the team in the bottom of the standings that is very active. Look at there most underperforming player that was ranked very high and offer them some form of my most over-performming player(s). Diggs was the key in this case and it netted me a top 5 RB and a top 10 WR (pre-ranks).
  23. With the news of Baldwin being slightly banged up I was able to strike at the right time and make a trade: I give up: Stefon Diggs M. Gillisee I get: Lesean McCoy Doug Baldin I'm in first place, the guy I'm trading with is in ninth. Classic sell high, buy low to a team that is needy for production.
